i was posting that to zone,as she stated the "mill is now",,so as we know if we are in the midst of the mill. then the devil is "in the pit",,,,,,,,,,,,on the other hand you are stating that at the present he is "in heaven",,,do you believe the mill. is now?

i suppose after rereading you believe he is in heaven (present tense now) so it is before the mill.

so you believe the devil is in the bottomless pit now?,,(rev.20;2-3)

Revelation is in the apocalyptic genre, as you know.
it uses symbolic imagery to convey literal truths. anyone who argues this simple point is wasting time.

the bottomless pit is a symbol for satan's "binding"

(he MIGHT be in a literal bottomless pit (i doubt it) - but it doesn't tell us he can't act...does it - no...it says: he can NOT DECEIVE THE NATIONS...that's all it says....now we need to know what is meant by THAT).

.....

as well as trying to understand John's VISIONS (shown in SYMBOLS) its helpful to see what Jesus actually said (and to know what 1st century Jews believed and were doing):

Matthew 12
28"But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29"Or how can anyone enter the strong man's house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. 30"He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.

- But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God...did He? YES.

- then the kingdom of God has come upon you....did he mean it? YES.

- how can anyone enter the strong man's house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man...what was the subject?: SATAN

....is Jesus saying He "bound" the strong man SATAN? - YES.

- how can anyone enter the strong man's house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house....was Jesus plundering SATAN's house? - YES.

more later...i'm sure other amillennialists will post on this.

are you going to respond to my first answer to your first question?
i don't want to waste time.

i was reading 1st cor 15 first,,(1st cor.15;24-26),,,that is where Paul laid out the same order of the kingdom and when it come/came,,,tho in verse 26 he states the last enemy is death,,which ties it back to rev.rev.21;4 no more "death",,,

also in 1cor 15;51-53 he uses the wording "we" in his reference,so if he is referring to those beheaded for the testmoney then also could refer to them beng raised already at death,,,but see most tie this to the rapture theory and the 7th trumpet,,,but if he is referring to the first Resurrection then "they do not all sleep",,,also i do think the kingdom is in our hearts and was present then as you quoted from matt.

zone,i might also add these scriptures pertaining the "kingdom",,,luke 22;16(will not eat till in the kingdom),luke 22;18(will not drink till the kingdom of god shall come),,,,then in Luke 24;42-43 he eats(in the kingdom),,and john 19;30 he drinks(in the kingdom),,,,

zone i reread thru your post for the question you ask me to answer, for the life of me i cant find it,but if i offended you i apologies,,,,

zone i reread thru your post for the question you ask me to answer, for the life of me i cant find it,but if i offended you i apologies,,,,

so you believe the devil is in the bottomless pit now?,,(rev.20;2-3)

which i addressed. which you passed over to ask:

so is David resurrected in the first Resurrection or the second (rev.20;4-5),,,but then in (acts 2;34) states he was not yet resurrected but still in the grave(acts 2;29),,,but then he was not "beheaded" so then he will be raised after the mill. in the 2nd if this is true,,,,

so i asked if you were going to address Jesus Christ saying:

the Kingdom of God had come upon them- the Pharisees He was in conflict with - they accused Him of casting out devils by Beelzebub

- the subject was SATAN.

He said He had bound up the strong man, and was plundering his house.

i wondered if you believe Jesus was referring to binding SATAN

- since the subject was casting out demons from possessed people; was he plundering SATAN's house?

that's all.....:) no offense taken.
just wanted to establish IF there was any indication from Jesus that satan had been BOUND in some fashion.

Revelation uses symbolic language.

if the thousand years is a symbolic term, signifying the Messianic Era, and Jesus said He had bound up the strong man satan and was plundering his house, did Jesus mean to say He had bound satan in some way?

1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
He is both the King and High Priest now.
He entered Jerusalem as King...

Mat 21:1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,
Mat 21:2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.
Mat 21:3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.
Mat 21:4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
Mat 21:5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
Mat 21:6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
Mat 21:7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.
Mat 21:8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.
Mat 21:9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
