AuntieAnt is right. But what do you mean rarely heard? Come down to Southwest Tennessee and you can hear the sounds my cousins make all the time.

Please notice I said cousins. Lynx are not all bobcats but the Bobcats are lynx.

In other news... I totally want a bobcat now.



(I am apparently very extremely pet-deprived, right now... I have no fluffy animals to cuddle... *weeps*)

Once I went to a book store and asked something in Dutch of course and she said: oh I'm sorry, you're American! And she answered in English. It was just my mumble voice. I didn't dare say anymore that I was Dutch so I answered back in English. Oh my. Lol my brother always said: What is she mumbling?
 
WARNING: This video shows a snake getting a beat down by a mother rabbit protecting her babies. The snake survives the brutal butt kicking but it's still rather tense to watch. Fortunately, there is no blood shed.

Kinda surprising though to hear children cheering the rabbit in the background. :confused:

A lot of people think Flemish Giants would make good meat rabbits, but their bone/meat ratio isn't really that great. Much better off going with the New Zealand or Californian breeds. Large rabbit (not as big as the Flemish), smaller bones, and lots of meat.
