TheBlaze Speaks to Bruce Bawer, Author of The Victims’ Revolution Criticizing Colleges for Teaching Students to Hate America | TheBlaze.com



In his latest book, “The Victims’ Revolution: The Rise of Identity Studies and the Closing of the Liberal Mind,” author Bruce Bawer takes to task American universities for their emphasis on Identity Studies – that is, Black Studies, “Queer Studies,” Chicano Studies, Women’s Studies – which he believes inculcate into impressionable college students the idea that those minority groups are victims of the oppressive white man.
 
And you know they have not been oppressed by white men because of what? Glenn Beck told you? The only way that could be different than the way it is presented is by redefining oppression into some action that actually benefits the victim which is exactly how Beck does it. Somehow simply by being in the presence of white men those groups have greatly benefited. It is preposterous.

It is exactly like telling you that paying higher taxes is a great benefit for you. You dont believe me when I say that and neither does anyone of those groups when they are told that they have not been oppressed. The feeling is the same. The only difference is that you have not been singled out by race or ethnicity for paying those higher taxes while those groups were singled out for oppression because of those things. Learn, Moment of faith, learn this could be a teachable moment for you. Your feeling of being oppressed by high taxes is not the cause of physical abuse like so many of those groups experienced it is just money but still it does offer some semblance of the same feeling.

Lest we forget the oppression continues. That author is simply lying.

They believe in the collective “ One World Order “ not the individual “ It’s a one on one relationship with Jesus “
 
White men do have a history of oppressing people. Otherwise how could you explain women not being allowed to vote until 1920ish, slavery, the civil rights movement, the currently mariage equality thing? Rich old white men are still holding other people down. I dont think there is any way around it.
 
Well, PEOPLE have a history of oppressing other people. We pinkish dudes have no lock on oppression.
 
A new world order, one world religion, one government where everyone is equal and no one is oppressed is ideal. It is perfect on paper and theology. But man will never be able to achieve it. There is greed for power and money. There is favoritism, jealousy and hatred. Education is no longer education but brainwashing. Which will eventualy lead to satanism. Then see how well it works out for everyone. The only possible way is when Jesus sets up his kingdom.
 
I wont say I hate capitalism, but it does have its problems. Capitalism is what allows drug companies to charge outrageous prices for life saving medications. It is what allows Chinese workers to be exploited and make toys for 18 cents, to be sold at walmart for 15 bucks
 
How much money does it cost to research medicines and bring them to market?

I bet if you spent millions on research and development you would want to make a few dollars

Tell china to raise their salary. Then what will you pay for it at the store, but that’s capitalism.

See that’s what they are going to do to get an equal playing field is reduce Americans salary and bring others up just a little then make a one world currency then you have a even playing field
 
So, moment of faith, you have no defense of white men oppressing everyone and moved on to accusing others of hating capitalism. Well it is quite apparent that you seem to hate socialism as though you've even lived in a socialistic society. There are several successful countries which employ the principles of socialism which are working better then our country, yeah I know you dont like anyone accusing the US of being anything but the greatest in everything but it is true far more than you like to admit.
