I have been sold out for Jesus now since May, 2011 and I've been very careful on what women I talk to in a flirting manner, actually I really don't even know how to talk to a woman now in a flirting manner now that I know the Word of God. Before my Repentance oh boy yeah I knew how to convince a woman that I was her soul mate, but now that I know the truth, whoa its all new, totally diferent. When I approach a woman now, I know that who Im talking to is very dear to heart of Jesus, so I usually end up ministering to them rather than trying to pick them up. That very boastful, very male part of me is still there but God has given me tests by fire that have beaten back that arrowgance and pride, but now I am very much alone. I continually strive for what is holy and acceptable to almighty God and picking up on women is nowhere in that. seeking advice please feel free to comment.

Stop thinking about women as potential soul mates/partners/girlfriends, whatever. Just talk to them like their a friend, and be their friend. You mentioned you ministered to women but never once did you even allude to the fact that you wanted to get to know them, or just (again) be a friend.

I realize being alone sucks, the first thing I wanted after my now ex and I split up was a girlfriend. But it's just not going to happen that way. That last thing you want is a failed relationship and a broken heart, allow God to use the time to build you, and strengthen you, in the mean time, don't look at girls as potential whatever's. Just get to know them like you would if you were making friends with someone, and be just that, a friend. Girls have enough issues with desperate men trying to hook up with them, and not being treated like an equal.

Personally I think God made men and women for each other, even outside of the marriage context. I think singles could and should be friends with people of the opposite gender, just because it's nice to be their for each other, and have that kind of support and perspective from someone who looks at things differently. And who knows, maybe when you're not worried about finding one anymore, one of your friends will start to look like more than a friend...as long as she's not married or engaged.
