If you’re new in Christ, praise God! You’ve begun the greatest journey of your life. As you grow, remember this vital truth: not everyone who teaches about God speaks for Him. Scripture itself warns,

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1 KJV)
That’s why you must measure everything you hear, read, or watch against the Word of God. Pastors, authors, YouTubers, and even well-meaning friends can be mistaken—but the Bible is never wrong.

The Bereans were praised because they “searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so” (Acts 17:11). Do the same:

  • Read the Bible for yourself.
  • Test every doctrine by Scripture in context.
  • Hold fast to what aligns with Christ’s gospel of grace (Galatians 1:8–9).
  • Stay humble and teachable, but anchored in truth.

Jesus said His sheep hear His voice (John 10:27). You’ll recognize it when you stay close to His Word.

Root yourself in Scripture, and you’ll never be shaken by false teachers or shifting trends.

Grace and peace in Christ.
