Have you come to the part yet about the man defending/guarding the painting in the art gallery?
Since someone else bumped this I'm going to reply to this. Reading the entire book would've been worth it just for that tiny section. Super helpful in day to day life and something I'd never have considered.

Men like you (and you ARE a man..... just not as old and decrepit as some of us) are the reason I keep hanging in here taking some of the crap I get handed about how to best deal with this addiction.
Thank you.

I don't buy it, everyone knows sex will equal kid. do not want kid, do not have sex. really simple. just like do not want to be in prison do not pull off armed robbery of bank.

Do not want a kid, then use a frickin' condom!! That's what they're made for. Or get yourself spayed or neutered.. lol

I'm going to reply to this and I'm going to try not to sound disrespectful. If I fail please forgive me, i honestly mean zero disrespect.

Have you ever, as an underaged person, attempted to get a condom or two while living/going to school in ultra conservative abstinence only preaching circles? especially while knowing full well that sex outside of marriage is wrong....its very easy to say "Nah, I'll abstain and never need one. its easy!". Also, condoms fail. ALL birth control does. But in the end I'm super intensly tired of good Christian people not looking at unplanned pregnancy and immediately dismissing the parents as half witted because they made mistakes.

I said it before, I'll say it again...until you've sat on the other side of an unplanned pregnancy you cant totally comprehend the emotional roller coaster it brings. The "friends" (who are intensly pro life...) who are gone, the churches who condemn, and the automatic assumption thst every teenage pregnancy mirrors an mtv show are overwhelming enough.

Christ offers grace. A redeption I've never known till very recently, a future, and hope. I just wish Christians would extend the same grace.

Willie, what was the name of the book you recommended again? "Eyes of Honour"? Thanks.

I'm absolutely blown away by the wisdom you display.
God bless you, brother.

I just want everyone to know that I'm in no danger of 'hooking up" "being together" or dating anyone anytime soon, so you can all just calm down and relax....

Really neat kids like you and about a half-dozen others on here who are equally cool, are the main reason that I expose so much of my messed-up background to ridicule here.

There are far more than enough self-righteous, churchy-types telling you kids all sorts of goody-two-shoes stull about, "..... all you have to do is....." And I believe there is a world of teens out there who need to know there are some "real" people who have also made it......... though we found we had to work a little for it.

Not saying all the other recommended things can't work. But, God just seems to have some of us travel a different path sometimes.
