I did not put you down. I corrected your apparent lack of facts on just how much weather goes on in 'sunny' Florida. If you feel put down, I suggest that is perhaps your own lack of confidence in what you say.
The problem: I don't put people down. There is a lack of common sense in these boards and immature Christians who cannot be corrected and have made up any number of fantasy interpretations of the Bible. Obviously this does not include your weather reporting but does refer to the fact that drivel is being posted by some and presented as doctrine.
The end is not tomorrow so don't get too happy. Frankly, I hope God takes me before this world gets as bad as it is going to get. I don't want to be a survivor. I want to be gone from here.

See everyone complains about what is wrong with the church usually pointing out one reason or another as I have myself but that is all we do no one does anything about it.
But really what is wrong with the church comes down to each individual in it because he is calling us to a more real more glorious relationship with him but many would not understand because that is the unbelieving generation who had forgotten this is the God who with his own word created the universe how he himself has said in scripture what awaits those who seek his face look at every verse that speaks of the goodness he promises to those who seek him and the truth
We as the body have dug our noses so much into the written word that we forgot he is also called the word really think about that he said he is the way the truth and the light he is called the word of God he speaks and teaches
So what I am offering is that once we become mature and built a firm understanding of scripture we basically go from not just reading the word but listening to it directly from the source.
When you seek after Jesus as the truth tobe willing to do anything for it no matter the cost he will answer and he will take you to a deeper place with him. He opens the frequency between you two he tears the veil sort of speak he become real even just deciding to show up sometimes with his presence or suddenly a gust of wind comes from nowhere and there shouldn't be any wind things that others have spoken of as well.
But how many can say these things about their lives and relationship with him? All these things that sound out there but they also probably sound pretty amazing to some people even if a bit fantastic and different but again do a study on every verse that promises the rewards and blessings and what he would do for those who would truly seek after him
in fact go into the word with the intent to see every good thing about the kingdom and who we are in it in Christ and what he says about us the truth has been right in front of our faces if studied with the right spirit the word of God reveals hidden things in plain sight and it will give you a bilwildering and amazed out look on the kingdom of God
My friend the experience part is just the beginning wait until it becomes not an experience kind of thing but a resident kind of thing where the holy spirit literally moves in with you and though he hides his presence sometimes or suddenly decides to make a bit of wind or fill you with warmth like your body is suddenly whole he is pretty unpredictable.i never believed in the need to have another encounter with God, aside from the Moment of Transformation during God entering into our hearts and giving us Eternal Salvation. but once you have had that experience, and the luckier ones have more than a handful, you want to have another experience and desire it because when i think back on my 3 times, it really is like an energizer battery and i get really happy in a fast kind of way. just really sparked and motivated. put my baseball cap on that has hand written "Jesus Saves" on it and go shopping so Satan has no choice but to read his favorite Gospel Song...kind of motivated
And the relationship you get with Jesus is unreal like suddenly he becomes more and more real to you he brings you to deeper places trains you teaches you even going to the point to interfering if you begin going down the wrong path or doing something that isn't what he wants you to do he blocks every path you try to take and patiently waits for you to just go his way because it ain't happening.
This is just a couple of things I wanted to tell you im sorry if it was a bit out there

I believe that some people need more belief and convincing that God is real more than other people do.
This is where God will will show people different signs that he is real. Through miracles through spirits ( misty) through light, through prophecy.
And then it doesn't stop there, the new converts who come to God still need convincing, and God will again show them something wonderful or something un-explained, that Somebody else would wonder why didn't that happen to me.
Well could it be it was because they didn't need as much convincing.
Because they where not in as much grievance when they came to God. So God had to repeatedly show an individual signs and wonders.

There's an all out attack on God's word going on. A lot of people falsely teach we don't need the letter but the Spirit. I do agree the letter can kill if it's relied on apart from the Spirit; however, Jesus never condemned anyone for trusting in God's word. What He condemned were those who changed God's word; added to it or took away from it, then set themselves up as authorities on God.
This is exactly what's happening in the body of Christ right now. There are those who criticize others for trusting in God's word as "religious" or putting God "in a box." Then they try to set themselves up as authorities on what's best for everyone else. This is the stuff cults are made of.
One of the favorite tactics of these people are lying signs and wonders. If you don't have the backing of God's word for what you do and say, you have to have something else to establish your authority; enter false signs and wonders. If you can't actually perform them, boasting that you can is usually good enough for the gullible target audience you're after.
We need God's word and we also need the Holy Spirit. It's not enough for someone to say they believe in Jesus; they have to believe in the true Jesus. If we abandon God's word, how are we supposed to know if we have the true Jesus or a fictitious Jesus? There has to be an objective standard we can all look to and measure what we profess against; otherwise, anarchy prevails, everyone does what's right in their own eyes.

I didnt say the church, i said the churches that are off base. Not all churches are off base, and the ones that are, are not the church. There is nothing for me to do about those. I fellowship in one that is not off base. Its not off base because the word of God is our focus.
I have never met or heard a person who speaks like you do who has a firm understanding of scripture. You habe not demonstrayed a firm understanding of scripture. In fact you speak/write contrary to scripture. Especially ones that say such things as, study to show thyself approved.
And the following statement has no scriltural support.

When someone says they've matured to the point they can abandon the written word and go to a deeper source it can be translated as "I've gone off the rails."

The discussions discussed all 3 times, all gave me a reminder of things that needed to be done here on Earth while also being reminded who I am in the view of God.
So whenever I am down or feel like another trial is coming, I just remember these 3 occasions and suddenly I am ready and focused and know God will bring me through. And if the trial includes a Miracle Moment, then Praise God because that means I will most likely get to be in the presence of one of God's Messengers again, which is proxy being with God Himself

I live here and have been here on and off for years. My grandparents also spent every winter in south FL
I'm not an expert, but I am sure I have a better understanding of the goings on than do you. A screen shot of clouds is a screen shot of clouds. This am it was 47 where I live. This afternoon it will be in the low 80's.

Well where is He now? You are so unbiblical in your pursuit of personal experience that you seem to have forgotten basic doctrine.
The Holy Spirit ALREADY resides in a Christian. The Holy Spirit is not about tickling our emotions or physical sensations. In fact, those things belong to the occult.
The Holy Spirit is NOT unpredictable. He does not speak of Himself and the gifts from God through His Spirit are for the building up of the church....not building but the living stones spoken of in the NT.
What is actually really wrong with many in the body of Christ, is that they have itching ears and go over experiences and manifestations that are not God and since they have pretty much thrown discernment out the door, they are ripe and just begging to be deceived.
There will a reaping for this and not the great glorious ushering in of the return of Christ. You are deceived

I understand what you are saying. I think we have basically all had 'experiences' with God through His Spirit. I know I have. I don't get on a board and tell everyone about them though while saying I am the true light that has come into the world to lead you into the next level of relationship with God.
I had the habit of going places where young women would best be accompanied by someone and not alone. (I don't do that anymore) One time I was riding my bike on a pretty isolated road when this car passed me, full of men, and they began hooting and yelling at me. Since that is normal behavior for alot of guys (not excusing it), I was annoyed.
But then the car turned around and passed me again with the same hooting at me. OK...not good. Again it turned around and the occupants did the same. They were in the process of turning around again when I decided I was being more than just harassed.
I pulled around myself and headed back the way I came with these people chasing after me.
Right ahead of me I saw two men on bikes and caught up and asked if I could ride along with them because of what was going on with the bunch in the car. They said sure no problem and we rode together to the end of this road where it joined up with a road that was safe. They continued on their way and I headed for home. The car had stopped following when I joined up with the two men.
It all seemed so 'normal' at the time until I realized I had passed absolutely no one on that road. I believe God sent protection for me and this same type of 'intervention' has been a regular feature in my life. This is biblical though.
I think I already said somewhere in this forum that I think of things in my life where God has made Himself so real to me. I don't go looking for stuff or experiences but I do believe when a person is filled with His Spirit and engaged in fellowship with Him, that things we might not be able to explain may happen and that would include the assurance deep inside that we really are Gods'
Your example is exactly what I am talking about. Mine only included on 2 occasions an actual discussion that related to both earth and the Spiritual Realm.

That sounds special. Mine was just a 'help' and I don't even remember if I prayed for protection or not!
I believe these are angels sent by God and we know that is actually a biblical precedent
Our God is the only God who knows the End from the Beginning. Those Angels were placed there long ago waiting for that Moment in your life so you would always remember how real God truly is.
It's what happened to me just different things happened to require a discussion.
Praise God for that experience and I plan on sharing it as this is what happened to my Sister in Christ.

Sorry for the late reply I just wanted to frist address this last part how you said you don't know how I seek Jesus other than studying his word prayerfully.. Don't assume I am saying throw studying and the word away and go into this supernatural state with no bases to stand your feet on that was never what I have been saying I was saying that there is a way to the direct source to be able to truly open your eyes to truly show you what the scriptures were talking about.
Believe me I have studied the scriptures for years I absolutely love doing bible studies when you get together and prayerfully study it just fills you up
Butthere is a reason that everything points to Jesus himself not as someone you you just pray to or study about not Jesus as a God who you have a limited relationship with but as a person as the king you revegf that you hold the utmost respect for as king a person who has a sense of humor who becomes sad who has traits and aspects about himself that reading the scriptures alone won't be revealed.
You think it so unbiblical that he would do the things I talk about? look through the scriptures where does God let man decide what he can and will do? What did he say he would do if we were to earnestly him? him as a person as someone real you have to want the real thing you have to be absolute in your resolve to know the truth even if God takes you into places and things that go against the normal flow you have to be willing to put your comeplete trust in Jesus himself that he will show you the real truth of the matter of God the kingdom all of the things we study about but but to really see and understand it going to him personally and then he begins to open the word little by little as you become closer to him as he becomes more and more real in your life
I don't see what is so unscriptural about seeking Jesus himself and then speaking of things thatthat go against peoples normal way of thinking Jesus did that the apostles did that every time they were different they were alien they went against the normal flow and were lead by the spirit to the point where it just became natural to them they would just wake up and walk around with the power and presence of the holy spirit.
And more so than just that as Jesus is supposed to be our example he walked in this way as well and he spoke of the father like he actually knew him like he had a direct relationship with him and he always refered to him as father.
I mean we call him father too right? so do we call him that and actually mean it because just because he is God he is the original father every true aspect of being a good father originated from him so do you think he is just going to have a child of his call him that and he is just going to remain distant?
The thing is he has always worked in calling us. To be truly saved and born again we have to come him he calls for salvation but in the end we have to hear him call and go to him but he never stops calling us after salvation he is always calling us to draw to him the scriptures speak of this they speak of the things he is what he offer and gives to those whop not just study but truly desire to seek and know him
But there comes a point where we we can can only grow in him so much at a time we can only understand and study the scriptures and learn and grow from them to a certain point as if something is still missing there always seemed to be something much deeper about the word of God that we aren't seeing.
This is where he is like ok your at a point where you are going to have listen to me here. Then starts saying there is a much deeper truth and I can take you there but your going to have stop playing games and be dead serious now no more being double minded either I am your all or don't bother surrender completely to me what I say goes if the scriptures are being read don't add or take away from it don't try to understand don't attempt to use wisdom to discern what is being spoken instead listen don't read simply accept what is being written as Jesus himself speaking to you like your sitting at his feet and he is speaking and teaching you just sit there and listen
