Painted Sunday August 9, 2015 my Niece, Julie told me step by step what to do....first time on canvas....I think we were all surprised it turned out so nice....who knew Blond had it in her?

My art for today,

Love others,
because God loves others,
he created the Earth then,
he created humans,
Love isn't selfish,
but Love forgives all,
and Love is always patient.

A Day like that, 1 Corinthiens 13 Verset 4.jpg

i'm still chasing butterflies around my backyard, and trying to learn my wife's camera, which lets me be further away from the critters, so they're not spooked, but doesn't let me zoom in as closely.
it's amazing how many different species there are being fed just by the lantana!
i've never seen this one before today:

Wow, seriously wow! Have you ever seen what an elephant does with a paintbrush and canvas? They're better than I am.

I've seen it from a distance, but from a distance it just looks like an ugly brown butterfly. You just taught me to look at ugly butterflies closer. Not so ugly. Very pretty. Thanks.

(Now if I could just come to the same conclusion about roaches and spiders.... oh, and centipedes! lol)

Just so people know art is from the imagination, and doesn't have to be qualified by talent or exactness, here's one of hubby's drawings. He made it after a fishing trip.

Can you tell how many fish were caught that day?

Wow! I had to look carefully to see if that first one was a photo or a drawing! I wish I had the imagination to even come up with the ideas for the second two. *If it's halfway recognizable with me, I'm drawing from a photo. lol) Is the fourth a drawing too, because how did you get the top so it doesn't look like thousands of pencil strokes? It looks like a real top! And the fifth one? If I had that much imagination and talent, that would be my avatar. I'm truly impressed. Do you draw as a profession?

Thank you so much for your kind words :)
Yes, in the fourth one I used a very soft pencil; 9b.

Also atwhatcost, I'd just like to add that I think your artwork is absolutely lovely!
I especially love the teddybear ones :)
