being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

Paul mentions two things.

"Beginning of the work."

"Completion of the work."

Or does he mention three things?

"Carry it on."

I think so many of us get frustrated that we're not at that 'completion' point.

We get frustrated that we haven't defeated that 'one thing' that is such a big issue.

When we're between 'beginning' and 'completion' we often believe that we're at a failure point. But such a view is wrong.

How can you be at a failure point if the work has been 'began'?

How can you be at a failure point if you're working toward 'completion'?

How can you be at a failure point if God is working for your 'completion'?

Don't lose heart if that ONE thing in your life isn't defeated yet.

Don't think you have failed because you're not at 'completion' yet.

The fact that you care about the struggle.....

The fact that you are engaged in the struggle....

Is solid proof that God began a work, and that God is carrying out that work.

All to completion.

This reminds me of the saying, "Its not all about the destination, but the journey to get there."
