Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the son of man cometh.
In the verse in Matthew Jesus is emphasizing that we "do not know" the day or the hour. Now that could be because there is no prophecy in the Bible that tells us the day or the hour. Or it could also be that although one of the appointed days is the day that Jesus will return that the calendars have been so messed with that we don't know what day is what on the calendar. Remember, we lost a day when Joshua battled enemies, and the sun went back two hours at the time of Hezekiah. So both the day and the hour have been changed. It seems the year used to be 360 days and worked perfectly with the moon, now it is 365.25 days and does not work with the moon. Imagine how far off that has gotten in the last 4,000 years. To make things worse we aren't exactly sure the day Jesus was born or the day He was crucified.
Luke 12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
But let's compare this with Luke. You are blessed if you are watching, it forces you to look more carefully at the word of God. But one thing we can certainly take away from this, when the entire world is making a hubbub about a particular day like they did with the eclipse you can be sure that will not be the day of the rapture. That doesn't mean it isn't important, it is like how bank robbers will try and rob a bank when a parade is going by as though the distraction will help them break into the vault undetected. The eclipse was most certainly a sign from God concerning the season we are in. The problem is with interpreting the sign. In 2017 it passed over seven cities named Salem, that would indicate seven years of peace. We have not had seven years of peace yet because that sign was in August of 2017. That sign ended on the place the civil war started. So it is very likely that the seven years of peace will end with a civil war starting. Then this 2024 eclipse traces the New Madrid Fault, which could indicate the US being split along that line.
But this eclipse begins when the civil war ends, and the other eclipse ended where the civil war begins. It is very possible that these squabbles and polarization and attacks we are seeing in our country these last seven years could end with a very dramatic and powerful act of God. In the midst of this eclipse you have rapture Indiana, but prior to that you have Little Egypt which may indicate a preview of the ten plagues of Egypt, and right after that you go over two cities named Nineveh which could indicate that event will be a strong testimony to this evil and adulterous age to repent.
The very last thing the eclipse crosses as it leaves the US is the Boston Post Rd (route 1) and that could be God telling us that this sign is His letter to us.
41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?
42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
In other words is this word about not knowing the day or the hour just to unbelievers or to the disciples as well? So Peter was a shepherd who fed the sheep and Jesus is telling us you have to be a watchman to know the due season and to feed the sheep their portion in due season.
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
