By no means do I think I'm the only one being attacked on all sides, but something serious is happening in the heavenlies. So much is going on that we absolutely need to seek the Lord as to it's cause and meaning, but also for His protection.
1. Last week I was hit by a truck as I was walking to work. It was a hit and run. By the grace of God I did not fall or this kid would have driven right over the top of me.
2. Two days later my friend and I were crossing the street when I pulled her back because the truck was not stopping. It was close enough that the car on the other side of the street rolled down their window to yell at the driver of the truck.
3. the college group at my church has just taken a hard hit as the pastor had his title revoked and was asked/forced to step down for spiritual abuse and abusing authority.
4. The son of my friend went in for a serious surgery on Monday.
5. My dad is losing his house to foreclosure--the last property we have in our family.
6. My brother was diagnosed with RA.
7. My mom's husbands grandmother died 4 days ago.
8. His cousin, whom he was very close with, died of an overdose this morning.
9. A girl at my place of work fell and cracked her tail bone.
And so on and so forth... This is not to say we are hopeless because in each of these situations and dozens more God has protected us, but there is a serious battle going on in the heavenlies.
