Guys. I'm just gonna tell you right now.
It IS worth the 1-2 extra dollars you pay to buy organic products.
I've been eating pretty strictly organic stuff here lately (besides meats...meats are something that's so expensive I'd put it on my paycheck but right now my paycheck doesn't have the ability to cover that.)
Honestly, though. I DO feel better just by eating more organic stuff (fruits and veggies).
I think tomorrow I'm gonna make that quiche that I made a while back. It was soooooo good. Oh my word. SO GOOD. I have to make it again.

Consider going to your local county fair and buying an animal from a young child...
Normally the children who are around 8-10 years old are not experienced enough to place in auction. But they spend hours upon hours with that animal... And the meat is extremely good... Many people feed GMO corn products (unknowingly) but it is still better than 99% of the meat in the world. And you will be paying for that child's next animal in hopes they get to auction.
If you have the money you can buy a Steer for about 2 dollars a pound... Which is about an easy 700 lbs of steak, ribs, brisket, etc. For around 1500 dollars... It might sound like a lot... But my family chooses this option and we eat steak all year for 2 dollars a pound which can be 33% cheaper than walmarts cheapest stakes... The freezer to keep all your new meat could be more expensive than your meat...
That's actually not a bad idea at all. I'd have to save up for it (along with SO MANY other things) but I think it'd be worth it.
Meats have been one of the few things that's really been a stumbling block as far as eating good foods goes, and I think saving up for buying in bulk and making that a habit would be easier on the wallet overtime. (Well, I know it will. It's just the getting into it is the hardest part)
And yuck, Walmart steaks. >.< I do not buy meat from Walmart...ever. I don't trust their meats. I mean I'm not sure that the stuff I get from Kroger is any better. But, the less business I do with Walmart, the better. (I don't really do business with them anymore.) And I'm going WAY OFF TOPIC HERE. lol it's late.
My family already owns a pretty decent freezer! Though I don't think it's "keep 700 pounds worth of cow" decent...I'll have to look into that, too. xD
Better yet, grow them yourself.

She grows things such as zucchini and raspberries. Having the space for it is probably the biggest factor involved. SO I can't grow ALL the things I like to eat. Though even just growing those few things at home helps cut down on the cost....

You might be interested in Kratky hydroponics. No pumps, no electricity. No maintenance. Grow anywhere where there is enough sun exposure. It's one of the projects I've got all the equipment for and have plans to implement. I actually have enough space to grow all my food in soil, but I'd rather grow what I want faster. That's the plan, anyway. Anyway, the idea is worth checking out.
So, it's 2 in the morning, and I was woken up to feed the baby, so of course my brain went crazy.
I really don't want to have to leave home to get a job, I believe that mothers should be homemakers before anything else. That's what the Bible says women should be. Then there's the devil, who knows that taking the mother out of the home, is the best way to tear a household apart. A mother's role is insanely important, and the devil knows it. I don't want to let him take me out of my home too.
I already have a job that I do at home, to set up accounts for people in an online shopping club. My problem is that helping 5 more people to do that, means calling people on my chicken list (people I'm afraid to talk to); and even then, they might not be interested. 5 people doesn't seem like that many. But that's a lot when you look at it like its five people between you and a promotion.

Olerica: Gotta agree with zero again, zinc is what your body uses to manufacture antibodies. With zinc and lying down a lot I've had one day colds. Gotta love it. Cold-Eeze is great for ingesting zinc that is already formatted for fast absorption.

If you think about it, our actions, feelings, choices, and most of the things we do and way things are in the world all trace back to thoughts...maybe that's why Paul says the way to no longer conform to the world, but be transformed, is by the 'renewing of your mind'.

What's occupying my thoughts is... mmmmm... chili. Just ate a big bowl of it. Good breakfast.
Another thing occupying my thoughts is that I won't get nearly as much done today as I accomplished yesterday. On the other hand I didn't get paid a dime for all I did yesterday and I'll get paid for what I do today. Go figure.
One other thing occupying my thoughts is a little man... HEY I told you to stay out of my head! I swear, they were right when they said madness doesn't always howl, sometimes it's that quiet little voice saying, "Hey is there room in here for one more?"
