Ever hear stories about arranged marriages?
You know how they go.
Two are forced into this marriage against their will.
They learn to love each other.
They raise kids and have a happy life together.
The End.

Singleness can feel like an arranged marriage.
An arranged marriage we weren't always looking for.

But as you grow with this new non-mate, you learn to appreciate it.
It does have certain benefits.
You have more money to spend on Apple products.

Then eventually you grow to love your arranged non-mate, and become rather fond of clinging to the thing that's not there.

Yes you're wedded to pure non-wedded bliss.

I agree with everything you posted, just swap Apple with Nintendo and I'm good to go! =)

You're so retro-ronic.

Stilly, are you saying that because you're a single, you were able to upgrade from a V-tech to a Mac laptop?

Married folks, on average, make more money un-netted than their unmarried counterparts. On top of that, 58% of married couples have significant tax breaks (in the U.S., as opposed to 42% who pay higher taxes for being married), and the combined cost of living for two married people is much less. Think combined meals, one queen bed costs less than two twins, HALF the cost for a one-bedroom apartment, insurance and cell phones are cheaper with combined plans, increased knowledge pool (he knows how to fix a sink, she knows how to patch clothing, etc), half utility costs (a/c, heater, sprinklers, cable, internet all cost the same no matter how many people use them)...the list goes on.

I think there are perks to being single...but having more money isn't one of them. Some of these nice savings could be had with roommates or living with your family, but not all of them. It's also assuming you don't have any kids. That's really where the money goes.

*Runs away the night before she is about to married in the arranged marriage, to be with the one she truly loves: a relationship*

:p

There's a reason why the best stories have a lady who is destined to marry sir-boorish-ugly-boring-guy, but is rescued by the one who she truly loves, or runs away to be with him.. hehe

Top left picture! I know it but I can't think of the movie, help me out here.

Stillwaters-Everything I have seen in movies disagrees with you, usually in said arranged marriages these poor young 20 year old women who are beautiful and have tormented mothers, and domineering fathers get set up in a marriage to some 50 year old dictator who is an abusive drunk and wants her to make him man babies to raise as domineering drunk fathers to take over his kingdom. The only way these poor young women have any satisfaction is when they finally get rescued by the young ruffian outlaw who has a beautiful soul.

Movies are the reflections of reality.

I like your post... except that I read it as if there is an expectation the woman be an equal $$ contributor and that is not a biblical marriage principal.

Yeah I'm gonna pull an O'Reilly and just dismiss your facts and talk louder.
It means I'm right.

I knew the other two for sure. I knew the first one was some kind of Mel Brooks movie, I couldn't think of what though.
