No, not kill us, just make us sick. There's no money in dead customers. Money is in treatment not cures or preventive measures.
Consider the rise in diabetes and the cost of insulin over past decades due to overweight customers. just one example.

We live in a broken world and will all get sick from time to time. Unless there's something above and beyond the normal sickness and
"cruddy stuff" that goes around seasonaly, there's nothing to fret about.

And it's still true, that all things, even these things, work together for good for those who love God, and are the called according to His purpose.
