Spirit Awaken My Sleeping Heart


When I speak to you Father, I often drift away,

How can I not perceive the one that gives me today?



Wooden songs and wooden prayers, from a wooden heart and head I offer

How can you stand it precious One? These will not well proffer!



It’s me that forgets the vision of you that is lost in the daily race

That’s why Lord I can not always feel your embrace.



Through Your tenderness, kindness and mercy, I know you want my heart and mind

To just join with you and through angelic songs and praise to love to you I ask please unbind



Remind me lord how insensitive I am to you when I am tepid or cold

And I can’t perceive how imperfect I am, let your grace be bold



Spirit again make loud the clear voice of my heart speak, set it free

And awaken my sleeping heart to worship and worship and worship always thee!

My friend we all do this even the best of us some don't want to wake up but your sincere desire to be close to him always is the song that turns into an angelic choir your song is then the song of heaven.
