Sound Doctrine is not popular today

How some define sound doctrine is none too sound.

Hairy ticks abound where folks do not read their bible and pray to God for knowledge and wisdom.

God speaks in the still soft voice not in the whirlwind.

(False again, as I have friendly and respectful conversations with a number of people on here, sometimes we agree sometimes we don't. Also I am not angry !!!)

Whenever you teach a doctrine that says nothing is "required" of believers you are teaching another gospel, you are not teaching the doctrine of Christ !!!

I have every right to expose false teachings and the works of the flesh that the Word of God says believers in Him should not be walking in committing !!!

You don't like to be rebuked or reproved and shown the Truth in the Word, well then all I can say is go and pray to God to remove that spirit of the world from your heart and soften your heart to accept His chastisement for correction !!!

I am out of love trying to show you points that you still need working on, and by the Holy Spirit He will help you overcome those things.

When you come into a thread and immediately insult people instead of speak on the OP all you are doing is seeking to cause strife. Apostle Paul warns about this in 2 Timothy 2:23 !!!

This is why I have you on ignore, but had to respond to this one, because you show here that you do not read what another has said and thus misrepresented what another poster said.

I nowhere said that eternal security originated with Calvin !!!

Please get rid of your bias blinders and take your time and read what another said before posting !!!


I said the eternal security doctrines that Augustine (4th Century) and Calvin (1500's) is not the same eternal security that is taught in the Word of God !!!

The eternal security spoken of in the Word of God shows that it only exists to those who continue to abide in the faith of Jesus. Outside of the faith there is no security !!!

But Augustine and Calvin say that the eternal security still exists to those who are outside of the faith that have fallen away, which is not what the Word says !!!

They both also claim falling away/departing from the faith is impossible, the Word of God disagrees with that teaching, and Augustine even goes further and says apostasy is impossible. Again not what the Word says !!!

This thread is about "Sound Doctrine" therefore these two do matter in the discussion because there are many following the false doctrines of these two men and think they are following truth !!!

I don't focus to much on men, I am trying to bring those out of those doctrines because they are the one's that are putting man before the Holy Spirit and Word of God !!!

Still your eternal swecurity doctrine sounds like Augustine, Your just like him. (and no Calvin did not get his eternal security from Augustine)

There is no SECURITY in life, if it is based on how well we do things, that is what Augustine believed.. and the Catholics, and all other legalists. That's why they reject eternal security.. Because their security is based on self. NOT GOD..

There is no security in self. only in God. why do you think people call you a false teacher, Because you preach self.

I see the normal suspects have arrived.

It is possible to hold a position and just say this is my position.
It is obvious a lot of churches now because their congregations are being swayed by all the propoganda everywhere are giving in and going with the flow.

We had a sermon about witnessing on sunday, and they failed to mention repentance, sin, forgiveness, just sharing what your experience in Jesus is. It is easy to end in compromising based on keeping people in the congregation in support of what you offer or appear to offer.

We are not going to resolve such discussions, but the tactics remain the same.

Yes Calvin did adopt the once saved always saved from Augustine's apostate eternal security doctrine !!!

Calvin was RCC before he left as one of the leaders who started the Protestant reformation movement, they left the RCC but still kept many of their teachings but let go of others !!!

I nowhere preach self as I always state whatever I do it is all because of God, Apostle Paul did the exact same thing !!!

This does make me laugh. If you have a conversation you have to understand the others person points, not just preach your own as if they do not know what you are saying. You actually have to prove to them you know where they are, or else it is just a slanging match. I suspect that is all you are actually capable of.

lol.. RCC does not believe in eternal security.. You need to study, they never have,, they are pagan, and held to b=pegam beliefs that salvation was not final till death..

Arminian, I meant arminian.. He holds to salvation is dependent on you and what you do.. Just like the catholics did Only he lessened the amount of works one must do.

I made one mistake, because my mind is on my uncle who most likely will go home to be with the lord today, and my father who had to make the decision to take him off life support..

What I said about ken was true, I made the mistake of seeing calvin and thought he was on one of his MANY MANY RANTS against calvin..

And I admitted that mistake..

Sound doctrine gets little attention now days as people would rather be entertained and hear how good they are. The truth is that in todays world all things are as they should be and the truth will go out and not return void. Isaiah 55:11 The rest is useless and leads men astray from worshiping Jesus Christ and puts the focus on men and what they do.

Worship and Give thanks to what our Great God has done, will do and is doing, past present and future. Revelation 1:8
He will save his people without fail.

People in church are replacing the word of God with programs, music, entertainment, jokes, etc., to make people come into the church and as a result, they are not telling people enough about the truth and they aren't telling people the truth. They want to reinvent Church and they view Church as an etch-a-sketch where they can erase the foundation that God built and start over.

They've decided to do it their way instead of God's way and there will be spiritual consequences for that because people won't get saved but they will think they are saved and we're going to have more problems. There are also suicides in church where people can't find answers because the church won't give them to people and the leaders don't feel responsible for the sheep.

One of the dangers I see today is the pooh-poohing of doctrine period...to me that is very unsound.
I can appreciate the endeavor at correct doctrine (even if it is not as correct as 'mine' ) but it is the sloughing off of doctrine that gives me the creeps.

Nothing is required of a non believer. they can;t do anything anyway.

A believer will do much..

But to say much is required or else you will lose your salvation. Well that is teaching works. And you claim you do not teach thatm So I will assume you do not believe this is requred to stay saved..

I am sorry to hear about your uncle. It is always hard to make such decisions, especially about people you love.
My condolences to you in this time of sadness.

In these experiences sometimes families can find reassurance and a common love they share. I hope you will find this among your family.

Yeah we just talked about this this weekend !!!

How many realize that the actual commandment to the Church was to "go out into the world" not draw others into your churches by making a show out of the service ???

What you have said about me has been tons of lies, and those lies have been driven by your difference of doctrine because you don't believe one can forfeit their salvation by walking away from the faith.

The bible would not have mentioned falling away and departing from the faith from every single NT writer if it was not possible. Even Jesus said it will happen in Matthew 24:10-13 !!!

I know you personally don't want to believe those passages but that is in no way need you to bear false witness on me and back-bite me behind my back.

Paul puts back-biting in the list of those who will not inherit eternal life !!!

Calvin needs to be exposed before more keep following his dangerous doctrine.............

If you believe people are bound to sin, and salvation is not a choice, you are merely chosen, you just follow, then ofcourse your ideas flow.

If you believe in love and Christ we are given the freedom to choose Him, and walk in righteousness, then it matters how you define this freedom and righteousness. To us therefore it also matters if you dismiss morality as legalism and call it evil.

It gets worse if you call those who take Jesus are his word lost, you make yourself enemies of the very gospel you claim to follow. So it gets confusing, especially if many in your camp deny sorting out sin, emotional reality and love in their own hearts and claim this is not the realm of the Holy Spirit or following Christ. So ofcourse we react against such ideas, it speaks against our experience and our understanding of walking with Jesus.

We have nothing against anyone personally, it is just our faith.

So the warnings and descriptions our Lord Jesus and His Apostles gave written in God's Word for the end is useless? Surely you don't mean that. If you do, then it shows you have a problem with not being able to understand those things written.
