When I start to feel a little distant from God,, I will pray for a hunger and a thirst for the word.

You shouldn't be hungry or thirsty if you received the holy spirit Skeley.

The above quotes are speaking directly in figurative language from Genesis and Revelation in regards to the tree of life and the water of life.

(Mat 5:6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.)

Once you have received Christ's righteous you have been satisfied.

Daily bread.

The woman at the well was asked to get Jesus a drink.

The last supper had eating and drinking.

I cannot take a definitive explanation for this topic yet....Not revealed to me, at least not yet.

Truths that so many believers, sadly, do not believe.

It brings to mind this quote from Major Ian Thomas, in his introduction to 'Classic Christianity' by Bob George:

How does a Christian receive this spiritual hunger and spiritual thirst that satisfies all spiritual desire?

Why? your response seems to imply that Posthuman hasn't received the Holy Spirit-which could be construed as both condescending and insulting. the only people I know with that kind of arrogance are usually of the more excitable variety.

Funny? God has a sense of humor-maybe you should grow one.

Actually, 7, I'm not anti the gifts. I don't believe that tongues is evidence of 'the baptism of the Holy Spirit,' so maybe that's what you mean? I do have a habit of mocking sanctimony whenever it seems to appear. I call it 'poking the bear.'
