Single on Valentines Day

At first thought I believed this to possibly be one of hte worst things ever especially considering I have ALWAYS been single on valentines day. But this Valentines Day I'm not going to be bitter I'm not going to be upset that there isnt that one boy in my life because I realize there are sooo many other people in my life that Love and care for me God being first and foremost. So Today God is my Valentine and is showering me with his love. :) And I pray that he can do the same for you!
 
Amen, sister! Jesus is the best Valentine ever... "Greater love hath no man than this, that He lay down His life for His friends".

I look at it this way...on Valentine's day I get a chance to sit back and laugh at all the folks who had to spend money and do stuff because they can't just not do anything for their lover.
 
.....and the thing is that they can't just get away with giving her a box of candy or some roses, they've got to go all out because if they don't they look cheap or unworthy of her love. Being single on valentine's day is a win win!

I am single as well, but this was my best v-day ever. :]
 
I'm also single and although I spent Valentine's Day at work it was a good day. I realized although I don't have a gf there's God and my family that love me so why complain about that 1 person that's missing when there's so many others that truly love me. I know I'm late but Happy Valentine's Day to everyone and God Bless!!!
 
Saint patricks day is comin up and im gonna be single then to, is there really anything worse than being single on Saint Patricks day??? I guess being single on Memorial day could be..

I am proud of you young lady. Valentine's Day is commercialized and it is about money. It is just one more day the Lord allowed us to have on this earth. Even married people I know don't do anything for Valentine's Day. Jesus shows me love all the time He is bigger than one day!

Yes there is. Have you tried being single through Lent or Chinese New Year? I never want to go through that again...

I've given up being in a relationship over Lent for many years now, haha, I wasn't even a Christian for most of them, now that's dedication :) I might give up being single this year (for the record I don't particularlly bother with Lent)

Trust me, being single on valentines day is sometimes better than the other side.

I spent around $600 on valentines day. My wallet feels SO EMTPY!!!!!!!!! :'( *cries*

I agree. I was the unfortunate soul who had to not look "cheap". I HATE VALENTINES DAY WITH A PASSION! No matter if I'm single or not single, which I've had both many times on valetines day, I HATE VALENTINES DAY! fsa;fj;safjafdaf()WERFJiaj; fpajf8(F&F)EWRU(E DS; <-- speaking in ACII tongues :D (just kidding, don't hate me)
 
yes Jilly81, its a good thread, i think that being happy with singleness on that day is a way to honor God. :)
