America is a mess.

I also don't appreciate how much taxes they take out of each paycheck and whatever bonuses I get to keep the madness going. They take my money to put towards spending more than they have. It's absurd.
 
It's 3 degrees outside today. Warmer then yesterday. At least I didn't freeze solid when I stepped outside.
 
cypher A troll is by definition someone who intentionally posts aggressive statements trying to make people angry , so it would make sense for people to want a troll to be kept from posting.

As for who is or isn't one, that's up to the mods to decide, I simply try to stay off threads that provoke me

This cracks me up. Nothing like looking at a paycheck to really foul up your day. America is a tough town.


I called my congressman once complaining about high taxes and he said "we really don't take out all that much. How much do you think we take out?" I said "A lot!" and he said "Wow, you hit it right on the nose".
 
taxes? HA, move to Norway and you will get to see taxes.... (but then again, our initial paycheck is larger, so we do get more in the end). What I dont get is how, if Norway is richer than the UK, medications can be free in the UK and not in Norway.
 
I need to start backing everything up on my computer, because my mom thinks my computer might be dying. I can't disagree. It's about 4 years old.

First step: Back all the music up.

Second step: Skip step one and save all the important paperwork, because my flash drive doesn't have enough space on it to hold all of my music even though it's completely empty.

Uneasiness in them?
Humiliation?
That they would stop writing words to be posted in the forums?
That their life might be impacted in such a way that they cease from certain activity?

By labeling them "Troll", what have you blinded yourself into framing everything they say as?
By labeling them "Troll", what have you judged their behavior as necessarily stemming from?
By publicly labeling them as "Troll", what have you openly proclaimed them to be, and asserted to others for the sake of their making the same associations for the defamation of the individual?

So. I perceived I might be talked about. I made a new post as a sort of response to that assumption, as well as a response to other things.

"Troll". "Defeated".
You might end up being schooled.
You might be about to learn a valuable life lesson about how you regard people, and how you go about labeling them without their being able to respond.

But if they were talking about someone else, no worries. Friends all around!

I saw your puzzle in the other thread. You posted information on a public forum and people responded. Oncefalled shared a personal glimpse of his own problems with addiction. JustMonicat kindly tried to help as well. I was also sincere although you probably don't believe that.

People respond to posts on a public forum, that's what happens. This reminds me of people who will post a personal issue on FB or Twitter and get angry when people respond with an opinion. If you don't want other's opinions don't make it public, period.

When I saw Oncefallen's post yesterday I was hoping that would reach you. I'm sorry it fell on deaf ears. Cyphercat I sent you a PM about how nice your forum posts are and how I could tell you really loved the Lord. I still think you have a lot of love for the Lord, although it doesn't matter what I think. I just kind of don't take you at face value anymore. That doesn't matter either We don't need to be friends, we don't need to be enemies, we can just co exist and that's what I plan on doing. Good luck in your recovery, my prayers are still with your daughter and you

I wouldn't say, "If you dont' want people to post their opinions, don't post in a public forum", but instead
"If you can't deal with people posting their opinions in response to your post on a public forum, you should think twice about posting."
 
The madness has to end. Please. For everyone's sake.



You can't just not move and stay in your own misery and expect God to just keep blessing you and blessing you. Sometimes we have to do things too. Maybe it's asking for help. Maybe it's filling out a job application instead of waiting for money to fall in your lap.

When James wrote that faith without works is dead, he didn't mean if you don't do A, B, and C, you're going to hell. He meant you can't just say "I believe that God can give me the money I need to get a suitable house." and just wait and wait for someone to give you enough money for a down payment. He meant pray, and go look for a job! Then when you get interviewed and offered the job, pray and make sure God wants you to work there.

You can't just say, "God will help me stop smoking." and still keep the cigarettes by your bed and not tell a non smoking Christian friend to help you stay accountable.


These things have to end. Or we're just living in dysfunction.

I try to follow optical stuff because it's interesting. I miss getting to see the new optical stuff first hand. And even getting to try some. I just saw today that Goggle has come up with a contact lens that can measure glucose levels. I am sure it's still in a trial period but that's neat. I am curious how much these will cost.

I think I might go back when my kids are older, it was fun. I miss taking measurements and I miss fixing things. I don't really miss customer service, but that's part of it too.

Wouldnt help too much, but hotmail has a skydrive that enables you to save a bit of data.
 
My shower cream says it is twice as foamy as the last edition....
Now I wonder: How does one measure fomayness?
 
My pleasure. I often wonder when I buy a product and it says New and Improved. I always wonder what is improved and what was wrong in the first place.

I once did a product test for facial scrubs, I had to say which one felt like it had more beads and which one had less beads. I really couldn't tell but I marked one of the letters. One was also about foam, is it to foamy, does it need to be more foamy. It was fun to do that but a little weird.
