i have a sister who got her CPA in NYS (i think not as easy as other states??)

Lol, my father is from NYS. He is a CPA.... When I was little, he taught e how to do a tax return....I had to teach my high-school economics teacher because he tried teaching us but forgot how....
that's what my SIL says, at the ripe old age of 31.
Well actuality, I used to be with it until they changed what 'it' was.

in contrast to that, i miss my daughter managing a bank.
she balanced all my checking account statements.

You mean BELOW the 49th parallel, right? And southern Ontario and Victoria BC some of the Maritime provinces have also disappeared in that mist below our "glorious and free" land!
That's because a lot of Canada is below the 49th parallel, contrary to popular opinion. The part that is above 49 is pretty barren and sparse!

I had a friend from high-school who went on to the same college as me. I still don't know how, but he convinced one professor I was a genius with a photographic memory after the first class.... he was so proud of himself when I ended up having to do twice the work of everyone else....he was always playing pranks on me....I think that was his worst...
