How much do you think that Jesus planted in His mind studying The Word for 30 years? We see the Tree and fruit that came out of Him. If He had planted any worldly seed or kept any that the enemy tried to plant, He might have failed at some point. And if it took a while for Him to plant and wait, how much more should we? And we came from the world so He has weeds to choke in our gardens and some tilling of our soil to do!
We also see when God is working in the obedient, He cannot fail. His power (knowledge, wisdom) circumcises the flesh, world, and enemy away so we may walk in the Spirit and reap from His good seeds sown. He gives saints the power (eyes to see and ears to hear) in order to trample on snake bites in the mind and from the poison it brings. HE shows us voices and actions that are not of Him and calls us to cast them out or walk away from them. He calls His hearing people to stay planted (baptized spiritually) in His Word and Spirit. As it says in Galatians 8:
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
And this is key: IF we sow in the physical realm, do we see a sprout of green in a day?
Will you reap peace in a day just after you have sown it? Will you see change in one day? Well, yes, anything is possible with God. And God may give a boost of faith in a day and has, but in real time, and most of the time, we NEED to learn patience with God, ourselves and others. Patience is a great virtue that when mastered, we lack NOTHING in our walk of trust. James 1
We NEED to lean on His Word and His inward work to see results of Christ in us and others. Even though a mustard seed has power to be a tree, overtake a field, and bare fruit, it takes time for seed to be broken open, watered, shined upon and then grow. So it is even more in the Spirit realm.
