I'm a recovering cutter, and I was just wondering if there is anybody on here that is too. I have just recently surrendered my soul to Christ again, and I'm tryin my hardest to live up to the standards he set. I guess I'm just looking for someone to talk to really. Thanks for stopping by...lol.
 
I never cut but I used pills to kill my pain.
I know a lot of people who had cut at one point or another.
Trying to stop any self harm can be hard. Or even trying to keep from starting again can be hard. But prayer and the study of Gods word can and will help you. Talking about it and getting to the root of why you ever stared in the first place is a big step to recovery.
You can be who God wants you to be.
I'll be praying for you. God Bless.

But I was just saying the truth. If it weren't for prayer and studying Gods word I know I wouldn't still be here.

God is Good! He is our strength in times of need.
And our brothers and sisters in the faith are here to help one another in our spiritual walk.
We can always go to one another in time of need but no one can help heal our hearts the way the Lord can.

I use to feel the same way..
The point is...

1- God says confess with your tongue.

2- when we pray in our rooms, we pray out loud. Its like talking to a best friend. We always feel better after we talk out loud about what's bothering us. So pray out loud when you're alone. Get it out. Feel better and smile.

Trust me, I've been there. Its weird at first but over time it's like breathing, you don't think about it you just do it.

Prayer that God hears is offered in faith and repentance in the name of the Lord Jesus because of His death at the Cross for sinners.

Romans 8 says: "He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"

I have never caused myself self harm, but I have gone through some really rough times, and still continue too. All I can say is keep your faith in God, he does not bring things to us just to leave us. He brings hard times to us to get closer to him. Stay strong and don't give up and give in! Praying for your continued healing and growth in Jesus Christ :).

Keeping a journal may help...I did this a lot as a teenager and it really helped me to think about what I was thinking about :). Somehow, it makes things clearer.

Being around other Christians really helps...are you attending a church?

Romans 8 refers to the Spirit of God indwelling His children crying 'Abba, Father'. When Christians pray in the name of the Lord Jesus, it really is as natural a thing to do as breathing. (Prayer and the Scriptures, together, really.)

@lucy 68, yes I do attend church and a youth group and that has really been helping me out...and I do enjoy writing and thought of keeping a journal but haven't had a chance to start one really..Thanks all:)

hey SJ, i'm scotty, and i cut my self a few times and i can honestly say i know what its like. sorry i know the pain. i'll be praying for you!!!!!!
