Genesis 2:2-3, Mark 2:27, Exodus 16:25 - 26, Exodus 20:11. It is the only day He made holy. Follow the order of the Scripture- Sabbath first… before Abraham…

The 4th commandment begins with “Remember..”
Right. Israel was to rest on the seventh day of the week just as God did. During that day, Israel was to remember that God rested. What does that mean? God didn't leave anything undone. Everything that needed to be created was done. Just as the people gathered extra manna in preparation for the day of rest, God has prepared everything in advance of the coming day of rest -- the millennial kingdom and the next age.

I am not under the law because the blood of Jesus paid the price of transgressing it. Sin = death and Jesus died for my sin. So I am free from the penalty of the law and free from the death that sin brings.

But only by faith in Jesus's grace am I free.
Only by the gift Jesus has given.

But knowing that my sins are forgiven and paid for does not give me the right to continue in sin. Should I sin when I have faith that I'm forgiven for transgressing the law

Rom 6:1-2
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

So will I be judged as one under the law? Will I die in my sins?
That's the point. Resting on a Sunday is not a sin. Not resting at all during the week is not a sin.

Retrospectively, God experiences time differently than we do, and God's work was not finished until Jesus said, "It is finished." For this reason, I think the fall occurred on the 6th day, the day He created them, especially considering the entire context of Genesis 2. God would not have clothed them with the skin if Jesus had not said, "It is finished." I listened to a sermon of a pastor I will not mention to spare him expressions of opinion on his character but, he observed a verse that clarified that the Father gives life but the Son gives eternal life. So, God declared creation as good after creating Adam, and very good after creating Eve, but it is not until after Jesus' work is finished can anything be created 'perfect.'...And as of now, I've resigned to answering any inquiries of, "How are you?" with, "Perfect!" 🤩

It is just the opposite… Jesus is telling us to obey them - by this it shows we love Him.

???????
Jesus says, "Obey MY commandments," while you refer to the commandments that His Father gave to Moses. Those Jesus fulfilled and rendered obsolete through His body (He crushed them, as they say in sports, or 'He smashed it!", that is, 'shattered the record!") after which His Father gave all authority to Him.

According to who??

I do not understand the logic or where it came from?

And I really do not understand how the facts surrounding the Sabbath can be ignored, pitched aside as nothing?

I do understand carnal human nature ---

I don’t think his no so. He he 10 were now to be written within us as opposed to on stone. Jesus is God.

Moses shattered the tablets written with God's own hand, rounded in His Justice, and God chesed and racham (mercy and compassion) allowed him to fashion another set, himself. Do you see the reflection of Jesus there? Similarly, Jesus smashed the commandments but introduce an entirely new set of commandments, grounded in His Love. You don't have to see it for it to be true.

then why are the Two Tables of Stone still in the Ark under the Mercy Seat in the HOLY of HOLIES?? if Jesus smashed them?
Why are they called "THE two tables of Testimony"?
Why, if Christ introduced entirely new commandments, did HE so often, state the 10 are to be obeyed, and listed some to prove of which 10 He was referring to?

And where are these new commandments listed in order, clearly listed and taught?

I understand Satan refuses to let his life be ruled by the HOLY, RIGHTEOUS and GOOD law of God the Father and Jesus Christ
and I understand Satan is the god (ruler) of this evil world and this world is following him -- more and more every day.
Lawlessness will grow until Jesus Christ returns as KING of Kings to rule with the Rod of IRON --
Why will the rod of iron be necessary when Christ is on earth and the rule of man by man is over?

Answer: Humans will still be "infected" with carnal human nature and will be until they repent and are given the power by the Holy Spirit to obey. and that will take some time and punishment will be needed.

19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

will this convince any to obey?? Nope! it will require the ROD of IRON

The two tables are a Testimony "against" them. Why do you leave that out?

You are looking past the mercy seat to what is 'under the mercy seat.' If you did that, literally and not only figuratively, you'd be dead on the spot.

They are written on the heart, not for any sort of display purposes.

I have a tabernacle from God 2Cor 5:1. You should "come up."

The two tables are a Testimony "against" them. Why do you leave that out?
No, the two are witnesses against Mankind, all

their testimony gives Jesus Christ the legal right to put to death 2 billion even before the Tribulation begins and another 5 billion over the next 3 1/2 years.

I understand the resistance man has for obeying, I have seen it all my life. Christ WILL bring the entire world under His ruler-ship and they will obey.

Understand, what the New Covenant does, by the Circumcision without hands, cut away our carnal human nature and in its place builds the Divine Holy Righteous Nature of God.
That Holy Divine Nature is reveled to man by the Torah which is what is being installed in us to become our nature .
The Torah is the Nature of GOD.

written on our hearts --- written, installed, implanted, whatever as our nature.

I don’t believe any were prophets like those in the OT
Yes ! I agree with your assessment of Ellen White's writings, not being of the same category as the Biblical Prophets. I'm just saying that she presents the same message as Noah, Elijah & John the Baptist. The same message given by the Holy Spirit, throughout the Bible, the same message given by Jesus and His Disciples. A message of hope and promise, that IF we listen to God, by His Word, His Holy Spirit, doing the Father's Will, we will be taught how to overcome and to repent, our earthly desires (selfishness & lusts = sin ) and take on the Character of Christ, His Righteousness, ( His "Right-doing" = sinlessness ) to become AGAIN, ( as it was in Eden ) a child of God, fit for heaven and eternity. ... PTL !

Regarding your claim that the papacy is the anti-Christ. Technically, that is not true since there is absolutely NO individual figure in the NT that is identified as the “anti-Christ.” There is the mention of this term in only 4 places and they ALL speak to the “spirit” of the anti-Christ. However, you are correct in that the papacy is indeed the “little horn” of Daniel 7, 8, 11, etc. as well as the “lawless one, the evil one, the sea beast, etc., in Revelation.”
God does not leave us in darkness, as to who this earthly power, this beast, a kingdom, having the spirit of Satan, Anti-Christ will be, by pointing it out in the many biblical descriptions and prophecies. God is warning this, specifically !! It is the spirit that we are war against, for our souls, in this physical / spiritual world, daily, ... moment to moment. Praise God !!
  • Daniel 12:7: "...it shall be for a time, times, and a half..."(1260 years, AD 538-1798)
  • Revelation 12:14: "...she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time..." (1260 years, AD 538-1798)
The Papacy itself has been instrumental in corrupting the understandings of time prophecies, these last 500+ years, since ALL the Protestant Reformers, pointed out the Papacy as "The Anti-Christ " At the Council of Trent, held between 1545 and 1563, they initiated the "public relations" tactic of "damage control", calling it the "Counter Reformation" developing The Futurist view of scripture, which has become Dispensationalism, which I understand many here in this forum believe, much to their spiritual detriment.

So ... it has come till NOW, that the whole world, HERE & NOW is again, "wondering after the Beast", Rev, 13:3, as evident by Pres. Biden & Trump, paying homage to the Popes, and fixing to initiate ( mandate / making law ) Sunday worship, The MOTB.

Four KJV Passages on "Spirit of Antichrist"

The King James Version mentions the spirit of antichrist in these four passages:

1. 1 John 2:18
"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time."

2. 1 John 2:22
"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son."

3. 1 John 4:3
"And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

4. 2 John 1:7
"For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist."

Connecting the Anti-Christ Spirit to the Papacy

According to Ellen White's writings, particularly in The Great Controversy, the "spirit of antichrist" finds its fullest institutional embodiment in the Papacy. Here's how she connects the dots:

Key Characteristics from 1 John Applied to the Papacy

1. Denying the Father and the Son (1 John 2:22) White argued that the Papacy obscures Christ's unique mediatorial role by:
  • Elevating Mary and saints as mediators alongside Christ
  • Teaching doctrines that diminish Christ's sole priesthood
  • Creating a system where the Pope claims authority that belongs to Christ alone
As White wrote: "The main characteristic of the antichrist is the subtle denial that Jesus Christ is the begotten Son of the living God" (from Adventist prophetic interpretation sources).

2. Not Confessing Christ Come in the Flesh (1 John 4:3, 2 John 1:7) Adventist pioneers taught that the Papacy's doctrines regarding:
  • Transubstantiation (changing the nature of Christ's presence)
  • The mass as a re-sacrifice of Christ
  • Various Marian doctrines ...all work to obscure the true incarnation and Christ's finished work.

Connection to Daniel's Prophecies

Daniel 7: The Little Horn Ellen White wrote in The Great Controversy:

"The little horn of Daniel 7, unquestionably points to the papacy."
The characteristics match:
  • Speaks "great words against the most High" (Dan 7:8, 25)
  • Wears out the saints (persecution of true believers)
  • Attempts to change "times and laws" (the Sabbath commandment)
  • Reigns for "time, times, and dividing of time" (1260 years, AD 538-1798)
Daniel 8 & 11 The same power is seen in:

  • Daniel 8: The little horn that magnifies itself against the Prince of princes
  • Daniel 11: The king who exalts himself above all gods

Connection to Revelation

The Sea Beast (Revelation 13) White identified this as the Papacy because:
  • Receives power from the dragon (Satan)
  • Has a fatal wound healed (1798 papal capture, then recovery)
  • Receives worship from all nations
  • Makes war with the saints
  • Blasphemous names
The "Man of Sin" (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4) Though not one of the four "spirit of antichrist" passages, Adventists connect this to the same power:
  • Exalts himself above all that is called God
  • Sits in the temple of God (claims divine authority)
  • Works lying wonders

The Personification Argument

According to this interpretation, the Papacy becomes the personification of the antichrist spirit because:
  1. Institutional embodiment: While "many antichrists" exist (1 John 2:18), one power embodies the spirit most completely
  2. Historical continuity: The 1260-year period shows sustained opposition to Christ's kingdom
  3. Doctrinal opposition: Core teachings contradict the gospel of grace
  4. Persecution: Historical persecution of those who maintain biblical truth
  5. Claiming Christ's prerogatives: The Pope's titles ("Vicar of Christ," "Holy Father") claim what belongs to Christ alone

Important Context

This interpretation comes from:
  • Historicist prophetic interpretation (shared by early Reformers like Luther, Calvin, Knox)
  • Seventh-day Adventist theology (developed in the 19th century)
  • Ellen White's writings (particularly The Great Controversy, 1888)
Note: This is one theological perspective. Many Christian traditions interpret these passages differently, viewing antichrist as:
  • A future individual (futurist view) = Dispensationalism
  • Any opponent of Christ (general spiritual sense)
  • Multiple powers throughout history

Many Christians are taught that the 10 commandments are binding on all human beings because they are moral universals. But that isn't true. Resting on a particular day of the week is not a moral universal. It is a condition of the Mount Sinai Covenant and unique to the nation of Israel.

33 But this [shall be] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

"my law" #8451 Torah: law, instruction, laws

From the O T show us "the other set" or even the N T

I know you can "wording" this to death as always

Humans are now masters at "wording"

I think it is now possible for some, like politicians, attorneys and big business to use "wording" to make a virtue out of taking a baby out of a womb and selling the parts --- OH wait a minute -- they are already doing that one and it is a virtue to them. and very profitable.

You are not impressing me, do you think our Father is impressed?

and no I am not putting you in with the politicians, they are in a class all by themselves and our Father has a special event prepared for them.

14 Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day. See Matthew 24: 36

15 The ancient and honourable, he [is] the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he [is] the tail.

16 For the leaders of this people cause [them] to err; and [they that are] led of them [are] destroyed.

17 Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one [is] an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand
[is] stretched out still.
