To start off, I don't hate men... Some of you drive me up a wall at times, but I know there are a good few out there. But I am so fed up. I have prayed and sought counsel for this for months and I have come to the conclusion that much of this perverted attention I get has a spiritual root. I can see how it seems so, but I really don't believe this is overspiritualizing. Some of you know my testimony so the root is probably simple to see.
I have attractive friends some of whom dress provocatively. I do not. I'm feminine. I wear dresses. I like color. I llike clothes, but I cover up. But this doesn't seem to work. No matter how much I ignore men, reseat myself, or tell them off... I'm like a freaking magnet to them. I'm not being picky. I'm not talking about a wink, a smile, or even a compliment. I'm talking the perv stare from across the room, the completely suggestive postures, gestures, and animalistic grunts. I'm sick of it, but I feel like I can never get away from it. My mentor knows all about it and its gotten to the point where I have my own little group of intercessors because in some demonic way Satan is dragging the worst of the worst to me.
Just a few days ago I was riding the bus as some crazy old man started reprimanding me in a bus full of people for texting. I was so close to telling him to back off and the he starts hitting on me. The next day I went to the worship kinship at my church. Some new man came and I was stuck outside waiting to get in. I didn't know the man but I was cautioned in my spirit so I texted the pastor inside the building "please don't leave me out here with this stranger." He came out and everything was fine. But that night the same man was at a church Valentines family event. I walked in the room and went to say hi to my friend whom he was talking to. I said hi and he told me if I went outside the cops would pick me up because I looked like a prostitute. Why, because I wore red to a Valentines event?! Then a few minutes later as I was avoiding him, he approached me while I was talking to a friend and told me I was obviously looking for a husband. I turned and walked away and my friend followed me. I told him about the previous comment and he almost hauled off and punched the guy. The whole night this guy stared at me from across the room. I couldn't dance because I felt like I was being stripped bare.
Yesterday morning I was walking to church and at 6 am 3 different men pulled off the road to give me a ride. Two of them turned around several times to come back for me. When I got to my meeting point, some crazy man at the McDonalds started in on me, offering me movie contracts and declaring it was definitely not porn because he was catholic. I ignored him. I moved. He just kept going. When my ride finally got there he told me I should invest in a fake mustache.
I'm so sick of this and I don't know how to make it stop. This was just a few days of my life.

Then as we were walking to Starbucks mid-service to discuss the worship set, we passed by a bus stop. I don't even want to imagine what this guy really said but I saw the gestures and those sounds. For goodness sake I was in a group of 4 men and 3 women and even they saw he was tracking me only.

As I was talking to my pastor, I told him I really wanted to go man-clubbing. He thought I wanted to go pick up on guys. "Nope", I said, "I need feel like I need a club so I can just knock all these men upside the head." He just laughed and offered duct tape and a mustache.

And for those of you wondering, 3 different men offered to confront the guy at church. One wanted to just punch him, but the two pastors both said they would confront him about his comments.

Looking for my helmit to wear to church.

It seems thatspirits of our enemy have been sent out with a mission to harass and seduce mento lust upon you that you are around, Spiritually take this to the Lord i recommendyou apply the whole armor of the Lord upon yourself daily and wait until His powercomes upon you to speak and command spirits to depart and be bound by the powerof the blood of Jesus. If it is bothering you seek the Lord why or what in you is weak that you would believe the lie that it is coming from you. To me it is a sinch that the man in the bus if proof that it is not coming from you, but spirits sent on a mission to steal kill and destroy you. My prayer and desire for His agape power to defeat all your enemies in the precious name of Jesus.

Oh Kefa! I only punch men at church... But only ones I know well who don't try to pick up on me. I've only been hit back a few times.

Seriously though, I wouldn't even imagine hitting a stranger unless try we're being gross... An even then I'd probably sick my pastor on them. He's already had a few meetings with a few different guys in my honor. Unfortunately for his family, but fortunate for me, one hasn't come back to church since he PROPOSITIONED me when I was leaving. My pastor didn't even blink. He just went on the chase. I do have great guys who have my back. I'm lucky in that way. I'm much better at standing up for myself than I was a year ago.

That being said, Kefa, flattery or even misguided compliments don't bother me. The perversion is what gets to me. So as long as you're a good boy I won't club you.

Though if I'm not careful I'll never get remarried because every man I know will have to face all my protective friends. That could be a heck of a wall to climb. Guess I better pick a good one. This is good though. It's redemption, and I'd rather be over-protected than under-protected.

All I can say is that I can not relate because I am not a woman. What I can recommend is to learn more from the woman in the bible, specially the blessed virgin Mary and they can give you an example on how to walk with Christ as a woman. Not to learn to believe in God, you already do that. Simply a good example for woman from the bible.

It's true you can't relate, but perhaps there is something I'm missing.
Imagine walking through a field of starving lions with a slab of steak tied around your throat... one that you can't untie.

This is why I said maybe studying the life of the blessed virgin Mary may help. Do you not think that evil wanted to ruin her?

Rock022, you're victim-blaming Jordache. These men have no right to be harassing her about her body. It is HER body and she chooses to use it as a temple to God. She could walk around the streets naked and it still wouldn't be her fault that she gets harassed like that. These men are CHOOSING to be lewd and perverted with her; nothing is forcing them to act in this disgusting way.

Jordache, I'll pray for you. I'll pray that God continues to supply you with protectors so none of these men bring harm to you, emotional, verbal, or otherwise. I pray that these men see the error of their ways and that the feminist agenda is uplifted so that men do not blame women for men's inability to control their lust. God gave men free will. Men are not animals who go into heat and rut without thought. Men who attack women simply for being women, attractive or not, are scum who CHOOSE to attack these women. It is not your fault.

God bless.

Well, I don't know much about Mary because their really isn't much about her in the bible. Thank you for your suggestion. Perhaps you could be more specific about what parts if Mary's life. Mary is in the gospel but truly the Gospel is about Jesus. In all there is little about her.

As I said, this is definitely more spiritual than anything. It is warfare against me. In fact, I now have my own little intercessors team since it seems the attack is strong and increasing. I did get some revelation today though. I've been going through the whole bible this year with some friends, and yesterday I read the story of Israel's first battle with the amalekites post Egypt when Moses had to keep his arms raised to ensure their victory. The Amalekites is an archetype for spiritual predators who go after the weak or weakened. It's interesting that my analogy had to do with lions who are known for going straight for the weakened. During that battle Jehovah Nissi was introduce... The Lord is my banner. Moses hands were raised to symbolize the holding up of this banner. In olden days the banner was an announcement of who was the leader and protector of that army. The banners often scared off predators because they saw who was really behind this battle and they couldn't win.

Rock, all is well. No offense taken. My family has its origins in Catholicism. I'm sure I can learn to make better choices. I understand that there are circumstances that lead to this, but this issue is more this:
I am always the one to be picked out of a crowd. I could be alone on a street corner or in a crowd. I could be dressed in a gunny sack or running down the beach in a bikini. I could be so many things which could cause the attention, but the fact is I'm not and even when I'm surrounded by people who are more "deserving" of the attention than I am, I get it.
There were a dozen other people within 5 feet of the guy on the bus. I ignore him yet he still singled me out.
I walk to church every Sunday along the same route. There's never any traffic. That day all the traffic seemed to be desperate men.
There were two other people with me that Sunday morning and I was the only one getting harassed.

I was walking to Starbucks in a large group... Men included... And the guy said NOTHING and did NOTHING to anyone else.

LOL!!! I'm laughing so hard right now at your first post. I know this isn't a laughing matter. Actually, it sounds a lot like me in South America . I was barely hitting puberty, around 13-ish, I liked to walk around downtown Santiago (Chile) with my dad and these nasty old men would always look at me funny. I felt so dirty all the time. It wasn't just "looking at the foreigner" because I know what that looks like. It was the perv look. We were actually approached one day (my dad and I) and this 30'ish looking man came out and was overly friendly with me. My dad gave him a weird look and we left. I never understood what I was doing wrong, I didn't dress like a whore, I wasn't developed (at all). I looked like an 8 year old, yet the looks I got astounded me...

Prayer heading your way :(

I'm giving this one some serious thought. I know what it's like to be marked by the enemy. Sometimes I feel like a radio transmitter, people or things get within transmission range and the insanity that results just boggles the mind. Your intercessor group sounds like the right approach. Perhaps some fasting and prayer is called for.

You could try some facial warts and scraggly false teeth, but while it may work on humans I'm not aware of any demons who are put off by that sort of thing :)

I'm praying for you.

Hahaha Ricky... One pastor suggested a mustache. The other suggested hillbilly teeth. :)

I know it was said as a joke but making yourself as unattractive as possible then seeing if you still get the same result may rule out demonic influence. I have noticed more sexual confidence among all the males I work around. I believe it's related to the increase in the promiscuity among young women. According to their reports, teenagers, young adults and women of all ages really are just "giving it up". It's a sad trend. I have a fifteen and an eleven year old daughter and I know they will have to face all sorts of harassment. I pray for their safety as well teach them some self defense, but I like your club idea. Maybe they'll be cheaper by the pair. Is your neighborhood safe? If it's not demonic do you want me to pray that God makes you less attractive? I'll pray for safety just the same. God bless.

Hugs Jordache, I thought I was the only one to be punched by a strange guy at a bus stop. :)
The truth is, you dont have to beat this, Jesus already has.
In faith, know you are a daughter of God Our Father, and in faith know that no other has any power over you, for you have the perfect as your protector. :)
Sometimes ones doubt of self, opens a door to attack by the thief, know in faith that the thief has no hold on you! :)
Ill keep praying, as I know Gods protective hand is always with you. :)

Hugs and God bless

I know I tell you this a lot, but my wife had the same problem at your age. She learned to dress down to the point where it was hard to get her to dress up for me after we got married. If you can accept this from a man, this is a crisis you have to solve. Solve this, and you will lay to rest the demons bothering you from your childhood. Pray for it, pray that the "aura" of self-image you project will change, that people will see you as beautiful from the inside because you serve the Lord, not beautiful from the outside because of your body. Let your own understanding of beauty shift to the understanding He has.
