Any Psalm or Proverb based in observance of the Mosaic ceremonial law.
I don't understand why my responses on the Mosaic law are generating questions about Proverbs and Psalms.
All Scripture is to be understood in the light of what is spoken by the Son in these last days (Heb 1:1-2) through the NT writers.
The Ark of the Testimony contained the testimony of the Sinaitic (Old) Covenant conditions; i.e.,
1) two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments, testimony to the conditions of the covenant and also
testimony to their sin in breaking those conditions (Ten Commandments);
2) jar of manna - testimony to their sin of grumbling (Ex 16:2-4, 33); and
3) Aaron's staff - testimony to the sin of Korah' rebellion against the priesthood (Nu 16:1-3).
Its purpose was God's dwelling place, the locus of his presence among his people.
It was a foreshadow of Emmanuel Jesus, "God with us."
The OT Ark of the Covenant no longer exists, as the Temple no longer exists.
Our Ark is now Jesus, our Emmanuel.
And our Temple is now made of living stones, the church of believing Jews and Gentiles.
Does this mean that the tables of stone are written on our hearts by the Holy Spirit ?
