I'm actually starting to able to talk to a few girls now somewhat normally, but it's just at school/church/work right now. I'm thinking asking a girl to hang out with me and some other friends(that she knows too) to hang with me and to do stuff. I mean this type of thing will help me become closer friends with a girl right?

My other question is how soon can you ask them to hang out? and how do you do without being creepy and awkward?

You haven't known her that long, right? Start of just asking if she's going to some school/church/work event you're also going to, and if she is say, "Cool! Guess I'll see you there then, I'm going too...". If you sit in a group with her in it at lunch, that's a start as well. Getting to know her by hanging out in a group helps break down those barriers of not knowing her too well- can ask her questions and such, maybe start to talk to her a little outside of where you usually see her.

How soon to hang out... just as friends, right? Well after knowing her for a month or so, just ask her if she'd like to go on a group thing with you and mutual friends. Feel it out, and you'll find the right time to ask her for one-on-one hanging out.

Yeah, I'm just looking for girls as friends right now(as amazing as it sounds). You know getting to know them better see how it goes. You know form friendships, maybe become best friends. Hopefully one will eventually become my girlfriend, eventually wife. But I'm not saying the main reason I want to hang out with these 2 girls are just because I want to marry one of them.

I have no clue if this coming off the way I want it too.

Basically my base group of friends is pretty much all guys, and the girls in the group are married, have a boyfriend, or are too old.

btw, the main one girl I was talking about(since she's probably a lot more likely to hang out with me.), I've known her for about 2 months.

Just say "Hey, are you busy later (or this saturday, or whatever)?" If she says no or not really, say "Do you want to grab something to eat (or have a drink, or see a movie, or whatever it is)? It should be just like asking a guy friend. If it was a guy you'd be like "Hey I might see that movie this weekend, the one about ____. Wanna go?" That would work for a girl too.

just be like yo! me and some friends are going to _____ wanna come along? :)

Awesome, my fine unfeathered (a penguin has no feathers right, a prinny is a penguin look-a-like :D ) , bird bud, dothack0 , keep on going forth and doing that, but with God the

of your asking. By that I mean, God should be numero 1 in your life, and, put Him in the

of all that you do, including talking to girls.

Don't do things off-center either, to the best of your ability, MAKE it SERIOUS, that you will keep God in the very vortex of your angled thoughts , God-centered. :)

God bless you , Christ bro :)

"So.. me and (insert friends names) are going to (insert innocent but awesome activity here) on (insert time, place info). Would you like to join us? Your welcome to bring a friend if you like (whom you would offer to pay for)."

Reasons why this statement is awesome.
You are being courteous by doing the asking, but nonchalant by using your friends as compatriots.
Make sure the activity isn't bluntly romantic nor forces people to couple up, since it will make make others feel forced and awkward.
Clear and accurate info is key, so they don't show up due to getting lost due to vague instructions!
Allow female of your interest to bring a friend, this is allowing her the chance to feel safe, and the chance for you to impress the friend (cos if the friend likes you (in an appreciative way not attracted way), she will influence/encourage said friend to get involved more in with a group with you in it.

All the best & God bless

Your really good at making platonic friends, and Im really good at getting a spouse. Maybe me and you need to switch selves like Freaky Friday or something and help each other out LOL

I take it if I need to be more than causal friends with girls, I need to hang out with out of chruch and stuff to grow into deeper friendships right. Not asking as if it's a bad thing, but I'm just want to make sure that it's next step after just causul at church friends.

Put 'Him' in center of your life, dothack0, hanging out, going out, make Him your reason for talking, your reason for listening, your reason for reasoning , your reason for everything . :)

Re-word what you said above, you lost me a bit, Christ bro. Thx.

Basically, I'm just want to make sure that after being causual friends(chruch friends) that hanging out in a small group setting with a girl is the usual way to grow closer as friends.

No idea why I read this post...but anyhow, I think the way you label church friends as "casual friends" is detrimental to your spiritual welfare.

I actually somewhat recently stopped going to a young adults group that was decribed by one of the members as "wednesday friends" because they met on wednesdays.

The whole point I am trying to make is that if you categorize church and prayer/God-seeking to something you label casual and try to make "true deeper" relationships outside this, you will fail. Because in Christ, we can both be loved and love deeper than anywhere else.

So, perhaps making your church time more sincere and deep (not saying that you are now shallow or insincere, but just saying make it more) than you ever have before. Eventually both God and girls will notice.
:)
God bless
