So you understand that to say you have never murdered is not possible. You understand the spirit of that law. So you understand that you have disobeyed that commandment. Though you have kept it outwardly for men to see, you know God sees you break it.
The reason why the letter kills is because a man thinks he keeps the commandment when he really doesn't. Keeping it in an outward, ceremonial way won't save him.
What is the spirit of the commandment is what avails us. The letter of the commandment is deceptive and allows us to think we are keeping it. Sin takes advantage there and kills us. Ignorance of the specifics of the law is no excuse. And the fact that we are not capable of never having anger is no excuse.
Since we know that if the inside of the cup is clean the outside just is as well, in what way might we not be seeing the fourth commandment clearly just as we used to not see the one about murder clearly?
all that sounds very theological. I just know this. Yeshua paid the penalty for my sin, which is death. So, I don't walk around saying, "oh those commandments are too difficult, I can't keep them". No. God forbid. I try to renew my mind, that I may conform to the perfect will of God. His law is perfect. Can you get any better than perfect?? It is so simple once you get it. You can't be saved by keeping the law. That is not what the law is for. Salvation came by promise!! With that said, the applicable commandments that we can keep, are not a burden.

Straight forward? When you decide your religious belief have to go with any particular day HAS to be the Sabbath? You lost me.
Here's my Sabbath rest. Hubby and I are both disabled, so we couldn't do work six days in a row. So we took our Sabbath rest every six days, instead of seven.
And then hubby took a turn for the worse and is recovering now. Recovering includes assistance at home. Three people come to our house now, plus he needs me when they aren't here. (He needs me when they are here too. lol) So now Sabbath rest has become one of those few days no one is coming over and everything that has to get done is done. He's been home since June 23rd. Tomorrow will be our first Sabbath rest.
And we know that for those who love God all things STILL work together for good, for those who are called according to HIS purpose.

Nope. Even proper nouns are translated into the language the rest of the text is written into. That's why we call him Jesus, not Joshua.
sorry to hear about your husband. That does not change the 7th day Sabbath commandment. God says it is His Sabbath. I am just glad He allows me to try and guard it.

If you understand that to be angry and resentful is to murder, you actually DO say, oh that commandment is too difficult - nay, it's IMPOSSIBLE to keep because anger sometimes rises up in me so fast I can't immediately stop it!
It's pretty easy to keep it ceremonially, outwardly. It's impossible for you to keep it in spirit and the word is spirit because God is Spirit.
So you don't begin to see that His commandments are easy. You begin to see that they are dreadfully exacting and perfect and that you are not.
So...now what? Are we meant to just stay in this condition of unholiness and impurity?

Really? Which day is the seventh? And I'm asking from a Biblical perspective, not from our modern calendar.
And how do you delight in it? I'm guessing today isn't your Sabbath, because you're not being delightful. You're being very condescending.

Yeshua and His disciples kept the 7th day Sabbath. There has been people in Israel keeping the 7th day Sabbath ever since Yeshua walked the streets of Jerusalem. This is not a prehistoric thing. People have been counting to seven all along. I didn't think I was being condescending. I am just trying to get people to see the truth about the Sabbath. Today is the 1st day of the week. I have been working in my yard and my garden, except for several water breaks to jump in here. Very hot today! Also, just as an interesting note, until very recently, almost all calendars show Sunday as the first day of the week. Some have changed now.

how is obeying your King legalism? not in my book. The law is not for salvation. It never was. Salvation comes by promise through the seed of Abraham. If it could be obtained by works, then it would not be a promise.
