I thought Jesus was killed on a Friday before the sabbath
If Jesus was killed on friday, and rose on sunday,

he would be a false prophet and we should not believe then.

3 days 3 nights means 3 days 3 nights.

rome started easter not God

On 7 March 321, Constantine I, Rome's first Christian Emperor (see Constantine I and Christianity),
decreed that Sunday would be observed as the Roman day of rest:

On the venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country, however, persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits; because it often happens that another day is not so suitable for grain-sowing or vine-planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost.

In 363, Canon 29 of the Council of Laodicea prohibited observance of the Jewish Sabbath (Saturday),
and encouraged Christians to work on the Saturday and rest on the Lord's Day (Sunday).
So is he that changed the times ?
Is he or was he the anti christ ? or is it a system ?

Did this first day start 12 am or sunset ?

[h=1]Acts 20:7King James Version (KJV)[/h]7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

So people who go to church on sunday should break bread on every sunday and preached till midnight ?

Why are they not doing it ?

Do you go to a church that does it ?

One should seize every opportunity to gather together with those of like precious faith. The specific day or the number of days a week is not important.

There is no liberty in the law. There is no righteousness in the law only obligation.
No liberty in Law? Anarchy is liberty? You believe that if everyone does whatever they want, then that is true liberty?

Since we cannot change the times or the seasons all we are examining is the observance thereof. You are endeavoring to create some observance of the seventh day over the first day to create righteousness. That is where Acts 15 puts religious observance into perspective.

Silly me! And all this time I thought this was God speaking...

Exo 20:8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

and I thought this was inspired scripture...

Heb 4:4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS";

Heb 4:9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.

The real interesting part is that Paul walked 19 miles across that peninsula to Assos during the daylight hours of Sunday instead of holding a church service.

The law does not make one righteous. The law only declares ones sinfulness.

The apostles dealt with this matter in Acts 15. Abstain from idols and fornication etc. There is no righteousness in Sabbath keeping only self righteousness.

The Sabbath is a day of atonement. After Christ made atonement for our sins He rested. Christ rested on the first day of the week. After Christ made atonement He sat down at the right hand of the Father.

Still trying to be righteous by serving the law instead of resting in the grace of God.

You quoted a verse to support your point one can do the same because no where Acts 20:7 supports Sunday worship

Christians are holy in Christ. Christ has fulfilled all that the Father required and finished the work.

Israel could not keep the law and neither can you. To offend in one point is to offend the whole law. The law points to Christ not to us. Put your eyes on Christ and on Gods grace not the shadow of the law.

Worship is in Spirit and in Truth not in a given day of the week.

Of a truth it is said that these people worship God with their lips but their hearts are far from Him.

Acts 20:7

At the beginning of the first day of the week, at supper time, the believers came together to eat supper with Paul and say good-bye to their dear friend. The first day of the week for Paul began at sundown, or what we call Saturday evening. Therefore, according to Scripture, Paul preached Saturday night until midnight.
A few hours later, what we call Sunday morning, the first day of the week, Paul departed Troas for Assos. If Sunday had been a sacred day, Paul would not have departed for Troas. (See Acts 1:12)

Paul met with believers for supper and preached to them until midnight, Saturday night. A farewell supper and a Saturday night
