Today is Friday, and at sunset the Sabbath begins until tomorrow sunset. It is not that I am an 7th Day Adventist; it is simply that I love to observe the Sabbath the same day of the week as did our Blessed Savior, Jesus Christ, or do you call Him Yeshua Mashiach.
For me it is a great pleasure to observe this Day as the Sabbath because it is the day designated by our God to do so, the Seventh Day, the day God, Himself, rested from His labors.
There are other reasons it behooves me to observe the Seventh Day as my day of rest. Over the years the Holy Spirit has convinced me that the Seventh Day represents much more than what it appears, it represents when we are with God, on His Great Day, and begin eternity sharing His rest, and I would never want to exchange that for a mere tradition of man.
There is another incredible reason why I love the Seventh Day as Holy to Jesus Christ. Everyone knows that to our Maker a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day. This holy statistic is mentioned more than once in our Holy Writings. If one looks into the make up of the Hebrew Calendar, the one used by Jesus Christ and His Disciples, one will note that we are in the sixth millenium. Now our great Hebrew Scholars computed the date of the beginning utilizing the genealogies provided by Moses. Being reverent of God's law, they would never add or take away from God's Word, that would be an apostasy. Observing this, when it was discovered that some of the times, years, were missing, they simply continued computing the date of the beginning by omitting any estimate of the missing times. With the figures given and according to them we are now in the year 5771. At the turn of the next Hebrew millinium we will enter into the beginning of the Seventh Millinium. Now with the fact that the meticulous Hebrew Scholars left out some of the years of missing genealogies we know that we are probably much, much closer to the Seventh Millinium than one would imagine. Of that Day and of that hour no man knows. With this in mind, we know that our loving Father rested on the Seventh Day, and to Him a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is as one day.
Praise our blessed God......Abba, Rach benYHVH, ve HaRuach Chodesh. (That is my feeble attempt to transliterate the title of God, or The Father, The Only Son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.)
I hope and pray this has been intelligible, in Jesus Christ's name, amen
