Broken, bruised beneth the stones,
I traveled through my pain alone,
When then I managed to crawl out,
And turned my head to look about.
The sky was grey and wet with tears,
My body taxed by many years.
The bitterness I kept inside,
My hurt, my shame, my tears to hide.
I pushed myself to act reborn,
A happy girl, they could have sworn,
But deep behind my outward grin,
A fire burned me hot within.
Inside there raged a secret deep,
I buried in my soul to keep.
I hoped that time would cure all pain,
And wondered what I'd have to gain,
If others knew what I had felt,
If others knew what I was delt.
And on these stones of brokeness,
I sat and lived a broken mess.
Then one day Jesus said "Arise!"
"It's time to leave this life of lies!"
"But Lord," I said, "How can I go?
These stones of hurt are all I know!"
"The pain," he said, "is hard to bear,
but if in pain you choose to share,
what I have done to rescue you,
so then will life be born anew."
And so he took the stones from me,
A burden gone, a girl set free.
Today I walk apon a path,
So free from darkness, hurt and wrath.
And if I pass a blackened stone,
I know that I won't walk alone.

So very nicely written. Also very touching message in it. ((Hugs))
