Just bear in mind, however dumb the person you're interacting with is, some guy is going through an equally stupid situation with a woman.
Unless you were proposed to within 5 minutes. The women on this site don't do that. They're more likely to fish around to see if you can afford to bring them out of their country first.

Those are dreadful!! And no, you cannot ever wear them again (with few exceptions). I think I'd rather be a groomsman next time; I look great in a suit. =)

That's how I felt, too, when I was the maid of honor at my sister's wedding. I was feeling super self-conscious in my dress. I felt too exposed (it wasn't an immodest dress by any means, just for personal reasons I felt uncomfortable). But, once the wedding started, my self-consciousness went out the window as I watched my sister walk down the isle and realized that 1) people probably were not focusing on me anyway, they were focusing on the bride and groom! and 2) I was so happy for my sister there wasn't a lot of room for other feelings.
I still feel self-conscious when I look at the wedding pictures that I'm in, but...yeah. I don't know how helpful that was. I know you'll look gorgeous no matter what, Pipp.
