well then, get started & england's citizens will allow a cohesive union of a country's family. the disparity is massively vast to what the royals have, own & manage compared to what the common citizens have.

well yea but I don't live there so can't tell them what to do. I am sure they've had revolution before but it didn't last too long (Oliver Cromwell years) . The aristocratic landowners/landlords support the monarchy and there are a lot of them there. They also have their own house in parliament...

I'm not on expert on how things work in England, and don't pretend to be.

my statement to you was actually speaking of england. i remember decades ago, most rock bands left england as their main residence to pay less taxes.

oh ok I don't know much about that.
I thought they just wanted to be more famous and sell more records internationally.

no. england is world wide known for being worse than the u.s. as far as tax robbery.
Didn't they try and steal/spill all the tea in Boston or something? Then tax the US for buying it off them, but they got it from India first, after enslaving/annexing them.

Also, I did hear they kind of 'borrowed' the Kohinoor Diamond, which was the Crown Jewel of India, and never returned it.

They sold drugs/opium to the Chinese (we get Hong Kong!)
They also traded alcohol and muskets to the Maori (We got New Zealand!)
They starved the Irish (we got Northern Ireland!)

And they made Australia a POW camp sending convicts there to build themselves prisons and got the Aborigines drunk.

Yea good history, Brits. 👏👏👏

the boston teat party was a protest of a political natur4e having to do with british taxation & control. there was an act passed allowing tea tomb sold "duty" free, tax free in other words. it was a novice type movie, a move beginners make in business called undercutting. a large group of men stormed a bunch of shops & smashed & spilled many chests of tea. to the remainder of your posting, i know little about.

Maybe you need a bigger keyboard? Can you enlarge it? Or get one of those plug in ones with oversize keys. If they have them, IDK. I used to type on the ipad, but now CC says its too old to be viewed on the ipad, so I'm using the macbook instead.

Did you see the Royal tea towels in post #574?

I see no other nation as obsessed with tea as the English are. Which they got from the China. They then tried to rule India and got them to plant tea plantations just so they could have their cuppa.

Some history

Royal Introduction (1660s)
  • Catherine of Braganza: The Portuguese princess and wife of King Charles II popularized tea at the English royal court after bringing it in her dowry in 1662. [1, 2]
  • Status Symbol: Aristocratic women quickly adopted the habit, pairing expensive imported tea with Chinese porcelain sets as a marker of elite fashion. [1, 2]

Speaking of fashion...

Am reading an autobiography by Catherine Walker, courturier (sp) to Diana, when she was Princess of Wales. She wrote about her line and elongating the midriff/torso in the dresses she made which looked great on Diana, her being so naturally tall.
The sad thing was Diana had an eating disorder ...and it came about because her husband made that remark about her being chubby.

Diana took that very much to heart and lost a lot of weight after he said that. Maybe someone else would have just shrugged that off but she didn't. She cared very much of his opinion because she loved him and wanted his approval.

Meghan doesn't seem to have any issues with weight her being an actress and all and probably used to fitting into dresses and the spotlight, although even she seems to have shrank a bit.

Its Catherine/Kate who's fading away the most. Diana once said of her eating disorder that it was a way of making herself invisible, but the opposite happened, she became even more visible than ever being so thin!

Men never seem to have this problem, they can be portly, even jowly and its fine as nobody cares what they look like. They probably would rather be body builders than body shrinkers. So much double standards.

Probably not news to anybody, but, when you grow up with seeing the royals all the time in the media, you wonder why it's only the females who get flak over what they look like, never the men.
