China is an interesting situation for sure.
Diet-Communism, lol

I sometimes wonder with their near future population decline, which may seriously damage their economy if they will suffer another revolution that may usher in a more democratic system of government.

Look at France, dictatorship, revolution another dictator Napoleon and eventual movement towards a democracy, having said that the cultures are sooo different, maybe not.

I tend to think the Marxist-Leninist type revolution is something of the past though.
They also stopped their isolationist policies....
But the problem with their style of lite capitalism but still strongly communistic style of government is that it causes even more widespread corruption through the Oligarch system. (Similar to what Russia has)
Which has led to China's bond crisis and a central bank that is essentially bankrupt.

Atheism has also plagued the nation. Buddhist death cults and Muslim extremists have also not helped Christianity causes either. They slacked off punishing everyone for having a religion for a time...but since the terrorist attacks they have cracked down again.

However since for atheists morality is relative and not standardized corruption, slavery, and outright lying is perfectly acceptable. Even outright defiance of the law is accepted by average citizens.

^ State-sanctioned atheism is also something that escapes most of the West.
Its implications on a population which is already robbed of their individual identities.

Gee whiz the F bomb is non stop everywhere, to me that is a lack of class.

Not sure if that is what you meant but it is a pet peeve of mine.

ChatGPT is fun but I was employing hyperbole, I am sure my life would go on just fine without it. ;)

The main differences between Communism and Free-Market explained by me.

In USA we have The CEO, 8 managers and 1 guy who does the actual work.
In China you have The CEO, 8 workers and 1 guy with a machine gun who keeps them in line.
:D

I choose USA.

The original church of Christ was communistic, with jesus as the leader thereof.

To one degree or another we've got to be wary of ANY governmental system devised by humans to control other humans.
I agree with your second statement, Bob.
That's very true, but a foreign concept to the average highschool student. They were raised in large part by a governmental system and programmed to an unbiblical perspective on every area of life.

I would take note with the original church having anything in common with communism. Communism is a recent system of which Engles wrote about. I have often heard your first statement repeated, so I can see how it can be mistaken .

Our collectivist friends in certain denominations designed a system in Germany as followers of certain leaders. They claim it to be Biblically based. Arguably the church in Jerusalem wasn't following strictly to the Biblical mandates, although they are certainly admired.

On the other hand, Communism is a diabolical invention when looking at the origins and history throughout.

These are a few brief facts about it's origins.

Or fear it. Fear it growing. Growing in academia. In Universities. Dare I mention Jordan Peterson but other thinkers are also stating that ideologies such as Communism are polar opposite to Christianity. Communism is a disguised atheism that seeks to dilute the dignity of a human individual. I tend to agree. I fear Communist ideas and related ideologies.
In one way the first communist community was the first Christians that gave away all their possessions for the common good. So the solidarity would then could look like communism. But with Marx and Lenin they took the good natured solidarity and replaced God with a "system" where God was a threat for the true socialism. It was viewed as a mean for people in power to suppress the masses. So communism is now a man made ideology and system that has the aim to make God unnecessary. Although intention may be for the greater good, it is an ideology not compatible with a Christian faith.

At the root of socialism is the desire for "free labor". Easy living....

It never works.
Because everything gets rationed to spread it around fairly...and waste becomes the norm...at first. Then supplies get tight for things like fertilizers and pesticides. And that part of the gubberment farm that the farmer gets to keep for himself gets plenty of fertilizer and pesticides but the Government portion gets no where near enough and the yields keep dropping....and the tractors keep getting older and older and parts harder and harder to find to keep the tractor fixed. But the oligarch's farm gets ample fertilizers and pesticides and he drives a new tractor.

Not including the slave labor that works in the coal mines or uranium mines...because they didn't make it out of high school. (Competitive school system...you are either smarter than your peers or you stop being educated at the Government expense...wealthy get tutors)

So....explain how this socialism thingy works great for everyone again?

In one way the first communist community was the first Christians that gave away all their possessions for the common good.
That lasted for about 5 minutes. Then human nature kicked in again showing that communism can't work on this Earth.

.Acts 6:1 NKJV in the New King James Bible: "Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution"

The SAME thing was tried with the very Pius and religious Pilgrims.

It was an UTTER failure. And they quickly abandoned communism.

Human nature is such that it cannot be controlled without competition AND a recognition of God, with an accountability to Him.

Communism has never, nor CAN ever work.

some of the Pilgrims almost starved to death the first winter here, and that was the end of communism for them...

Sure, why not? Communism hates us.
As a certain postman once said in response to Elaine's call for action against a barking dog, "Excellent. Eeeexxxcccellent."

Well bear in mind that what the early church did and what communist states have done are not the same. The early church VOLUNTARILY shared. They were not forced by a totalitarian government to do so.

Communism / Fascism / Progressivism (really all the same thing with unimportant variations) sound good to the naive, but in practice are systems people will risk their lives to flee.

Yes, as a Christian, I oppose and despise any brand of collectivism.
