I have done both, and like things about both.

I loved the social part about working in a store: the coworkers, customers, and friends I knew that would come in. Although many times I would get peopled-out by the end of the day.

But I also love domestic work, and am fine if I don't go to town for several weeks or a month. Cooking, sewing, cleaning, milking our cow, etc. are things I do on a pretty regular basis along with the work I do on the commercial broiler farm we currently live on.

But I'm thinking about moving in with my brother and maybe getting a job a bulk food store/deli, and maybe work construction with my bro sometimes.

It really depends...in the end I say I have no preference as there are pros/cons but it really depends on the group of people and also convenience (commute time, if workdays are stressful or more relaxed, etc.).

If you work 5/days a week outside, your coworkers really matter and quality of workplace relations/friendships. I worked in the office 5/days per week for many years until may 4 years ago.

Hybrids are nice, because you can use the work from home days to multitask by doing chores or cook that you would otherwise have to push into the weeknights/weekends.

Remote is nice if you are able to work in a different closer and be closer to family, closer friends, if if you have kids it allows for more flexibility, etc. I am currently working remote hours away from my work city. My work does not really have an ideal ideal environment where most/everyone are friends, are chatty, bond, etc. My particular office is known for having some antisocial people...many definitely didn't want to come back after the pandemic even living in the same city. So, I don't feel like I am missing out on much by being remote. But, I do know I am missing out on a bit. If I didn't know any close people in a city, I would definitely want to go into work at least 3 or 4 days/week.

Im undecided

Unfortunately at my home there are no cows to milk you have go to the dairy and buy your own milk. I dont really drink it, its my baby boomer dad who drinks it and he has never been weaned off it.

I like cooking but its the cleaning up part I am not so great at. Unfortunately you need to do both at home. Its great having time to eat though. At work, most people never actually got time to eat.

Now that I am temporarily staying at home....it gets boring to stay at home all the time...good thing I have several nieces and nephews at my parents house 🏡 they are a blessing. And yesterday I started helping my sister in her small restaurant by serving cleaning the dishes just to pass time 😁

I'll be looking for work soon just trying to figure out what I am gonna do with my life after my big decision 4 mos ago.... I am crawling back again lol but no I won't let things discouraged me to start back again(though I am a lil anxious sometimes) 😞


But to answer your question... I'd rather work than stay at home...(now that I am single) but if ever I'll get married someday let's see what my husband will say...if he will let me work I will, if not I'll follow him.


If you worked decades and decades already...and suddenly you stopped working...adjusting is quite hard...that's what happens to me...☺️

I dont think wives actually stay at home on account of their husbands they mostly stay at home cos of their children. Or pets. Honestly marriage does not appeal to me and is not even a consideration. Who really wants to be under someones thumb all the time and has to ask permission over every little thing?

I like gardening though and would rather do my own garden than someone elses. Though at the moment everything is full, its coming into winter and I cannot garden anymore. However there is something to be said for hibernation.

I might have something like a gazebo if this new job pans out
or a she shed!

The other thing would be a mobile book bus or something. That would be cool.

One thing I always consider in a new workplace is the lunch options. lol

in the past year, i'v been wanting to stay home because i've worked at landscaping for 48 years!!! my guess is i'll be retired in about a month. but i suffer from being a "busyaholic"!!! (not really suffering). i've been out of my parents home for 44 years & i've had only 2 tv's!! sometimes 3 weeks will go by & the tv is never on!

Im finding working from home a bit boring. It doesnt pay anything and theres nobody to talk to. Also my home isnt going to be featured in Better Homes and Gardens anytime soon so I dont really need to have it looking nice ...I just have to make sure it doesnt fall apart and collapse is all

You can throw a house party and invite people over but you cant do that everyday.

or preschool. Then you'll have plenty to do.

Definitely going to work. Working from home is too confining, not enough social interactions, fresh air, sunshine, etc.

I guess that partly depends on who and what you got going on at home. If youre single... go to work. = )

Dorothy Gale once said there is no place like home, but if I recall in the movie she hated being at home it was boring and there was nothing there for her to do.

However she might have not relished the workplaces these days that seem to be full of petty office politics.
