This is how I veiw selfishness.

To go against everything God set forth is selfish.

As humans we break all ten commandments by being very selfish.

We steal, kill, ect just because of our selfish aditudes.

We also view love in a way that is selfish. That is where we refuse to love the person as God loves them.

Meaning we refuse to see them as they trully are. We judge by looks, posessions, and wealth.

We all have done this, so have I.

We all even judge by a person's past. So why should we push someone aside because they make a mistake in life?

Are we not to forgive each other as God forgives?

To refuse to forgive people for their tresspasses, it henders God to forgive us for ours.

Allow your horse to chew that type of tobacco awhile.

What are your thaughts?

Why do we do the things we do?

One simple word explains it all:

SIN

So, we are all born with this problem. So, why should we sin even more by pushing the very people away that matters the most? Lol

We should always be that friend to that lonely person who sits alone in the back of that lunch roOm.

God is, so why not us?

Bullying is never the answer it makes u look foolish to pick qnd prode someone due to indifferences.

Yes i was bullied a heck of a lot. Bur u know? Im stronger.

Selfishness in my opinion, is to do something either good or bad, but with
a heart that asks what will I get out of this.

For example a person can give to charity, then tell everyone how great they are.
Giving out of selfish motives.

The Pharisees were selfish, they fasted in front of others to get their reward
from others. They made rules and regulations burdening people, to show up
others and gain their reward from men.

A selfish heart seeks to gain an earthly reward, rather than a heavenly reward.

Hi writer, I think selfishness is loving ourselves more than our neighbor. We're all a bit selfish, but most impt is God teaching us to Love the Lord God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and our neighbor as ourself. The second commandment helps make us see that if we're hungry, thirsty, tired, impatient, annoyed, frustrated... our neighbor (family, friend, stranger) may also be.

I was just to a seminar on bullying and realized there have been some in my life wc i didnt see for what it was. Things work together for good, if we let God. We have a local word, mapagparaya, a mix of being forgiving/ humble/giving/tolerant or meek, which is a positive word. Done to the extreme, some would probbly question it. But it was what Christ was, right?

I cant help sharing this tho. Yest. i boarded a bus home wc was soon full to standing. A boy who looked smaller than for his age (well i thought) stood w/ his mother on the aisle, and i volunteered to put his small package on top of my bag as i was sitting comfortably. It was early afternoon and i chose to eat just some buttered vegs given at the event i was in to be on my way, but on having so many ppl at the bus, thought it awkward to eat (w/ spoon and fork too). If it was just a sandwich, i could have. They were alighting in a town or 2 away, and i thot if i shd just give my lunch, wc was an extra weight in my bigger bag. The trip wc took longer than i hoped, lasted til it was almost dark. As i struggled, i knew i also had to eat as it's another long day and there was some work home when i got in. I held on to my lunch, and thankfully, as dinner wasnt yet ready when i got home, i had my lunch at dinner time before the others=)).

When you think only of yourself and not on others. You want everything for yourself and not ready to give to others.
