Sins - mainly the gluttony sin

Hi,
Can someone explain the gluttony sin? Is it a sin to eat fast food and junk food? If that is the case it is definitely a big struggle for me. I do enjoy cooking but every time I cook I don't want to eat it. My husband loves my cooking buy I always lose my appetite. Suggestions?

Its more than food its any excessive abuse of what God intended to be for good.

Its more like making something a idol, something controls you over you yourself.

If food controls you and creates harm to you then it could fall under gluttony. But many have genetic problems making weight a born into issue. So its just a honest heart check. Are you making food a idol or do you control food.

From what I remember from scripture is that gluttony is also associated with being a drunkard and being lazy to the point where you don't do anything to live and provide for yourself. I'll check to see if that's correct or not.

The glutton ends up living only for the purpose of eating and drinking. It becomes as if it's idolatry. You think, sleep and live for food.

Eating fast food and junk food all the time isn't using wisdom in your food choices and could lead one into gluttony, but it's not gluttony in and of itself. Do you cook foods you enjoy eating?

It's much healthier to eat food you prepare at home rather than eating fried foods and fast food all the time. Part of the problem is that fast food is easy and convenient so many of us give in to that way of eating. We tend to want instant everything for various reasons.

It is unhealthy to eat too much junk food. We can pay a severe price for that.

This is an excellent example of gluttony, the Almighty fully intended for us to enjoy wholesome food, however anything intended for good can be perverted by miss use ... We as believers should be striving to live a higher standard and not give into what the world my pass off as acceptable.
My council to you is to pray the Father will cause you to desire what you cook rather then going and eating fast food, if nothing else just for the health part of it.
