The thing about sleeping is it's used as a euphemism for some one who's flesh body has died...

Using the word sleep, and using it also, to describe life after death; dose not fit into the biblical description, of what happens to some one who has passed away.

You can be dead physically, but you can also be dead to the truth ( spiritually speaking dead, in that way) .

Christ also gives eternal life, and if you have not obtained that, then you can be spiritually/figurative considered " dead "because of a mortal soul.

So its a play on words that has many confused about figures of speech. But, if we follow the Bible closely, the subjects show us how these words are to be taken.

1 Peter 4:6

For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

You can be spiritually dead to truth, and be preached to, but consciously dead, no. But we know, God is not the God of the dead; but He is the God of the living.

Christ during the Lords day is doing something for a 1,000 years. It is not to let people sleep. But to wake them up to the truth. The priest that reign with Christ, is not there to worship, but to minister to the lost. It follows the subject, because the "dead" had been deceived buy Antichrist just prior to Christ return at His Lords Day.

post #10,,,,all of the scriptures you gave state the "dead",,,,,,,,,,,,(except verse 5),,,it is the verse that uses the term dead as "sleeping in the grave",,,,,,,instead of "spiritually dead",,,so the number (3498)is the same,,but if you look at the Greek in verse 12 it is spelled "Nekrous",,,in verse 5 it is,"Nekron",,,two different meanings,,,,,

so in verse 5 this Resurrection of the dead are those (nekron=corpse sleeping in the grave),,,,,and in verse 12 and beyond are dead(Nekrous=spiritually dead),,,,,

During my time discussing about the bible it is amazing what topics comes up .
Therefore out of curiousity during the 1000 yr reign of Jesus Christ some said that persons will get saved during the 1000yr

Is this biblical are there scripture to support it ?

Why do many believe this ?

Where did it originate if it is a false teaching ?

Thankies to everyone

[h=3]Isaiah 65:20[/h]King James Version (KJV)

20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

Isaiah 65:20

King James Version (KJV)

20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

One of my favorite portions of the Bible

"For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit."

Concerning the euphemism, rather than considering "dead" as referring to being dead to the truth, try this shoe also, and see if it fits, quite the opposite shoe...

Dead because of sin, both of self and the world around, the world no longer has anything of itself to offer the person that it has crucified from their viewpoint, and so they thereafter only live according to God in the spirit, and are indeed judged in a positive way according to the men in the flesh around them.

Dead to/because of sin in other words.

I call it something different. It is not a second change, but they were deceived before Christ return. It is that, they never had a fair chance to begin with. Because of all the lies. So in a sense, they are called the dead as Paul put it in 1 Cor 15.

Paul says that they still have mortal souls ( the new subject introduced in that chapter ). Mortal means in Greek , liable to die. When? At the second death, in the lake of fire.

Revelation 20 :

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

( those who have over come and not, accepted that deception )

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

The rest, were deceived by Satan, its why hes locked up during that time

No one can be considered alive through Christ, if they were worshiping Satan just prior to Christ return.

So in that sense , though they are at the Lords Day, they are considered dead. They live not again, ( resurrect into eternal life ) until after the end of the Lords days, and their testing at that short season, at Satan's second release . ( John 10:28 )

The first resurrection, are God's elect who will stand against Satan, and those people that came out of that babble , that take part in the first resurrection into eternal life, where by the second death has no power. They have im-mortal souls ,as Paul said.

Rev 20:

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

They are helping Christ perhaps teach those people or discipline them , showing the way.

It's not a second chance; just look around, you now, no one has a prayer of a chance, with all the confusion out there.

"Second Chances....

What about during the so-called "millennial age"? Will some be able to have a second chance?

Murray answered both yes and no. "During the millennium we will be able to help our relatives that are in trouble, which means they probably didn't quite make it. That doesn't give them a second chance...."

What kind of gobbledegook is this? How does someone not quite make it? A person has either had his sins cleansed by the blood of Jesus, or he has not. He has either lived faithfully afterward, or he has not. How, exactly, can someone help his relatives without giving them a second chance? Jesus said that relieving their suffering was not possible (Luke 16:24-26).

"Second Chances and Annihilation

Murray affirmed that the meaning of 1 Peter 3:19 is that Jesus "went to those prisoners and preached to them while He was even in the tomb, after the crucifixion, and preached to them and gave them that opportunity of that salvation."

This is the doctrine of the second chance (something the rich man of Luke 16 never got). If God is no respecter of persons (concerning salvation), then why do some get a second chance while others are denied it?

Who, having been made aware of the realities of God and life after death, would possibly say to a second chance, "Well, I don't know; let me get back to you on that"? Those who had been blessed, as Lazarus was, would not dream of giving it up, and those who were suffering torment would be foolish beyond measure to desire to remain there if given a chance to depart...."

so, are they reincarnated to get their second chance? - (i don't care what you call it)

or does this second chance only apply to those who survive the 2nd coming and enter the millennium in their flesh bodies?
if so, what about all the others who died without 'a fair chance'?

how many resurrections are there nathan?
are you a universalist?

anyone who gets a "fair chance" will assuredly say SURE - i'll take it this time now that i know what hell is like, since i have been there since i rejected the idea the first time.

so, all will be saved....right?

considering there's no future millennium, there's no "second chance".

Hebrews 9
26Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, 28so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

Sorry, but I disagree. There will be people born during the Millenium and that will be there one and only opportunity.

nope these people who are born will learn law by force wheather they keep it or not they cannot be saved

First of all, what chance for salvation have the Chinese who lived 4000 years ago?

Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Was there some other way? Were they judged differently?

Joh 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Joh 10:8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Joh 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Christ did not equivocate here. He plainly says that it is ONLY through Him that men are saved. Where does that leave those who lived during the first 4000 years of human history and never heard of Jesus Christ?

God has a plan to offer salvation to every person that ever lived. Ever person that has taken the breath of life will have the opportunity to choose life or death. What about these people?

Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

Why was there no place for them? Neither life nor death. Neither the Kingdom of God or the Lake of Fire. They haven't chosen yet...

Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

The books are opened. What books? The word is biblion and comes from biblios. We get the word Bible from biblios, it means books. The Books that are opened are the ones that have not been opened to the vast majority of man until then...

The other book that is opened is the Book of Life. At this point, these people can either have their name written in it or not. They have the choice. Notice how these people are judged? By the things written in the books or Bible. How long does this go on for? There is only one verse in the Bible that alludes to this...

Isa 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

I am not stating this dogmatically, but it appears that these people are resurrected and given 100 years to make the same choice that every other living human has to make.

In God's great mercy and justice, He gives everyone a chance. Not more than one, but certainly not less than one. He gives all a chance.

Will sondom and Gommarah be saved or resurected to damnation ?

What do you understand by this

[h=3]Acts 17:29-32[/h]King James Version (KJV)

29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.

Note yet God destroyed nations for worshiping idols

Why is that and wil these nations be resurected to be saved or thrown in the lake of fire ?

Will sondom and Gommarah be saved or resurected to damnation ?

Has not yet been determined...

Mat 11:24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

They have not been judged yet.

You have a problem.

If you have not noticed A.M is not part of this forum. And you did not quote me in any of my post, you quoted some one else not even part of this forum. In relation to something I said. But you did not address any of the scripture we, were talking about, in the posts, before you arrived. . Not the scriptures I mentioned, nothing.

thread is about the the 1,000 years written of in the Bible. It is in the title of the thread. And scripture is presented.

You do know what happens just before the 1,000 years don't you ? The majority of the world received the mark ( deceived Rev. 13: 14 )

Christ returns, and there is teaching with those he makes priest ( rev 20:6 ) .

If they were worshiping Satan, would they have salvation then ? Would they be considered having live eternal through Christ ? Would they have a immortal soul ? The answer is .

They would be just as Paul stated they would have, mortal souls at Christ return. ( 1 cor 15:51-57 ). Mortal in the Greek means liable to die at the great white throne Judgment.

When dose that happen ? dose it happen at Christ return, or later ? It happens later, at the end of the 1,000 years as written
( Revelation 20:1-15 ). They are judged not by faith , why ? Because we have faith in Christ, whom we cannot see.

Those people who did receive the mark as I stated before a few times, Paul ( mortal ) dead because they where worshiping the antichrist just prior to Christ return; are there during Christ reign ( Revelation 20:4-8 ). They lived not again until when ? Until the thousand years were expired.

If you read, the verse says they are judged by works ( Rev 20: 12 ). Not by faith in Christ, why ? Because they had Christ there a 1,000 years with Christ in person, teaching them. There is no more faith, in some one you can see, in front of you. It all boils down to your actions at that point.

But, your not likely to look at these scriptures plain and simple, But continue with your m.o. of derailing threads, that are actually getting into scriptures. Are you going to address the scriptures ? I doubt it. Because your not interested in that. Only attacking those who do not aline with your idea, of what scripture is suppose to be.

But me, I have documented what I said from scripture here. It was, what we were doing. We even looked at the Greek .

you do not understand the statement , tolerable ther does not mean a padron but that sodom and gommarah received their just due for what they did .

Jesus was making a comparison a greater than Solomon is here yet they did not believe thus they have no excuse and even sodom and gommarah may say they have an excuse they cannot and will not be saved

Jude 1:7
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

All are going into the lake of fire hmmm Are there different level of hell ? i think not

Matthew 23:14Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
