It's really frustrating that some people associate me with my biological father, and then give me either a "poor you" look, or else are so shocked that I am not like him.

One of my in-laws is a law enforcement officer, and therefore knows pretty much every detail about every single time my dad has been to jail. I feel like this person likes to keep an eye on me, as though I might up and start dealing drugs or...I don't even know. I don't know what they're waiting for, but I know that should I ever mess up in any way, this person will feel some kind of satisfaction for having been right about me.

There are days when I would give anything to be somebody else's daughter.

Everyday, everyday I wish I was not my father's daughter. Especially since Wednesday.

I only "like" that ^^^ because I understand (at least to some extent), not because I like that you feel that way.

...sometimes I clarify stuff that doesn't need clarification, because I'm a rock star.

Misscris and Laimson - very sorry for my miscommunication. I looked up the term and am embarassed and sorry I said what I did. Have a good day. -Ken.

No need to be embarrassed. I say stuff all the time that I look back at and I'm like...Whoa, WHO WAS THAT??

...what I'm saying is, everyone embarrasses themselves from time to time...

I'm not helping. I'll shush now.

:D

I hit a really dry spot musically for the past few months. But I'm starting to get out of that, finally. I've been in this spot for a while....about 3 or 4 months now. I think it might be a slow process. But I guess lately I've felt my musical gifts aren't needed, even though I've been playing for a small youth group about every Sunday for 10-11 months now. But at times I've felt...I dunno. Like they don't appreciate what I do or see my full potential. Well, the pastor does. And I know it's probably not true that they don't appreciate what I do.

I really hate rumors. I don't mind so much when they're about me. I mind when they're about people I care about. I know it's a good idea to go straight to the source, and ask if it's true, or at least let them know that you're hearing things. But making them feel like you doubt them is a horrible feeling. Made one of my best friend's day terrible... Luckily I was able to talk him out of being upset.

Back in my groove. :) Today I want to post a YouTube video of me doing a guitar cover of this song (It's such a fun song, I love it.):

So... I'm the sort who has no problems sacrificing social interaction if I can achieve some goal in a way that doesn't involve it.

At my college there is a group of fellow Doctor Who fans. We tend to meet in the basement to watch it on TV. However it just occurred to me: I could just as easily (heck, easier) watch it on the Internet. No difficulties hearing it over talkative people, clearer visual, and I can rewind parts I find especially funny or moving.

This thread is devoted to those random thoughts that have been mulling over in your mind as you go through your day. Maybe be deep thoughts, profound thoughts, funny thoughts, etc. any thoughts that you'd like to share with the rest of your fellow human beings that going through this crazy thing called life.
Deep, profound thoughts? Here's one: I wonder if I've seen tonight's episode of Dragnet before.

I wanted to record a guitar cover tonight...but it's getting late and my finger's hurt too much right now. =\

I can't and don't write songs at this moment. But I'm going to try again today. I know I can do it, I just gotta push myself. I always feel like I gotta challenge myself. Not a bad thing I don't think.

Been MIA from CC for the past few days because life has been crazy busy, but significant spiritual and emotional things happened this weekend for me. It's wonderful and great and scary and awesome.

Writing a song isn't hard, but writing a GOOD song might be. If you play piano or guitar, it's sort of easy to sit down and experiment with some chord progressions, and then you look for a tune and some words. Next thing, you have a song. You'll probably want a chorus, for some variety, and at least three verses. Get the words and chords down on paper. It helps to record it so you don't forget how it goes the next day.

I'm gonna be a busy woman tomorrow. Gonna wake up at 6:30 to make muffins for a baby shower, after that turn in my resume to the local animal shelter since they're hiring part-time, and then record that stinkin' video!! I haven't had time to do it and every time I do I mess it up.

I need to stay awake. I need to stay awake. I need to stay awake. I know, I understand, but what you don't see is my compulsion to stay on duty despite what you all are saying. I know I can sleep too, I know there are extra beds and blankets, to rest and stay warm... But it's all in the matter of personal sacrifice and slight egotism. Okay, that wouldn't make sense to you, but it's my duty to keep an eye on you all. You care enough for me to suggest that I rest. Thank you, but it's alright.

You're here for healing. You're here because you understand that you need to be. I'm praying and hoping you for. What you see on the outside, doesn't reflect what I believe and what's working on the inside.

Keep up the fight.

Been up since 6:30 making muffins. Good thing I had this to keep me awake (it's soo good. Really it is. I was worried I wouldn't like it.):
