He compares what Paul says in 1Corinthians about us being saved but so as through fire to the Shipwreck at the end of Acts.

Everyone in the world had all their investments in the things on that ship that was wrecked on the rocks. They lost everything. Meanwhile Paul had nothing of that stuff but his whole investment was on the salvation of the people on that ship and he didn't lose one. Not only so, but the Shipwreck itself allowed him to also save everyone on the island.

A picture of this age -- part 1

27:9 Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them, 10 And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.

This age began with Jesus and the Apostles warning us of the perils and destruction that would come.

11 Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul.

People hear what they want to hear. If your heart is on the riches of this world you cannot hear the word of God.

12 And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an haven of Crete, and lieth toward the south west and north west. 13 And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing thence, they sailed close by Crete.

So they come up with some good reasons why they can ignore Paul and they take a vote. So look at these reasons, they know they will have to winter somewhere, that is not at issue, but one port is nicer than another? That is a lame reason. People in the world are like hamsters on a wheel, the grass is always greener on the other side. Then they see the wind blowing softly and say, ha, God is listening to us. It is the prayers of a righteous man that avail much, you know these are not righteous people who know God if they see the wind blowing softly and that is how they deduce that God is listening to them and answering their prayer.

14 But not long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon.

When Paul gave you the warning you had plenty of opportunity to heed it. But once you have ignored the word of God it does not take long for catastrophe to strike.

15 And when the ship was caught, and could not bear up into the wind, we let her drive. 16 And running under a certain island which is called Clauda, we had much work to come by the boat: 17 Which when they had taken up, they used helps, undergirding the ship; and, fearing lest they should fall into the quicksands, strake sail, and so were driven. 18 And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship; 19 And the third day we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship.

What a great picture, the ship "could not bear up into the wind". If you can point the ship into the wind then the storm will blow over and past you. But it was too strong and the captain was poor that he had not reacted in time. The storm is so rough they have to put ropes under the ship from one side to the other to keep it from breaking. This is like all the things the governments did during the pandemic to keep their economies from breaking up. But to make things worse they had to pull the sails up so they had enough power to keep from running aground. This means the boat ran even faster towards its ultimate demise. This is like all the spending they are doing that is fueling inflation. Then they "lighten the ship" a euphemism for throwing everything overboard. The owner of the ship was worried about the cost of wintering in that harbor, well now the cost is everything. You lighten the ship so it will not ride so deep in the water. They are doing this because the water is shallow and they are afraid to hit the rocks. Then they toss the tackling of the ship! Wow. The ship is now stripped down bare, couldn't sail if it wanted to.

20 And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.

You can't see, you can't sail, the situation is hopeless.

21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.

He isn't saying "I told you so", what he is telling them is the error that led to this loss.

22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.

This is the difference between a man of God and human opinions. Oh I think this and this, but when catastrophe strikes we learn you were clueless all the time and now our situation is hopeless. Meanwhile the guy who told you what you didn't want to hear still can see the narrow way that leads to life.

23 For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, 24 Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

Don't you love this! They arrest Paul, charge Paul and tell him he must appear before Caesar. No one in the world wants this to happen to them. But for Paul this is not their will, this is God's will. Paul is an ambassador of the kingdom of the heavens and God has a message for Caesar. Not only so but they thought Paul was their prisoner and now they learn he is their shepherd, they are all his sheep, and he has been promised that none of them will perish. He has been praying for them.

A picture of this age -- part 2

25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me. 26 Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island.

Why? We'll find out, but apparently people their have been praying for God to deliver them from sickness. We don't know what it is, all we know this island is infested with poisonous snakes. Sounds like the vaccine is killing everyone.

27 But when the fourteenth night was come, as we were driven up and down in Adria, about midnight the shipmen deemed that they drew near to some country; 28 And sounded, and found it twenty fathoms: and when they had gone a little further, they sounded again, and found it fifteen fathoms.

20 Fathoms is about 120 feet, 15 fathoms is 90 feet. It is getting shallow quickly.

29 Then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern, and wished for the day. 30 And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship, 31 Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.

Sounds like the ship has become Noah's ark.

32 Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.

How stupid. If everyone had been knit together that boat would have been very helpful in getting people on and off the ship, but because you have people who only care to save themselves you have to get rid of it.

33 And while the day was coming on, Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This day is the fourteenth day that ye have tarried and continued fasting, having taken nothing. 34 Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you. 35 And when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat. 36 Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat.

Sounds like the Lord's table meeting. Reminds me of the Psalm -- the Lord prepares a table for me in the presence of my enemies. It also reminds me of Passover, they eat the meal with their feet shod and they are ready to leave, like an army.

37 And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls. 38 And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea. 39 And when it was day, they knew not the land: but they discovered a certain creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship. 40 And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore. 41 And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.

They did this because they no longer had that row boat which the sailors were going to use to escape. Selfish, cowardly, faithless people cause a lot of problems.

42 And the soldiers' counsel was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim out, and escape.

Of course I would prefer selfish to cruel, murderous psychopaths.

43 But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land: 44 And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.

Why was the centurion willing to stand up to the rest of them to rescue Paul? The guards are not your enemy, pray for them, pray for everyone on the boat. This is your field where you are ministering and all these people who are alive are your reward. Our ministry is about saving people alive. They are in darkness, they don't know God, they don't hear from God, they are not visited by Angels, they don't have faith. They stumble around in darkness and will all die due to selfishness and cruelty. Paul was a light to them, he shone the way in the dark night.

Maybe they thought he was advising to winter in that port because he was scared, or because he didn't want to go to Caesar. But by the end of the journey they learn he is the only one who was not a coward, that he must go to Rome and that is one of the main reasons they won't die, and that when he speaks the word comes from God.

Compare Acts 27 with 2Timothy 3

It was definitely a perilous time. (describes the shipwreck).

Why didn't they listen to Paul? They were lovers of themselves, covetous (trying to save money), boasters (they all had their own opinion which they thought was better), proud, etc.

So off they sail and the story describes a terrifying trip in the storm, we can assume that there was a lot of cursing and blaspheming going on in that ship and instead of being thankful that they had Paul who was hearing from God they were probably blaming God and cursing God (hence unthankful and unholy).

Later the sailors try to sneak off, why, they didn't have natural affection, all about saving themselves. Then the soldiers want to kill all the prisoners (so much for Paul advising them and encouraging them (truce breakers).

What happens when they do get to land. They accuse Paul of being a murderer after the snake bites him (false accusers, fierce, despisers of those that are good).

But does Paul call them evil? No, he says that the Lord has given everyone of them to him and not one will die. That is his reward. He starts out ostensibly "their prisoner" and in the end he is the shepherd and they are his sheep. He has been saved, so as through fire, and all those with him are his reward. Meanwhile all those covetous worldly people who had their hopes on the things in the ship lost everything.

Let's not lose sight of the reason we are on this ship. We are here to give our testimony to Caesar and to share the gospel so that others could be saved. Read verse 35, it looks like they all had the Lord's table together. At the very least it is reminiscent of the Psalm -- He prepares a table for me in the presence of my enemies. The people on the ship are not your enemies, they are your reward.

Luke 13:10-17 The FBI being humiliated in this raid is a fulfillment of prophecy

10 On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, 11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” 13 Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

Stand up straight. You are a fig tree of the Lord, you need to bear fruit. You need to stop being played by these evil rulers, so quick to go and kill and destroy some poor 3rd world country. You need to return to the land God gave you, the inheritance that God has given you. The criminality of the FBI is plain for all to see. Why does the apostate church bend over and do obeisance to these ones? You let them tell you what you can and cannot say because you are afraid they will revoke your tax exempt status.

Amos 2:4 This is what the Lord says: “For three sins of Judah, even for four, I will not relent. Because they have rejected the law of the Lord and have not kept his decrees, because they have been led astray by false gods, the gods their ancestors followed,

Yes, Amos enumerates six sins for why they will be judged. But he sums them all up in the seventh, you rejected the law of the Lord, you didn’t keep His decrees, and you were led away by false gods. Imagine some pastor being given a dream where he sees the coming judgement and wrath of God, the Lord tells him “brace yourself” and you interpret that to mean to move your investments to gold and to buy a gun! You don’t think you have been led astray by false gods? Stand up straight! “Brace yourself” means to set yourself to take up your cross and follow Jesus to Jerusalem. Turn over the tables of the money changers, and witness for Jesus.

14 Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath,

There is a contrast between those who are praying that the father’s name would be hallowed, versus those who want their own name to be respected. Keeping the Sabbath was all about revering God the creator. Releasing this woman from Satan’s bondage so she could stand up straight and praise God. It seems to me that only Satan would have an issue with that. Why are these pundits on TV so upset that parents are going to school board meetings, or that people are getting involved in elections, or that record numbers are voting? Pride, ego, jealousy of others, this makes them one with Satan. No wonder God swore “lest they should enter my rest”. You want to enter the sabbath rest? Then your testimony must be “that it is no longer I that live but Christ who lives in me”.

the synagogue leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”

Are we to believe that this woman for 18 years never came to the synagogue except on the Sabbath? Are we to believe the synagogue ruler was healing people who were bent over on the other days? It sounds so religious and pious, and yet in reality so hypocritical and mean. This is the leaven of the pharisees that Jesus warned us about. For two years we have heard about how dangerous the pandemic is, how we need to shut down businesses, wear masks, shut down churches, stay home all to protect lives. It sounds so pious and concerned about people’s lives. But we now have 2,000,000 people swarming the border because Biden has promised amnesty. Is that really safe during a pandemic? For four years we heard that walls don’t work yet they surrounded the capitol with a wall? For six months we heard why you can’t send in the National guard to quell the riots and looting, yet they filled Washington DC with 25,000 troops? We heard for weeks how right wing supporters were going to storm all 50 capitols and riot, yet the only riots we saw were from ANTIFA in Portland and Seattle which the media didn’t cover. It is as though we are now in opposite world. We were told that Biden was not against fracking and yet the very first day he cancels a pipeline which put 11,000 people out of work and he cancelled fracking on public lands and sure enough gas prices went through the roof.

15 The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water?

Wow! They were treating people worse than beasts of burden in the guise of obeying God’s decrees. They are demanding that the schools are closed and kids are taught remotely, however, they are also opening schools for illegal immigrants. They want proof that you don't have Covid before you can travel, however, if you are an illegal alien they don't require that. What hypocrites. Not only do people learn to hate them but they ascribe this cruel doctrine to God, teaching people to hate God. This is the leaven of the pharisees. In the same way the American people are taught to hate what is going on and then they put the blame on these “right wing supremacists”. Recently we learned that Liz Cheney amassed $36 million in net worth over six years as a senator. You better believe they take care of their own ox, but the American people can't afford the inflation and the only advice they have is to buy an electric car.

16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”

So the synagogue leader is teaching that the law concerning the Sabbath requires that we treat a child of Abraham worse than we would treat an ox? If we are out to glorify our own names we will become abusive. We will distort and twist the Bible to our own purposes. We will become hypocrites. The Lord is teaching that the Sabbath was a day of rest, therefore it is appropriate to release this woman from being bound so that she could have rest. That is how she will keep the Sabbath. Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath, how is it that this pious religious leader couldn’t see that?

17 When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.

Once they tried to oppose Him “it was on”. They accused Him of healing by Beelezebul, they were humiliated. They tried to get Him to show them a sign that He was a great prophet, to glorify Himself, and He says the only sign they will see is the sign of Jonah. He will be crucified and raised again. Not only so but just as Jonah protested in the streets of Nineveh for 40 days the protests in the streets would be the sign of His coming. The cross is where Satan was put to an open shame. Now they try to say that Jesus violated the law when in fact He fulfilled it, they were humiliated.

Malachi 2:7 “For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge, because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty and people seek instruction from his mouth. 8 But you have turned from the way and by your teaching have caused many to stumble; you have violated the covenant with Levi,” says the Lord Almighty. 9 “So I have caused you to be despised and humiliated before all the people, because you have not followed my ways but have shown partiality in matters of the law.”

One key aspect of the day of the Lord that many gloss over is that religious leaders will be humiliated and despised before all the people. What does the "fake news" refer to but the humiliation of the "prophets". CNN has seen their ratings drop 70%, that is a fulfillment of this prophesy. Youtube has deleted millions of dislikes of Biden's videos, that is a fulfillment of this prophecy. This also is the Lord’s goal. In the meantime the people will be delighted with Jesus and His ministry. It is such a repulsive act when leaders and rulers make evil good and good evil. On the other hand it is such a delightful act when these same rulers are humiliated and God’s people are released from bondage. We are seeing this in our day. Congress and the media are despised. They are hypocritical.

A Picture of this age -- Part 3

Acts 28:28 And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.

The name means "honey" which is interesting since God promised to bring us to a land flowing with milk and honey.

2 And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.

It is cold, rainy, winter is coming, and all these ones were just saved from the sea. A nice picture of salvation.

3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

I find this interesting. At the end of Mark we are told that snakes will not hurt us. A lot of Bible teachers have wondered if that portion even belongs in the Bible. However, Chuck Missler had some astounding analysis of the word of God which pretty much conclusively proved it must. For example, all four of the gospels have words that are unique to that particular gospel. What is amazing is that all four have exactly the same number of unique words that are unique to that book in the Bible.

Matthew 42 words (7 x 6), and those 42 words have 126 letters (7 x 18)
Mark -- same thing, the words unique to this gospel are a multiple of 7 and some of those unique words occur in this last section about snakes.
Luke -- same thing, the words unique in this book are also a multiple of 7
John -- same thing, the unique words are also a multiple of 7
Same is true of the epistles of James, Peter, Jude and Paul. Each of these writers has the collective vocabulary unique to them as a multiple of 7.

4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.

Seems timely, sorcerers are likened to snakes, and the people who made this mRNA vaccine for Covid are definitely sorcerers. They have certainly bit many people in the world with their vaccine and already at this point it is becoming apparent that something is definitely not right about that vaccine.

Notice how Paul is slandered, being bit by the snake is proof that he is a murderer. Think of the people like Djokovic that didn't want to be vaccinated, they also were slandered, accused, and made into outcasts.

5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

That is what Mark says. I think Mark is the gospel to those that go through the tribulation and they will need to be healed from the snake bite by looking to Jesus on the Cross.

6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

What the enemy means for evil God turns it around for good. Being bit by that snake was a great benefit for the gospel. In the same way I believe God will use the tribulation to save many.

7 In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously. 8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

The prayers of a righteous man availeth much. In the last chapter we learned to ignore all the proud, arrogant people with their good opinions and justification. Instead we need to find the true prophets of God and hear what they have to say. This is not "majority rules" rather it is God's word rules.

9 So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:

God was sending Paul to speak to Caesar in Rome, but on the way He wants Paul to stop here and heal these people.

10 Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.

We have received prophesies that this will very soon be worldwide.

Water turned to blood, fish die, frogs are everywhere and when they die flies are everywhere.

The Lord said it would be as the days of Lot

If the Lord were about to return then it would have to be like the days of Lot. You would have to have mobs terrorizing the homes of the elders and chief leaders,

OK, but it wasn't just that, mob rampaging through the city at night would have to be standard practice It was clear it wasn't safe at night. That is why Lot was insistent that the angels come and stay with him. You have mobs running wild, so until we see that in the US you don't need to worry.

OK, we need to worry.

Everyone that exalteth himself shall be abased

9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

This word "despise" is really an ugly word, it indicates you hold others as having no account, and being contemptible.

10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

Interesting to me that the Lord is so specific about who they are. A Pharisee is a "teacher of the law". A publican refers to a tax collector though the term is a little less specific and a little more figurative. I suppose today we might use terms like "right wing politics" or "lover of mammon". You can see this on social media and even Christian forums.

11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself,

Wow! what an expression! Who prays with himself? What an egotist. It would be like someone coming onto a Christian forum so they could talk with themselves. I know that sounds bizarre but I have actually seen this.

God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

It seems to me that for this Pharisee everyone is evil. He is saying they are ungodly, they are idolaters, they are evil, they are sinful, they are liars, etc.

12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

In other words he is saying that he has a relationship with God and they don't. How do we know? Because of these things. Jesus said that we are to love one another and in this way everyone would know that we are His disciples. Whoever this pharisee has a relationship with it is clearly not Jesus.

13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

Interesting, the Publican knows he is a sinner, he knows he falls short of the glory of God. He is convicted by the law. This Pharisee thinks the law is there to kill and gut other people and yet never takes to heart that it is convicting him. The Publican is slayed by the word, the Pharisee thinks it is his job to slay everyone else with the law.

14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other:

Wow, did you get that? We don't go to the Lord to condemn and judge others, rather we should go to the Lord so that we could be washed, we could be fed, we could repent, we could receive from the Lord and then be strengthened to obey the Lord.

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

This is how we become justified. Then, and only then, does God glorify us. We don't need to be tooting out own horn, boasting about how many godless fools we have insulted. To call a Christian a fool demonstrates to me that you have no fear at all of the Lord or of His word.

but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

I would think any genuine believer who had done this would repent on their knees and beg for forgiveness.

for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

You see this all the time when these pompous athletes say they will defeat Mike Tyson, or take down Tom Brady, etc. That is exalting yourself. Pride comes before a fall, I suspect arrogant ones like this may just fall on their own sword.

Luke 13:18-21 A Cheap knock off of the Kingdom of God

18 Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? 19 It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches.” 20 Again he asked, “What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? 21 It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”

This is a really weird section. In the last chapter we were told to beware the leaven of the Pharisees. Their words were hidden, concealed, but Jesus promised that it would all be shouted from the rooftop. Here again the Lord says the kingdom of God is compared to a woman who hid leaven in the meal. The other weird thing is that mustard is a plant, not a tree. Mustard is a herb and generally would be a shrub in a garden. Also, if you were growing a garden it seems strange that you would want to have birds roosting in the middle of your garden, the opposite of the whole concept of a scarecrow. Which is also interesting because mustard is planted to repel insects, similar to a scarecrow being put in a garden to repel birds. If the mustard were doing its job there would be no insects for the birds to eat. The Jews celebrate the feast of unleavened bread so why would the kingdom be like a woman who hides leaven in the bread? On the other hand Jesus says the Kingdom of God is like this, it is comparable to this. That sounds good. To me the key to this section is that many Bible teachers teach that it is a non sequitur, just a miscellaneous teaching thrown in. I reject that interpretation. In my experience the Bible writers do not waste a single word, nor do they just throw stuff in there. So, if you are lost, go back to where you last had the trail and pick it up there. Beware the leaven of the pharisees, what does that mean? 1. It is hypocrisy. They will speak things in secret that they are embarrassed and ashamed of when they are shouted from the rooftops. This is why the woman “hid” the leaven in the meal. These are words spoken in secret. 2. They kill the body. It was the Jews that had Jesus crucified. He has already told us repeatedly He is going up to Jerusalem and will be crucified. He knows that they are the ones who will do it. He says don’t fear those who can only kill the body but after that are powerless. Their authority does not come from God who will judge, but from themselves. This woman bent over for 18 years is fully aligned with Jesus declaring that the lawyers bind heavy burdens on people but won’t even move a finger to help lift these burdens. 3. The trial of Jesus involved blaspheming the Holy Spirit, not just speaking against the Son. It is the Holy Spirit that will raise this temple up in three days. That was the key testimony in the trial. Likewise it is the Spirit that healed this woman that they are also blaspheming. The Holy Spirit would never do anything contrary to the decrees of God. So when you say that Jesus was violating the Sabbath it implies that He was healing by Beelzebub. 4. They are laying up treasure for themselves in this life and are not rich towards God. If this synagogue leader had been rich towards God this woman would have been healed prior to this. 5. They are not watching, instead they are allowing the Lord’s house to be broken into and plundered. This woman is a daughter of Abraham and yet the synagogue ruler has allowed her to be bound by Satan for these 18 years. He is talking about keeping the Sabbath and yet he doesn’t even recognize the Lord of the Sabbath. 6. They know the Lord’s will but aren’t doing it. He said to come and get healed during the other six days. He knows the will, he just isn’t doing it. 7 They are hypocrites, they know how to see when a storm is coming yet they can’t see that Jesus is coming. They should know how to interpret the time, but they can’t. Now we see all of this demonstrated in this account concerning this woman standing up straight. This is what the Lord warned us about when He said “beware the leaven of the pharisees”.

So why does Jesus say this is like the kingdom of God? He said it is compared to that, it is like that, but it isn’t that. Satan said that if you ate the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you would be “like” God. You wouldn’t be God, you wouldn’t be able to say “to me to live is Christ”, no that is the tree of life. Instead, you would be comparable to God, you would be wise, knowing good and evil. But sadly, you wouldn’t have the life that could stand up straight, instead you would be bent over by evil and that is how you would know evil and that is how you would become wise. They hide their words in the body of believers until everyone is affected, the whole lump is leavened. Second, they hold people in fear of dying. To live your whole life like that, afraid of them is like being bound by Satan and bent over. Third we just saw the synagogue ruler blaspheme the Spirit, the woman was healed after 18 years of being bent over and he says that this was a violation of the law. The Holy Spirit is not going to do anything that violates one jot or one tittle of the law, instead He will fulfill the law. It also exposed that this ruler of the synagogue was not rich towards God. Instead he had allowed the house of God to be broken into and Satan to bind this daughter of Abraham for 18 years. Also, he said to come on one of the other six days to get healed. He knows the will of God but he isn’t doing it. He is a hypocrite, he can’t see that this is Jesus, the Son of God who is coming. This religious ruler was a counterfeit bill, he was like the kingdom of God, he was comparable to the kingdom of God, but this was the leaven that the Lord warned us about. This is why many can teach that this depicts faith and the Spirit mingled with our spirit. It is like that, it does compare to that, but it isn’t that.

There is a garden, just like the Bible began with a garden of Eden. There is a man who planted this mustard seed, just like God planted all the trees in the garden of Eden. This man is imitating God. But the mustard plant is weird, it grows into a tree and instead of repelling pests it becomes a place for the pests to perch. What happened? Hard to say except what happened to the mustard plant is the same thing that happens to meal when you add leaven, it grows, it expands. Is it a good thing that this ruler of the synagogue has become such a big man he can tell others they can’t heal people and he can tell others on what days they can be healed? They want the chief seats, the big name, they are so full of themselves they even tell the Son of God He is wrong. They treat others worse than they treat their own animals. Is that really the kingdom of God or a cheap knockoff? What is social justice about anyway? Isn’t the real issue that the rulers have become abusive to the common man? Yes the Lord’s goal is to bring in the Kingdom, on earth as it is in heaven. But, part of that goal is to expose the counterfeit bill. I can perfectly understand why many people did not want Trump to be elected, makes perfect sense. I can also understand why 40% of the country does not think the election was rigged, though one would think that if they looked at the evidence themselves instead of letting someone else tell them what to think they would change their mind. But for three months you are told that Trump was going to try a coup, at what point do you realize they lied to you? 25,000 troops in the capitol and they won’t tell you why? How does a president get more votes than Reagan or Obama and yet on day one of his administration he is the most unpopular president in history? If they are so scared of this pandemic why are they opening the border to millions of people streaming across? If they are so terrified of the riots why didn’t they cover the riots in Seattle and Portland? The Lord’s goal is that we would know the truth, and little by little, day by day, you are seeing more and more people see the truth.

A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

Oh, now I see, thanks. (I was directed to see this post by someone I had put on ignore a week ago. -- Only a racist moron would think that a wall on the border with Mexico is a good thing. A Christian would never have hatred for the Mexican people as this fool demonsdtrates he has and he is willing to spend MY money an other people's money to exercise HIS racist hatred against Mexicans. ZNP is an evil fool who hates God.) So I prayed and this was my response.

8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

You can tame a lion or tiger, they can be taught to imitate a domesticated animal. They aren't, but they can put on a good show at the circus. But the tongue, no one can tame. That is where you see the true nature of the beast.

9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

This is like introducing God, the potter, and blessing Him and saying what a wonderful creator He is, and then cursing and insulting all of the clay pots he made. I don't think God will be too pleased with that introduction.

10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

We have pots that we cook in, and we have pots that we use for human waste. You should not use the same pot for both.

11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?

Sounds like something right out of Jim Crowe. White person drinks from the fountain it is water, black person and it is salt water. Something is really wrong with this fountain.

12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

Did you catch that? James is the best book in the entire New Testament for identifying false prophets and cults. He is telling you right here that this person's mouth is false. i like Hitler as an example because we are all familiar with him and he is at the extreme on the spectrum of personality cult. He would tell the Germans how wonderful they were, they were the chosen race and then in the next breath he would be cursing people made in the image of God. Maybe many people wanted to hear the good things and wanted to ignore the cursing. That was a big mistake.

13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

Notice there is a meekness of wisdom. These cult figures and false prophets have no meekness and despise that. Instead they see themselves as some kind of conquering hero slaying everything in their sight. Again, Hitler is a very good example of this. His attack of Russia showed he had no meekness and no wisdom.

14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

This is why they are not meek. To "glory against the truth" is what we see all the time. Recently Joe Biden talked about his legislative accomplishments and how one bill was going to create 1 million new jobs in the "green industries". Analysis later showed that the number would be about 6,000 new jobs. He said that the exit from Afghanistan was a success. He said that inflation is 0%. This is to glory against the truth and to lie against the truth.

15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

It is a wisdom. Some people are buying it up. You see how they are able to accomplish their goals. Liz Cheney served one term as senator for Wyoming and then lost in the primary a week or two ago. And yet, after only six years she has increased her net worth by $36 million. That is over and above her living expenses and that is after a 30% drop in the stock market.

16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

Today what do we have? We have confusion on an incredible scale. Today I heard on the news about all the things "Biden has accomplished". The viewpoint on Biden's presidency is utterly confused with half the country seeing him as the worst president ever and the other half touting all his "great accomplishments". And we are seeing evil works galore. No need even to enumerate them here, crime, the border, fentanyl, inflation, runaway government spending, mobs threatening SCOTUS, etc., etc.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

This is the part that many are struggling with. They want tit for tat. They are partial and they are hypocritical. This corruption that is in Washington is not unique to one party, and it certainly didn't begin with Joe Biden.

18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

The reason Hitler was able to come to power is because Germany had a very weak and ineffective government. You can talk about how terrible Hitler was, but the Weimar Republic paved the way for Hitler to take power. When the US was a great country we had great leaders: Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, and Eisenhower. The same is true with the church. This person that has everyone up in arms is irrelevant. Paul said after the first and second admonition turn away from them.
