Special names of some sections, passages, or verses in the Bible

Hi everyone!

There are some sections, passages, or verses in the Bible that gained a special name during centuries past. E.g. Genesis 1-11 (Urgeschichte), Psalm 130 (De profundis), Matthew 28:16-20 (the Great Commission), Luke 2:13-14 (Gloria in excelsis), Luke 9:51–18:14 (the Great Omission), etc.

I have searched for a list of all of these names a bit, but I haven't found anything.

Could you direct me to some list if there is any? And if there is no such list, why not make one? We could each place here a couple of suggestions and I would gladly give it a final shape from which others could benefit.

Hello @Amalasuntha, I agree that such a list probably exists (and I'll join you in searching for it), but for the time being, here is a another verse with a special name for your collection.

Oh, and here are a couple more, we call the 10 Commandments ,"The Decalogue", and the entirety of the Old Testament is referred to as, "The Law and the Prophets".

Finally, the first five Books of the OT are called, "The Torah" (and I believe, the "Law of Moses", as well).
