Sin is the transgression of the law.

Regardless of race or gender. Sin = death.

Did God need to give a written codified law to Adam and his children?

God talked to them and we do not know exactly what was said.

The standard of sin does not change. God does not change in moral standards.

God does not say it is not sin to lie one day and it is sin the next.

Keeping the sabbath holy is an unchanging standard from the start. This standard does not change.

God's moral standards don't change.

God is Love.
Rom 13:8-10
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Love for God is in the first 4 commandments.
Mat 22:36-40
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

These laws including the Sabbath was there from the start.
I keep telling you that Gentiles were not in covenant shown in Exodus 24.

Jesus was only sent to Israel.

Here is a good answer to the question; are Gentiles under the law by AI.

Based on biblical analysis and theological study, the claim that Gentiles were never in covenant to obey
the Decalogue (Ten Commandments) as part of the Mosaic Law is supported by several key perspectives:

Exclusivity of the Mosaic Covenant: The Ten Commandments were given to Moses on Mount Sinai as a
covenant specifically with the nation of Israel
, not with other nations.

Exodus 34:27-28 explicitly identifies these words as the basis of the covenant with Israel.

Gentiles Outside the Law: Paul states in Ephesians 2:12 that Gentiles were "strangers from the covenants
of promise" and "without law" (Romans 2:14). Therefore, the legal obligations of the Old Covenant, including
the Sabbath, did not apply to the Gentiles.

Moral Law vs. Ceremonial Law: While many theologians argue that the moral principles within the Decalogue
(e.g., prohibition of murder) are universal and "written on the heart" (Romans 2:15), the legal obligation to the
Sinaitic covenant is distinct from this natural law, which existed before Moses.

New Covenant Standing: Gentile believers are not required to follow the Law of Moses to be saved, as confirmed
by the Jerusalem Council in Acts 15. Instead, they are under the "law of Christ," which focuses on love and grace,
not the legal requirements of the Old Testament law.

In summary, while moral principles are universal, Gentiles were not part of the specific Sinai covenant that made
the Decalogue a binding national law
.

I gave AI 100% on that answer.

You realize your wrong and you are guilty of preaching an alternate gospel.

Colossians 2:12-17
King James Version
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Yes our sins nailed to his cross . As we keep the Sabbath don’t judge us .thats what men did to Jesus , and Jesus said they did not keep the law let alone the Sabbath correctly .

Yes our sins nailed to his cross . As we keep the Sabbath don’t judge us .
I don't judge any who keeps the sabbath, but those who don't have been many times. If they do so unto the Lord, praise God. They are FREE to do so. If you use scripture to try and convince me I should do so, you've become an enemy of the Lord.

Romans 8
King James Version
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

God bless

If you choose not to honour the Lord you will answer to him . We establish the law including the Sabbath. Shall we sin that Grace may abound ? God forbid said Paul .

You have ZERO idea how I honor the Lord. Jesus saves my friend. This comment just put you on ignore.

I will pray 🙏 the lord gives you understanding , that you certainly do not have . Grace is your license to sin is obvious to me . Jude warned that this would happen and we see it plainly . Turning the grace of God into lasciviousness . Signs of the times .
Loving pleasure more than loving God ?

Galatians 4
21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.
28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

The command came to the Israelites in Ex 20, but that does not mean the sabbath was not always there for all people.
You are making presumptions when you claim that it was only for Jews.

9 Of the 10 commandments are kept by Gentiles today and people don't argue about not lying or steeling, but the sabbath is not accepted and people find every excuse to throw this one command out.

Why ? It is inconvenient and might mean sacrifice of people's time.

But if you love God nothing is to hard.
It is really a blessing
There are more than 10 commandments. Why focus on 10?

If the law is not understood neither will grace be understood, therefore abuse is the trend according to Jude , read the book of Jude ! Amen 🙏

No, a Gentile in the 1st Century must be circumcised and be living in Israel to join that first covenant.

That first covenant was between God and Israel and that first covenant did not include the Gentile nations.

A Gentile today cannot join the first commandment because that first covenant was obsolete, 2000 years ago.

No one can obey all the words, or part thereof, that God spoke in the first covenant.

It is impossible to obey a sabbath commandment today because that was a commandment in that
obsolete, first covenant.
Hello Inquistor, just a few things. Isaiah 56:3 was not written in the first century, it was written 500 years earlier, so the context is key here. The author would not have been referring to Gentiles living outside of Israel, since of he refers to them as foreigners. You are correct in saying, "That first covenant was between God and Israel and that first covenant did not include the Gentile nations.", however based on this Isaiah passage, it was inviting the Gentiles who were living in the land of Israel to join in the Shabbat (aka Sabbath). In fact, the entire force of the passage depends on the fact that these foreigners are not circumcised, not proselytes, and not becoming Jews.

Isaiah 56 is radical precisely because it welcomes uncircumcised Gentiles into covenantal worship without demanding conversion. How this applies today is that Gentiles, while not required to adhere to the Shabbat, can do so in principle. What this means is that non-Jews can observe the Sabbath on the seventh day, the first day, the fourth day, or any day of the week and blessings will follow.

I agree that self-rule is frightening and I also agree that God alone has the right to determine right from wrong. And given the state of man's heart and his propensity for doing wrong, I would never argue against the rule of law, which is Biblical. My argument is with the category error Sabbatarians make, treating the Mosaic covenant code as if it were identical to the universal moral law grounded in creation and conscience.

We must maintain the distinction between civil law (the legal codes of nations) and universal moral law (the enduring obligations grounded in God’s character and creation). Confusing the two is a category error that leads to moral and theological distortion.

The Fourth Commandment functions more like civil‑covenantal law than like a universal moral law. In the structure of the Sinai covenant, the Sabbath command operates as a national sign, a civic institution, and a constitutional marker for Israel—not as a universal moral norm binding all humanity.

On the other hand, the Tenth commandment is purely moral. The Tenth commandment can't be adjudicated in a civil court, which tells you immediately that it does not function like a civil law at all. In other words, we can see that not all commandments are the same kind of thing.

"In other words, we can see that not all commandments are the same kind of thing."

In The Torah are found the Commandments, the Statues and the Judgements,

The 10 Commandments all carry the death penalty; spiritual law
most of the Statues are physical and are punished physically.

The beating Christ took paid for our physical sin, "by His stripes we are healed"
His death paid for our spiritual sin

the 10 Commandments are divided into two parts,
how to love God -- 1 - 4
and how to love others -- 5 - 10

Christ came to raise, to expand the 10 Commandments from physical law to spiritual law. He fulfilled that expansion

Why were they written on two tables?? Torah 'Judgements' require two witnesses before the penalty of death can be enforced.

The 10 Commandments are so important -- Jesus Christ came down to earth and wrote them on two tables of stone.

even so --- from that day until now mankind has refused to obey --- which is the reason The Time of the End is just ahead.

I have wondered if the MANY, if they even believe there will be a Time of the END , think it will come because folks won't allow Jesus into their hearts? Sad!
