But He does not allow darkness to come in to His Kingdom

Those that continue in their sin won't go to Heaven.





He's all over the place and doesn't make much sense.




And yet God's Word clearly tells us that His grace does not cover willful sin

Christians should not continue in sin so that grace may increase because those who are dead to sin cannot live in it any longer (Romans 6:1-2). This passage teaches that grace should not be used as a reason to sin.

Romans 6:1,2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?




Doesn't mean they were never saved.

Lots of people got saved and then later they fell away loving the pleasure of the flesh and of this life more than walking with the Lord having allowed themselves to be deceived in to turning away from the Lord.

I see from God Father in risen Son, I am forgiven by God Father through Son. I see Matthew 18:24-35 to forgive everyone since by God I am forgiven now in Son. Thanks for your views and your righteousness you use, love and mercy to all,

Sad but true. Sometimes it's fun to talk hypotheticals with these people just to see them claim that you can live in sin and still be saved.

The hope is that they will see how ridiculous their beliefs are.

As an example, I heard a video once of Charles Stanley telling a mother that he son who had been born again but turned away to be come a homosexual was still saved and was going to heaven.

I did not believe the claim until I watched the video for myself and sure enough Charles Stanley did say you could be a homosexual and still be saved! He was obviously ignorant of what the Lord teaches in His Word.

There are serious problems with bringing up a matter there so much disagreement about. For instance, what do you mean by “homosexual”? Can someone decide that they will become a homosexual? Who woke up on day and decided to be a heterosexual, making that choice?

The word and concept of homosexual never existed until the late 19th century, so how can it be read back into a 1st century document?

The first English translation of the Bible to use the word “homosexual” was the RSV 1st Edition in 1946 and that word was removed in the 2nd Edition as not an accurate translation. The 2021 NRSV Updated Edition even goes so far as to footnote 1 Cor. 6:9 & 1 Tim. 1:10 on this word, “Meaning of Gk uncertain”.

Does no one understand the difference between a homosexual and a sodomite? For an example from the KJV:

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (1Cor 6:9, KJV)

ABU'SER, n. s as z. One who abuses, in speech or behavior; one that deceives; a ravisher; a sodomite. 1 Cor 6.
That is a “sodomite”, and it does not describe any homosexual that I’ve ever known about.

There is that other occurrence of the Greek word in Paul’s letters:

For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; (1Tim 1:10, KJV)

The 1828 Dictionary again:
DEFILE, v.t. 5. To corrupt chastity; to debauch; to violate; to tarnish the purity of character by lewdness. Schechem defiled Dinah. Gen 34.

Again, that does not describe any homosexual nor fit the modern meaning of the word. Certainly, a homosexual can be a sodomite as well as a heterosexual can be a sodomite, but that is not the question of what it means to be a homosexual. The medical and psychological fields do not restrict homosexuality to only sex orientation and acts, it includes the emotional and romantic side of life as well.

Christians, when insisting upon Christian purity, remember the Pharisees that Jesus rebuked in Matthew 23. That is what most of the evangelical church sounds like talking about homosexuals.

I see my carnalness, I see my wanting and desire to be in charge, which is of the first born flesh for anyone to see, believe God in the done work for us to be new in God's Spirit and Truth and love all. Which is not easy, and any counter marks made by myself and others causes wars and runore=s of wars. There is a time to fight and a time not to. Reading Ecclesiastes has much to say there, and people will see truth there over error here in this world still

Blow me down, how can one, anyone that sees this truth accuse, abuse or excuse, anyone else? I am learning new in the truth of God'ds Spirit and Truth, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit given to see and be new in love and mercy willingly. You are obviously wrong about the concept of homosexuality being recent.

Homosexuality was normal in Greek culture. It was common for older men to mentor adolescent males. In return, the teenager had a sexual relationship with his mentor.

Homosexuality is sin, but no worse than adultery or fornication. Temptation is not sin. Giving into temptation is sin. Homosexuality is not the unforgivable sin. However, a homosexual lifestyle disqualifies an individual from entering the kingdom of God. So does a life of fornication or adultery.
 
We are not saved by our own works, we are saved to do good works which God has put before us. Everything Jesus taught was works based. While he was alive he sent over 70 disciples to do the works he had done, ahead of him. They testified that even the devils were in subjection to them. Did they achieve this through continued works of sin through grace?

Everyone wonders why the Christian’s are powerless and they excuse it by saying healing and miracles are done away with. Good works, healing and miracles are not the reward of living in sin.
 
Some believers seem to think that a real Christian should never sin. This idea is taken from 1 John 5:18 and 1 John 3:9. This concept also does not take into account other verses that indicate that Christians can and do sin.

It helps to remember that the New Testament epistles written to believers. The apostles exhorted believers to avoid sin and life righteously. Now if Christians do not sin, then such exhortations are entirely unnecessary.

There are many reasons why Christians struggle to overcome sin. The fact that they even care about their sin is evidence of the new birth. Instead of heaping unreasonable demands on them, we should be showing them how sin can be overcome.
i hope all Christians think Christians should never sin. why? because we're not suppose to. just like lying & gossiping, i hope no one does that ever. don't you? will we sin? yes. why? because we all were born with a sin nature & the time hasn't arrived for that to be removed. the difference is a Christian won't want to sin when he out she yhinks of sinning but still will once in a while. but its never habitual willful sin. meaning its not going to be an everyday common place activity.

Yes, that may seem straightforward to you, IF you ignore the last verse of the book of Leviticus:

These are the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai. (Lev 27:34, KJV)

Even for the Israelites, the OT prohibitions are about the male cult prostitution such as in Deut. 23:17-18.

As to Romans 1:26, nothing at all is said about women having sex with women! The only reason people read lesbianism into that verse is because it is the only verse in the entire Bible that would refer to women having sex with women. In v27, that is clearly talking about those males who are "leaving" KJV, or "gave up" RSV sexual relations with females, OBVIOUSLY talking about men leaving wives because they were "consumed with passion", RSV, or "flamed out" in the Emphasized Bible.

To read into 1 Cor. 6:9 the word "homosexual", and believe your translations; you must know why you pick a translation that so totally abandoned the English translators from the 1611 KJV, through the ER, the ASV, the YLT, Alfred Marshall's Greek-English Interlinear of 1958, as well as the RSV 2nd Ed., NRSV, NRSVue, REB. It takes some pretty tough doing to read into a verse a word and concept not used in English until 1900.

I know about the sexual condemnation Paul was speaking about in Rom. 1:27, because a Greek poet in Paul's day wrote about in the very same language as Paul, but in much larger context. It is NOT about simple sex between two males.

Eternal life is only applicable to those who are abiding IN Christ.

Jesus is like Noah's Ark... as long as one is abiding IN the Ark they are saved.

Sinful behavior is throwing one's self overboard and since they are no longer in the safety of the Ark (abiding IN Christ)... they are not longer on their way to Heaven but are once again on their way to hell.... unless they REPENT, confessing their sin to the Lord and forsaking their sin so they can be cleansed of unrighteousness and once again be back in right standing with the Father (see Proverbs 28:13, 1 John 1:9) just like the prodigal son who was dead while away but alive once again when he returned to the Father. (see Luke 15:24-26)

The smart ones know this and abide IN Christ so they aren't cut off as Jesus told us about in John 15 which is what happens to those that do not abide IN Him.

Those that follow false doctrines that ignore the teachings of Jesus... well, not much hope for them and when they get where they are going, they will regret their false doctrine for all eternity!

Homosexuality is male on male sex, which the bible condemns. I don't know what your issue is.

Sadly those who claim to be Christians speaking in favor of sexual perversion do so because they apparently see this as a good thing.

They don't know the Lord. If they did they would know that Jesus said the only union acceptable to the Father is marriage between one man and one woman therefore all other sexual unions are not acceptable unto the Father causing those partaking in such or agreeing with such to be rejected and not allowed to enter in to God's Kingdom.

God's grace does not cover sinful behavior - a person must forsake and confess their sin to have mercy (Proverbs 28:13 and 1 John 1:9) because God is not mocked, what we sow is what we reap (Gal 6)

Sadly those who claim to be Christians speaking in favor of sexual perversion do so because they apparently see this as a good thing.

They don't know the Lord. If they did they would know that Jesus said the only union acceptable to the Father is marriage between one man and one woman therefore all other sexual unions are not acceptable unto the Father causing those partaking in such or agreeing with such to be rejected and not allowed to enter in to God's Kingdom.

God's grace does not cover sinful behavior - a person must forsake and confess their sin to have mercy (Proverbs 28:13 and 1 John 1:9) because God is not mocked, what we sow is what we reap (Gal 6)

Wow! So I can go back to living in sin and it's all good - I'd still be saved and go to Heaven even if I went back to being a servant of the devil and I forsake God?
