You know, I wouldn't doubt it. Rebecca came from a family of liars and cheats. It could very well be she taught those traits to Jacob as he grew into a man and then he used it to trick his brother.

Laban and his family might be the reason Yahweh told Abraham to leave his country and the family in his father's house.
