Sink holes

honestly, I think people just make a big deal about it now just due to the fact news can travel around the world in minutes..

its just like people talking about earthquakes and tornadoes ect ect. there ain't any more now then there was 50 or 100 years ago.. its just now you hear about every single one where 100 years ago by the time the news of the tornado had spread across the world it was old news.

There are more sinkholes everyday.
There was one in Australia the other day and there was another one in Florida yesterday.
They are happening all the time now.
 
Ella, I can't watch the video because it doesn't admit content to non-Aussie viewers. How did you manage? There was a sinkhole in Australia? Since when? I didn't hear anything.
 
Thanks, mate. I don't know if there's anything to worry about with the smaller sinkholes but the larger ones definitely are an issue.

I was seriously just watching a show about sinkholes 20 minutes ago. It's about the underground tunnels and how we keep digging, resulting in weak support.
 
Most of the housing and developments in Florida were built on very unstable land. There is a type of mineral that diminishes with more and more water flow, or something like that, and so, sinkholes. I'm not a scientist so I can't really explain it but they are explainable, and you'll only get them in certain regions. Where you find them, you find weak ground.
