Concluding remarks about walking by faith
Hebrews 11:32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.
Again, this is why I hate OSAS. Look at these great experiences of Christ, they completely ignore all of them and make the Christian life this soppy story of being forgiven of your sins. What about subduing kingdoms and stopping the mouths of lions?
34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
This is the Christian experience I long to have. Waxing valiant in fight! Turning to flight the armies of aliens!
35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
These are the miracles I want to experience, seeing the dead raised! This is the Christians I want to stand with, those that would choose torture over deliverance.
36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
And others refers to those who will be left behind after the rapture. They will endure cruel mockings, and scourgings, bonds and imprisonment. However, this will still be an opportunity for them to walk by faith and to be pleasing to God.
37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
Again, we are told during the tribulation those that refuse to take the mark of the beast will be beheaded, that is similar to being sawn asunder. They will be destitute, unable to buy or sell. They will be afflicted and tormented. However, remember, there is no temptation that will come on you that has not already happened to your brothers and sisters. The tribulation will be great in quantity of the persecution, but not in some unique way.
38 (Of whom the world was not worthy
they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
During the tribulation if you are left behind many will be forced to wander in the deserts and mountains, in dens and caves. We are told after the man child is caught up the woman flees into the wilderness.
39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
The tribulation is a second chance at obtaining a good report through faith. To be raptured is to receive the blessed promise, if you miss that you get a second chance.
40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

The Christian life is a race. When you prayed for forgiveness and Jesus blood redeemed you that was you laying aside every weight of sin prior to the race. But now that you have done that you are to run the race that is set before you. Think how ridiculous people are when they say that running the race is "works based salvation". No, Jesus' blood enables us to lay aside every weight of sin, not by anything we have done. But now that you are no longer carrying the guilt of that sin you can run the race.
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
The Christian life involves enduring the cross, so that we could share in the fellowship of His sufferings. It includes despising the shame and the finish line is the throne of God.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
The reason we are considering everything that Jesus went through to bring us salvation is so that we are not wearied and we don't faint at the things we are going through.
4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
This is not "works based salvation", this is fighting the spiritual warfare, this is running the race, this is bringing in the Kingdom of the heavens to the earth. This is us being one with the "restrainer". Those who are raptured are those who are one with the restrainer.
5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
When you are on the battlefield you will make mistakes. It is like a heavyweight fight, you are in the ring for three minutes then you come back to your corner where you get a critique. The Lord tells you the mistakes you have made and tells you what you need to be doing. You see the same thing in the NFL, the offense is out on the field, when they come back to the bench they hand them some photos and the coaches talk to them about what they can do, what the enemy is doing, the mistakes you are making, etc.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
As long as you endure chastening you can improve. I have been chastened by the Lord over numerous blunders and errors, but as I think on that I realize what looks like a big blunder turns out to be a touchstone. That is a major lesson in life that you return to again and again and again. If you learn from them they become your biggest experiences that have done the most to help you.
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
It is so sad to see genuine brothers and sisters who absolutely refuse to accept chastisement.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
I learned several really important lessons from my fathers in the flesh, but by reading the Bible I learn so much more from the Father of spirits.
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
This is my experience, every single chastening that I can recall was for my profit and helped me to partake even more of who God is.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
If you are going through your Christian life avoiding all chastening you are missing out. I remember as a kid thinking "I could do that if I wanted to, I just don't want to". But then when I actually did run the race I learned how much harder it was. Every day you are running the race the Lord will be correcting you, coaching you, chastising you. Christians who are avoiding chastisement are actually avoiding running the race. If you do that you get this false impression of yourself that you are spiritual and can do all things when in reality you are a white belt. On the other hand if you do run the race it gives you a whole new appreciation for all the brothers and sisters who are also running the race. You know how tough it is and so you also know it is just as tough and hard for them and yet they are their running right alongside you.
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; 13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
When you think I am so tired, I alone am running this race your hands will hang down and your knees will be feeble. But then when you open your eyes and see so many others are also running it encourages you, it strengthens you, and you can now open up to the Lord to be healed. You were lame but now you can run.
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Take a look at the "social justice warriors". Are they following peace with all men? No, then they are white belts. Are they following after holiness with God? No. Then they are blind and white belts.

There are a lot of sins and offenses. They are like a pebble in your shoe. Don't dwell on it. Simply get the pebble out of your shoe and give it to the Lord. If you are all focused on that root of bitterness then you have stopped running the race to nurse your little boo boo.
16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
I heard a sister once say that if her husband commits adultery she will commit adultery. I thought, that would make you a fornicator and an adulteress! Why would you do that? If someone else sins that is between them and the Lord, I am not going to sell my birthright because someone else has.
17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
Again, does Once Saved Always Saved crowd tell you this? No, they'll say this person was never saved in the first place. What does that mean, if any Christian stumbles and sins after having been baptized that they were never actually saved in the first place?! This is a Satanic doctrine.
18 For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, 19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: 20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: 21 And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake
This refers to Mount Sinai that the Children of Israel came to after leaving Egypt and crossing the Red Sea. Hebrews is likening their trip through the wilderness to our "running the race set before us".
22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
However, instead of Mount Sinai he says the Christians came to Mount Sion, this is where Jesus ascended to the throne of God. The Jews have Moses, we have Jesus. The blood of Abel was calling for God to judge Cain, the blood of sprinkling that we have is calling for God to forgive us of our sins. The Old Testament shows us what happens if we go down the same path that the Jews took and the New Testament gives us a different path that we can run. A path that leads to the heavenly Jerusalem. Imagine how terrifying it would be for sinners to all of a sudden be popped up into the heavenly Jerusalem. We would have no idea how we are to act in the house of God. So the Lord brings us to the general assembly of the firstborn during the church age where we can first be trained.
25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: 26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
The Bible is very clear, we are to trust and obey. If someone tells you that obeying the Lord with what He is speaking to us is "works based salvation" stop listening to them. They are liars, deceivers. Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light and so can his false prophets. God has made us many promises, one of them is to shake both earth and heaven once more. That is why I have this blog, to examine what that shaking will be.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
This is why if you want to be in the rapture you must have unshakeable faith.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
Yes, we received the free gift of grace that redeemed us from our sins. But that wasn't simply so we wouldn't go to hell, it was so that we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
29 For our God is a consuming fire.
And that sums up what this shaking will be.

Just a side note, I was taught that the ten virgins represent the Christians who will have died at the time of the Lord's return, and prior to that He talks about two, one is taken the other left. Those are the ones who are alive at the time of the rapture. Together they make 12, a complete number. In both cases, those that are dead and those that are alive Jesus takes half and leaves half.
Of course this explanation is also confusing, does this mean half of the Christians who rise from the dead will be left on the earth as part of the remnant?
So yes, you can view these ten as those that had fallen asleep in the sense they weren't watching or paying attention to what was going on. But the problem with that is half are spirit filled and yet they were not one with the Holy Spirit to restrain evil, instead they were sleeping.
Regardless of how you interpret this, the Lord is saying that a very large number of Christians who think they will be raptured will in fact be left behind in the tribulation.
Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Make the word of God your keel.
James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Patience is powerful, it is intimidating. The most impressive thing to me about the Patriots beating the Falcons when they were down 28-3 in the third quarter of the Super Bowl is something no one ever mentions. The two teams were micked up and even with the 28-3 lead the Falcons were not talking like the game was over. Instead they were talking about how they knew it wasn't! So when the Patriots came down and scored it was confirmation to them, and when they had a strip sack it was as though they were horrified, and they played with this fear knowing that Brady and the Patriots were patient, they would not quit. This is the way we need to be as Christians, we know Jesus will be victorious, we are patient regardless of how bad things look.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
You can never have a perfect work without patience. People want short cuts, that is what cheating is. But if you cut corners, if you take shortcuts, it will all come out in the end. When I first got saved my dream, my prayer was that I could open the Bible, read it and understand it. I wanted to be able to pick it up like any book and simply be able to read it and understand it. But I was surrounded by many other brothers who wanted a shortcut. They thought if I simply memorize this other brothers ministry, since he had spoken on every book of the Bible then they too would be able to. They advanced quickly in that organization and soon became leaders. But now they needed to speak messages and they quickly became canned messages, simply rehashing things that had been said by this one man. This is probably the most common approach for all pastors and preachers. They have resources to help them put together a sermon on any Bible verse. I know about those resources. There are Bible commentaries on every single Bible verse and occassionally I will use them. But that is not my approach, I read the word, I have it open between me and the Lord. If the Lord shines on any verse then I will dig deeper and if He wants it on this blog, then we go from there. I have nothing against all the brothers and sisters who have gone before and shared the word, I appreciate them. But my dream was never to be a parrot. In fact my dream was never to have this blog, this was forced on me by the Lord. It took those other brothers two or three years to excel in being able to regurgitate the "apostle's" ministry. For me it probably took 20 years before I could simply open the Bible and read it. Here a little there a little, it was like putting puzzle pieces into a jigsaw puzzle with ten thousand pieces one piece a day.

I was a huge fool growing up. Everyone told me I was a fool. Not as an insult but as a wake up, my Dad told me this, everyone that tried to help me with advice told me this. I knew I was a fool but I also knew what my dream was, so I asked God to give me wisdom. There are two kinds of wisdom, one from the world and one from God. If you take the world's wisdom you will regret it.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Why are they wavering? You see the world's wisdom will help you get a great job, a nice house, and money in the bank. The problem is that if you have just the slightest revelation of what is going to happen you know all those things will go up in flames. Those things are the wood, hay and stubble that will be burned up. So this person is praying to God for wisdom, God is telling Him don't pursue things that will be burned up, you will suffer loss if you try to get those, and yet this is what the man wants. He wants God to give him wisdom on how to get that job, house, money that God is telling him will burn up in flames.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
This is idiotic. Why would the Lord do something like that, of course He won't.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
I can't see your heart, I can't see what motivates you, but I can see people who are "unstable in all their ways". Think of a sail boat. You are out there sailing in the wind and the waves. I want to go in one direction but the waves want me to go in another and the wind wants me to go in another way too. A good sail boat is designed to cut through the waves and go where the captain steers regardless of wind and waves. Jesus is the captain, we are the sail boat, that should be us. But if the sailboat does not have a keel, a really good keel (a lot of science goes into designing the best keels) then that boat will not cut straight through the wind and waves. The word of God is the very best scientifically designed keel. The ministry of men may work, but no man's ministry is as well designed as the word of God. Make the word of God your keel.
James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Patience is powerful, it is intimidating. The most impressive thing to me about the Patriots beating the Falcons when they were down 28-3 in the third quarter of the Super Bowl is something no one ever mentions. The two teams were micked up and even with the 28-3 lead the Falcons were not talking like the game was over. Instead they were talking about how they knew it wasn't! So when the Patriots came down and scored it was confirmation to them, and when they had a strip sack it was as though they were horrified, and they played with this fear knowing that Brady and the Patriots were patient, they would not quit. This is the way we need to be as Christians, we know Jesus will be victorious, we are patient regardless of how bad things look.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
You can never have a perfect work without patience. People want short cuts, that is what cheating is. But if you cut corners, if you take shortcuts, it will all come out in the end. When I first got saved my dream, my prayer was that I could open the Bible, read it and understand it. I wanted to be able to pick it up like any book and simply be able to read it and understand it. But I was surrounded by many other brothers who wanted a shortcut. They thought if I simply memorize this other brothers ministry, since he had spoken on every book of the Bible then they too would be able to. They advanced quickly in that organization and soon became leaders. But now they needed to speak messages and they quickly became canned messages, simply rehashing things that had been said by this one man. This is probably the most common approach for all pastors and preachers. They have resources to help them put together a sermon on any Bible verse. I know about those resources. There are Bible commentaries on every single Bible verse and occassionally I will use them. But that is not my approach, I read the word, I have it open between me and the Lord. If the Lord shines on any verse then I will dig deeper and if He wants it on this blog, then we go from there. I have nothing against all the brothers and sisters who have gone before and shared the word, I appreciate them. But my dream was never to be a parrot. In fact my dream was never to have this blog, this was forced on me by the Lord. It took those other brothers two or three years to excel in being able to regurgitate the "apostle's" ministry. For me it probably took 20 years before I could simply open the Bible and read it. Here a little there a little, it was like putting puzzle pieces into a jigsaw puzzle with ten thousand pieces one piece a day.

10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
The gospel is also that all these things we see today are going to pass away. That big house, that important job, now is the time for the rich in this life to not be deceived, but to realize they have a chance to also bring the gospel where others can't.
11 For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
Take a look at China. Their real estate market just a few years ago was sizzling hot and many were made abundantly rich from this, that has all passed away with billion dollar bankruptcies and 70-80% drop in home prices. The sun has risen and the grass withereth and the flower thereof falleth. This happens repeatedly in human history.
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Once again the Once Saved Always Saved doctrine has no room for this verse. There is a temptation to leave the Lord and pursue the world just like Demas did. There is a temptation to leave the narrow way and join some cult like the judaizers were that James was the leader of. James and Paul were both part of that cult, two different wings of the same cult. Both of them endured that temptation and will receive the crown of life. The key that saved them both is that they loved the Lord Jesus. If you love the Lord Jesus even if you are deceived you can still be saved.

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Do not debate over whether or not you were led away by your lusts. Did it bring forth sin? Did that sin bring forth death?
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
This is a very big error for everyone caught up in a cult or in group speak.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
You assume that if that preacher gave you a good gift, he led you to the Lord, that this is proof that the entire ministry is of the Lord. He also is in the tug of war between his lusts and his love for the Lord. If he gave you a good gift it didn't come from him, it came from the Lord.

It is not for me to judge who is and who is not saved. Also every martyr in the Bible was murdered, there was no confusion about that.
Therefore we are not talking about the death of a person the whole world mourned liked Diana nor are we talking about the death of a whistleblower or the witness in a mafia trial. We are not talking about deaths made to look like suicide. The death of a Christian martyr is a witness, a testimony that Satan desires to shut this person up.
In the Bible we are given two major examples, Abel and Stephen, but there are others.
We have the most detailed account of what Stephen spoke in Acts 7, which includes this:
51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. 52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: 53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it. 54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.
I have heard that some think a prophet would not speak like the way Charlie Kirk did, but the reality is that Stephen was every bit as harsh if not more so.
With Abel we are told that after he died his blood still spoke. This is an important criteria for a Christian martyr, after they die their ministry needs to still speak. Think of Martin Luther King Jr., it was true for him and it is true for Charlie Kirk.
1 John 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
This is the reason that Cain slew Abel, it was because Abel was exposing that Cain's works were evil. This was true of Martin Luther King, Jr. and it is true of Charlie Kirk.
Amos 5:10 They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.
Now there is one very unique aspect to Charlie Kirk's assassination and that is the very public display of rejoicing in his death. That is a display of hate. We are witnessing the hate of people because he rebuked in the gate and he spoke uprightly.
Therefore we can conclude that Charlie Kirk's assassination was as a Christian Martyr.
What does this mean?

And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. 2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. 3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.
The book of Acts gives us a preview of what the tribulation will be like. We see a persecution of the church, we see two witnesses, and we see the martyrdom of the apostles, all beginning with Stephen. What we are seeing here is that this persecution is about to begin. As soon as the restrainer steps aside (the rapture) we will see this in full swing. The assassination of Charlie Kirk is a peak behind the curtain to see what they think of Christians.
Revelation 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

We will hear things that will outrage us, but the wrath of man works not the righteousness of God. For example I have heard a lot of people talking about how whites are advantaged in the US and life was not fair for the blacks. I grew up in a wealthy white neighborhood and I envied the blacks. They had living, vibrant churches that worshipped the Lord. You didn't have that in our neighborhood, just dead churches. The only reason you think that whites were advantaged over blacks is because you treasure everything that is set to burn up in the judgement and you despise the things of eternal worth like the gospel of Jesus Christ, knowing the king of kings, and having a high calling of God. Think of how quick people are to speak and be filled with wrath because they don't appreciate what they have.
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
Have you ever noticed when someone is filled with wrath out comes the filthiness of their speech and a whole lot of superflous of naughtiness. We get these viral videos all the time of Karens. It isn't murder, it isn't grand theft auto, it is superflous naughtiness. Stupid stuff. When you see that know that you have been manipulated with group think to fill you with wrath.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
When I was very young I thought "I could be a Christian if I wanted to, I just don't want to". I was deceiving my own self. Once I became a Christian I learned I can't do this without the Holy Spirit filling me and that won't happen unless I am spending time in the word, in prayer and in fellowship with other believers.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
Most of Christianity are hearers and not doers. You have to be involved in ministry, you must be a witness for the Lord. When I was a teacher a very common refrain among teachers was that the kids are lazy. But I knew when I was a student I was lazy. This is a very funny story if you were there, all of the teachers in my high school thought I was the hardest working student they had ever seen (we had two thousand students in that school). The reason they thought this was because I decided before going to high school that I would do 100% of my school work at school. My goal every day was to put the books into my locker at 3. My younger brother who struggled in school would see me listen to music, go to sleep and get As. My Mom said she never saw me bring home a book once. I considered myself a very lazy student. Now if a very lazy student is "the hardest working student these teachers had ever seen" what about my colleagues who complain the kids are lazy? They have forgotten what manner of men they are.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
The perfect law of liberty means you treat others the way you want to be treated. Do you want God harboring little offenses you have done saying "this one thing I can never forgive"? Do you want God's heart filled with bitterness towards you because of the things you said and did before? All of those offenses you have suffered that is an opportunity for you to forgive and show mercy because as you have forgiven others their trespasses against you so also God will forgive you your trespasses.
26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
You see this all the time on social media "I know as a Christian I shouldn't say this (or think this) but I just can't help myself". Well if that is the case your being a Christian is vain. When push comes to shove then "poof" you are no longer a Christian.
27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Look at the people cheering and rejoicing over Charlie Kirk's death. Are they visiting the fatherless and widows? No. This is how you know they are in an evil cult, filled with wrath.

You see this all the time on social media "I know as a Christian I shouldn't say this (or think this) but I just can't help myself". Well if that is the case your being a Christian is vain. When push comes to shove then "poof" you are no longer a Christian.
