Fulfillment of prophecy (2)

Luke 21:5 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said, 6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

In 70 AD this was fulfilled and not one stone was left upon another because the stones were plated with gold.

But this prophecy is a double edged sword. The destruction of the temple at the beginning of the church age is a foreshadow of the destruction of the temple at the end of the age. However, the temple at the end of the age is the church and we are all the living stones. Jesus is telling us that we need to have our faith on the rock, the revelation of Jesus as the Christ. If our faith is resting on the faith and work of another person like our pastor, then we will be cast down and lying on the ground at the time of the rapture. We will be left behind. Philadelphia is the church that gets raptured as a church and the Lord tells them He will make them a pillar in His house. At the rapture the Lord takes the pillars, the ones who are sitting on the rock and holding up the rest of the house.

In short, the word of God is a two edged sword and that applies to the prophecies as well.

Advice on Dating I mean evangelism.

Mark 4:1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. 2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, 3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:

What would be the first doctrine that you would teach? Perhaps it is that you are saved by believing in Jesus and receiving His blood. But that is not what Jesus leads with here, with Jesus the first doctrine He begins with is that we are His witnesses, sent out into the world to sow the seeds of God's word.

4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.

When I was in a college ministry some times we would hand out a hundred or more gospel tracts in one place. Afterwards we would see many, perhaps 80 or more left behind, left on the floor or in the garbage. People would mock, ridicule and dismiss those tracts. But one time we handed out a tract that I thought was stupid and yet we did not see any of them on the floor.

5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: 6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

This tract was "Will death solve your problems?" The tract was for those who were considering suicide as a way out. The reason everyone was taking this was because they were considering suicide. I was shocked, I realized I had fallen for their phony baloney story about how great their life was and how they didn't need Jesus.

7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.

This is like dead Christianity where the people are indeed saved, but they subscribe to "OSAS", and their life is all thorns and no fruit. Many of the watchmen discovered that the ones who attack them are Christians. The mocking and ridicule is like a flock of birds simply eating up all the seeds and tossing them in the garbage. The withered plants are like the ones we saw so excited about the imminent return of the Lord only to wither away under the attack. But what is infuriating about those in dead Christianity is that they know the Bible, they agree, and yet they have no fruit.

8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.

Is this really what farming is all about, is it really this haphazard? No, of course not. A farmer will use a plow to plant seeds so that the birds can't eat them. He will find and pull up the stones. They pull up the stones and put them up as walls. They don't allow thorns to grow up with their crops. To clear a land they would set it on fire and burn down all the thorns and weeds. Then with the plow you turn the land over and pull out all the roots and burn those. Then you will still have to weed this farm continuously for the next two or three years. But if you do a really good job all the seeds in the soil will have sprouted and been weeded and after three years there are no more weeds in the land except for the odd seed blown in by the wind.

9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

This story sounds like Johnny Appleseed traversing the USA planting apples seeds. What it is missing is the full time farmer who is on each plot of land caring for it and tending it to bring forth a harvest.

10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

You know this is how people talk when they are dating. They want to protect themselves so they don't reveal too much lest the person they are dating uses that to take advantage. Jesus is talking in parables because He is dating us. If you are the right person you will become the bride and inherit the kingdom, but if you are the wrong person you will not see, you will not perceive, you will not hear and you will not understand. For example I did not understand that all those students at the university were considering suicide. Once I understood that I was able to be converted in my evangelism. The signs were there, why did I miss them? Well you have evil birds trying to eat up all the clues they were dropping, and there were stones in my heart causing my efforts to wither away, and there were a lot of things I was doing that was choking my time. This is why so many Christians are fruitless.

13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

I liken this to baseball. Once I learned the secret on how to hit the ball that same secret applied to every pitch the pitcher might throw. The secret to hitting is seeing. Major league hitters see how the pitcher is holding the ball and how he throws it. They know the pitch the instant it leaves the pitchers hand. That is how they can react as quickly as they do. Little league pitchers watch the ball to see where it is going. That is slower, but the pitches are also slower. People who can't hit simply close their eyes and swing.

14 The sower soweth the word.

We were taught that the sower was Jesus and the apostles in their ministry. That is little league. As you enter ministry you see that you too are sowing the word, that is college. But if you are going to go pro you see that the unbelievers are also sowing seeds with their words. You are paying attention to what they say, you hear, you understand, you see, and you perceive where they are at.

15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

It works both ways, it can refer to the people you are handing out tracts to in the street and it can also refer to the street preacher. Think about a salesman, one is very successful, the other can't sell anything and yet they are both working in the same used car dealership. Why? One person realizes that the guy who comes on the lot is interested in a car, but has concerns which they voice. Since their primary concern is used car salesmen they are discreet in voicing their concerns. The other guy hears what they say and doesn't perceive that this is interest, he understands they are saying they are not interested.

16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

When a brother came preaching the gospel to me on the campus his experience was like this. A week before the semester began was called Freshman week. They put out a table about the church, I walked up and said "I want to joint this club". That was in August. But when they came around to my dorm I put them through the grinder. My prayer was that if there was any way for them to wither away that they would wither away. About seven or eight months later I got baptized. I asked the brother why he never gave up and he said because I never lied. On the one hand I wanted them to wither away but on the other hand if they were legitimately from the Lord I wanted to be obedient.

18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

The school I was in was extremely challenging. I have been in universities where a B was a bad grade. People assumed that since they paid tuition at the very least I need a B because if the grade is any lower by job won't pay. So those colleges play along. Getting a degree from those colleges is meaningless (in my opinion, sorry). But that was not Rice University. For Rice a D- was a bad grade. To get an F, that was hard, but a D-, no problem, and if your average dropped too low they would put you on probation. Either you worked hard or you flunked out. So that became an excuse, "I have to study" was a valid excuse. However, it was a matter of priorities. Once I was saved I did better with my grades but I also made every meeting, and that was six meetings a week, and that didn't include being invited to someone's home for fellowship. So I also had to cut other things out, I cut out the drunken parties on campus, I cut out TV, and I cut out dating. So when a person says "they have to study" know that the reason is because they are not cutting out those other things. The thorns are a priority to them, not time with the Lord and the church and fellowship.

20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Tim Cohen is an expert on King Charles. He teaches that King Charles is the Antichrist based on his heraldic achievement. I think he has made a mistake. I agree with him that the heraldic achievement of King Charles is referred to in the Bible, particularly in the book of Revelation. I also agree that the heraldic achievement says that King Charles is the Black Prince. Tim Cohen says that "I, the Black Prince, serve the red dragon" is a reference to the Antichrist and I also agree with that. However, I see King Charles as a prince to the reign of the Antichrist, he serves the Antichrist, not "he is the antichrist". That said King Charles and the Pope are obviously two very significant people in the end times. As Tim Cohen shows, the order of the garter which King Charles is the head of, is over all of the organized witchcraft, freemasons and occult groups in the world. And they will all serve the red dragon.

Do not allow the ministry to be put under those who donate to it

Mark 4:21 And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?

The word for bed can mean a couch that they used to recline at when eating at a table. A bushel is a basket that they use to hold grain, and the couch or bed is used when reclining at table to eat. The church is a lampstand, it holds the candles, it is supposed to be a light on a hill. So the candles are not the church, they are the prophets, they are the ministers. If you have a large evangelistic ministry like Billy Graham did you will also have donors. They will be from industry signified by the bushel basket since agriculture was the industry at the time of Jesus and they will be from the service industry signified by the couch that they use to recline at when eating. So then, is the prophet under the donors? If you put a bushel basket over the candle it will block the light, if you put it under the couch it will block the light. Suppose in our factories we are using child labor and are abusive. We might donate to some really good ministries to help polish our image and our only request is that they not shine any light on child labor and abusive practices. If you do that then your ministry is under the bushel basket, it is under the couch.

22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.

If you are a ministry shining light then there is nothing that is hid which shall not be manifested. Why do you think so many are turned off by Christianity? They see how religious leaders will make a bargain with the abusive task masters. During slavery it was the priests who taught the slaves to be obedient slaves, rather than shining a light on the horrors of this practice.

23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

Simple, if you want to have a powerful ministry speak the truth. On the other hand if you want to get rich and have a lot of donors simply make a bargain not to shine a light on their corruption. But know this, in the end we must all appear before the judgment seat of the Lord to answer for the things we have done.

24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

Recently a pastor in our city was given several thousand pounds of potatoes (I think it was 8 semi trailers filled). Why? Because the people knew he was faithful to give it to the poor and hungry. Every week he runs a food give away with around 1500 people getting boxes of food for the week.

25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

Be careful, if you say "I don't have anything to give" then that will become the truth. On the other hand if you do search you will find you do have something, it is small, but don't despise the day of small things. Instead realize you do have something to give, so seek and you will find.

26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.

This is a powerful principle. In 1987 I was a missionary to Taiwan and one of the things we had to do in our training was count how many times we had read the entire Bible cover to cover. I calculated at that time that it was 26 times. However, it was much more for the New Testament, and for a number of books in the Bible it was well over 100 times. Now as a rule I read through the Bible at least once a year but there was a time when I would listen to the Bible on tape while commuting to work. It is amazing how quickly you go through the Bible when you are listening to it for 90 minutes a day or 450 minutes a week. Now a lot of times you get to work and you can't remember what you heard. But you are not depressed, you are not fearful, you have not heard something vile or something that outraged you. Even if you don't remember you still got the benefit. If you simply let the water of the word wash over you then it will do the work.

28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

The donors think that it is their money that brings the harvest. But remove that minister like they did when they killed Charlie Kirk and now let's see how effective they are. It is not the money that brings in the harvest. The fact is no one knows how this works, simply speak the word and let God do the rest.

How is it that you have no faith?

Mark 4:30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: 32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

This is corruption. Those birds that steal the word of God, they are roosting in the tree that is supposed to be a church or a ministry. For example, lets consider Charlie Kirk's ministry, TPUSA. Some are alleging that as much as $40 million was embezzled from the ministry. How much money must that ministry receive that someone could skim $40 million off the top? Now prior to his assassination how many kids do you think he influenced? Their are about 18 million college students in the US. I doubt he influenced more than a third of them. But let's assume this ministry influenced 6 million kids. That is certainly a lot, a very fruitful ministry. But wait, there are 240 people in this ministry. On a per capita basis that is 25,000 people. Still, anyone involved can feel very good about that, it is certainly a good work. But look at this blog, I am at 760,000 people who have been influenced and not one dollar was donated to this ministry and it has only been one person working on this. What I am saying is that we do not have to become a great tree in which the fowls of the air can lodge in our branches. We can remain a small mustard plant and still do the Lord's work and still be as effective if not more effective than being in a large ministry.

33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.

I imagine there are a lot of people unable to hear what I just said. I'll leave that to the Lord.

34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

Be careful. There are spies among us, that is what we are told in Galatians. There are satanic operatives disguised as angels of light. Pray for discernment, pray for light, pray for the hidden things to be manifested.

35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. 36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. 37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

This is what happened to Charlie Kirks ministry. He talked about being under constant attack as though he was on the front lines of a war in a foxhole.

38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

This is what happened when he was assassinated.

39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

Why are we so fearful? If you obey the Lord's words and instructions you will be fine. The problem comes when you agree to let these with money become large donors and then they try to take control of the ministry away from the Lord. If you had faith in the Lord that He is the one who supplies and He is the one who is over all then you would have obeyed all these words. Instead what happens is people read this and say "that is stupid" and decide what they will listen to and what they will ignore. They do that because they don't really have faith that Jesus Christ is Lord of all.

41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

What manner of man is He? He certainly is not the manner of man that doesn't know what is going on, nor is He the manner that will stab you in the back or run when the going gets tough. Michael Jordan did something very interesting, he made the practices so tough and mean that anyone who was going to run would run long before they got to the playoffs. As a result everyone on that team was battle tested and everyone on that team had no problem with him being the leader because as bad as he was, they knew they would win with him. The people who stayed on that team all had the same goal, to win the championship.

Mark 5:1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

This is the east side of the sea of Galilee. The term we use in the US is "they live on the other side of the railroad tracks".

2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: 4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

What do we know about this guy, he is living among the tombs, no one can bind him, and no one can tame him. This reminds me of Ishmael, a "wild donkey of a man", if he becomes a terrorist. For someone living in the US the closest thing we would have would be a gangster.

5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

Sounds like a drive by shooting, the police sirens, the yellow tape, the sneakers hanging from the telephone wires.

6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, 7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. 8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. 9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

This is also true, the bloods and the Crips are many. They are possessed with an unclean spirit. To clean up a city and rid it of street gangs is a Christian ministry.

10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

It is fascinating, for all their bravado and toughness these gang members often will not leave a very small geographic area. It is as though they create their own little cage which is their territory and don't dare to step foot in some place that is not their territory.

11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

So we have a street gang and we have a dirty business side by side. This would be a very offensive business to an orthodox Jew. Pornography would be a good example of a great herd of swine. This sounds like a street gang in LA next to Hollywood.

12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

Have you noticed how Hollywood movies are filled with depictions of murders, rapes, robberies, and every vice that can be imagined. Have you noticed that they tried to bind them, they created the rating system. But with cable TV and the internet those ratings are useless at binding these demons.

13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand) and were choked in the sea.

Imagine two thousand dead pigs floating in the water. This could be applicable to many different situations in human history, but today we have generative AI and we have Pandora's box and AI can make a video with a simple prompt, the pictures are extremely realistic, the voices are realistic. Now let's skip the ethical question of whether this is plagiarism, and let's skip the artistic question of whether the movies produced by AI are "any good". No, the point here is that all these pigs are about to be drowned, choked, with so many movies that it will be complete and total overload. I remember growing up you might go to the movie theater two or three times in a year, it was a big event to see the new John Wayne movie, or Mary Poppins, etc. But now it is total overload and with AI everyone can make a movie or a short video. It used to be that you needed some expensive equipment, cameras, lights, and microphones, not to mention editing equipment to make a movie. When they were made with film you really had to be committed to try and do it, once they were made digitally it became something that almost anyone could do. As a result we now have 115 million Youtube channels. Yesterday we were considering buying a sewing machine so we pulled up a whole bunch of videos where people show you how to use that particular machine.

14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

The people who make a living off of the film industry are being removed. Think of each movie they made as one of these swine. Something they are able to sell to others to consume. I remember when there were three major TV stations. At that time if you were on one of those three channels you were a star. Maybe a news anchor, maybe Lucille Ball, but that was a big TV star. But then they had 100 channels on cable and being on one of those channels far less famous. But now with 115 million youtube channels, having your own channel does not mean very much at all. There are a few well known names, there are some people who make decent money from their channel, but for the most part the film industry is choked.

15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

Doesn't this seem weird? These gang leaders in their right mind and the dirty business of pornography is all cleaned up. You see no one needs 115 million channels of pornography. Instead we get people who make videos explaining how to do something. The one we saw yesterday was a woman showing us how to use this sewing machine to embroider. On this blog I have shared links with people who teach the Bible. Hollywood had become Hollyweird. But now with all these channels we are seeing people using critical thinking, people teaching real things, and for the most part "people in their right mind". Why would that make anyone afraid unless the goal is to manipulate people and you realize that power has been broken.

16 And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.

Think of the swine being the two thousand biggest names in the movie industry whether they are directors, actors, producers, makeup artists, editors, writers, etc. They used to be big, fat swine that thought they ruled, but now that is all dead. Any kid can write, produce, edit, act, and direct a movie. If you have access to AI which costs $31 a month you can make movies. The software generates video, does voice overs, and will do everything you need to make the movie. This is why they are afraid. They can't control the message, they can't control the manipulation.

17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

We saw that, California took the lead in asking Jesus to leave their coasts.

18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. 19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

This is what the 115 million Youtube channels should be about, tell others your testimony. Tell them how great things the Lord has done for you. Tell them how God had compassion on you. Be honest, because the nightmares you had before getting saved are the same nightmares they have right now.

20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

Publish your testimonies on the internet, on Youtube, etc.

Being healed by serving in the church charitable ministries

Mark 5:21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.

This is the good side of the railroad tracks. A large gospel rally.

22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, 23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.

31 percent of 12th graders report having used illicit drugs in the last year. In 2023 we had 109,000 drug overdose deaths in the US.

24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. 25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

Besides illicit drugs, the legal drug industry is also a racket. We have 46 million Americans with at least one drug addiction and the drug companies promoted this by selling highly addictive opioids. In just the last year 9 million Americans misused opioids. Coca Cola started out by using drugs to make their drink addictive. Cigarette companies worked with scientists to make their cigarettes addictive. 89% of seniors over age 65 take prescription medicine. 54% of them take at least four or more prescriptions. 6.3 billion prescription drugs are dispensed each year in the US.

How does this become so pervasive? TV and movies made cigarettes look sexy, and the ads have really pushed the subliminal message that this pill or that pill will make your life better. With kids it is the rock and roll music appealing to the "rebel" in each kid, encouraging them to take illegal drugs.

28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

In the Bible clothes depict the righteous acts. When man sinned that was when they became naked. They covered themselves with leaves depicting their works and then God clothed them with skins depicting the Lord's sacrifice. Drugs are made from leaves. Sin causes us to be naked, we try to cover that with these drugs. It can mask the fact that you are depressed, or manic, or delusional, or whatever is ailing you. But what we really need is to address the cause, the sin in our life. In the New Testament we are told to put on Christ, that we are clothed with Christ, and that Jesus Christ is our righteousness.

When you preach the gospel know that a third of these teenagers are using drugs and the other two thirds know that their friends are using drugs. They also know that adults are hypocrites with 90% of the seniors using prescription medicine. It used to be people thought "that was different". But let's be realistic, 6.3 billion prescriptions involve a whole lot a drugs designed to mask the effects of mental illness due to sin.

29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

Depression is a plague among divorced women. They did a sample of divorced women and found that 70% of them have severe depression. But that depression can be healed straightway by getting involved in a church with their ministries to help feed and care for the poor.

30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

We need to see these people. Don't just see a throng. See people suffering from depression and from drug addiction. This is so pervasive that it impacts virtually every unbeliever. Every teenager is impacted by illegal drugs whether or not they take them. Every divorced woman is impacted by depression whether or not she is clinically depressed. Every senior is impacted by prescription drugs by the drug companies, 90% take them and the other 10% are probably married to someone taking them.

32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

What we need is a community where we can be active, where we are needed and where we can help others. The church gives you that opportunity.

Public school is dead, but Homeschool can resurrect your kids

Mark 5:35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

Public school has been exposed as being truly horrible at indoctrinating kids, pushing horrible doctrines, and being a complete failure at their mission to teach the three R's.

36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

I think that the church can be the cure to public school. You have the facility where you can have dozens of kids coming to be "home schooled". You have the building, you have the staff, all you need is a few more people which the parents of the homeschooled children would either pay or fill in the role. Khanmigo is $4 a month, that can teach any subject you feel unqualified for. When I homeschooled my kids each Saturday I would go to the library and we would pick out the books they would read that week. I considered every book they read to be part of their english lessons, some of the books were on history and social studies and so those were their social studies lessons. Some books were on science so those were their science lessons. You can read a 300 page book in one day. The library has a list of a hundred books that kids should read at each age, so you get two of those and your kids get to pick two more and then you round it out with a history or science book. Kids in homeschool can still participate in the after school sports programs like baseball and football. In my experience the teams I was on was the major socialization, the classroom is a terrible place for socialization. My favorite teams were swimming, football and hockey, and also debate. This would give your child a much better education than they would get in public school. Also you can teach a foreign language. What you want are books on tape in that language along with the books, preferably starting with picture books. The kid listens to the tape while reading the book. Then you work up to movies. If the movie is based on a book the kid reads the book first, then they can watch the movie. Do not worry about speaking the language, focus on reading and listening comprehension. Speaking and writing will develop organically if they are given plenty of written and spoken input. If you are intensive a sixth grader can become quite competent in a foreign language in one year.

There are a lot of people who are making a tumult about public school, weeping and wailing greatly. Moms for Liberty are simply one example.

39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

Kids are bored out of their minds by public school. Think about the Dick and Jane books they used to teach people to read, boring, incredibly boring. You can be in a high school class where many students in the class can barely read. It is painful to listen to some of these kids try to read a few simple sentences. But here is the thing, you don't need to entertain the kids, that is a mistake. Our brains want to learn, it is how we are created. If you are teaching us stuff we already know then we will be bored, if on the other hand you are teaching us stuff we don't understand we will be frustrated. That is the beauty of this approach reading age appropriate books, it is always something new so the kids are learning and it is something they can understand. The kids you are seeing so much trouble with in public school can be resurrected in homeschool.

40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

My two oldest kids came over from Taiwan, did not speak a word of english, and I homeschooled them for three years (6th, 7th and 8th grade). My son passed a HS entrance exam for one of the specialists HS in NYC and wound up as valedictorian while my daughter went to a high school of two thousand kids and also became valedictorian. No one knew until their senior year that english was not their first language. My son's principal was from China and after he was chosen to be valedictorian she talked with him and told me how impressed she was with his Chinese because he didn't have an American accent! That was when she found out it was his first language and English was his second language. At my daughters school they were distraught because she had not taken a foreign language and that meant she would graduate without an advanced degree and that would look bad for the valedictorian. I asked "can she simply test out of this?" They said yes. I said give her the Chinese test. That was the first time they learned that English was her foreign language. I have heard all kinds of interpretations for why this girl is 12 years old, what I know is that our public school system has 12 grades of education, and so I think this is an equally valid analogy.

41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

For a sports activity when I homeschooled my kids they had a karate class at the church. The church was almost five miles from our home. So they would walk, or ride a bicycle or roller blade to church and then participate in the class. Over the three years they both became black belts and all that exercise going to and fro to the church made them extremely fit. I knew that when they first arrived from Taiwan they would be targets of bullying at school. Three years later when they went to HS no one bullied them.

42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

My youngest son had been born with all kinds of difficulty and so from six months he had physical therapists, and later speech therapists and occupational therapists. So when he turned five or six he started taking violin lessons. I felt the fine finger work would help with the occupational therapy and the music would help with the speech. It is like baseball, see the ball, hit the ball. I felt the underlying problem with the speech was the hearing. It did not take long before he no longer needed speech or fine motor therapy. However, he was going to go to HS and they were going to require him to have a para. I asked why and they said because he could not walk up stairs without assistance. So I took him hiking in the Adirondacks. We hiked up about ten of the 46ers, mountains are over 4,600 feet high. The first one we did was Mount Marcy. We were on the trail at the crack of dawn and we finished around 9pm, it was pitch dark and we barely made it off the mountain. For most people it is a six hour hike. We went up another mountain, the snow and ice was so slippery that my son could not even get up the very first incline we hit. We hadn't been on the trail for five minutes. So I took off my belt and tied it so my belt loops so he could hold the belt as we hiked up. The bottom line, by the time HS started he no longer needed a para. It was difficult at first, but by the last few mountains he was able to go up much faster than me.

The Green Eyed monster

Mark 6:1 And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him. 2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? 3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

In Zechariah 1:20 the Lord showed Zechariah four carpenters. The general thought is that Melchisedek, Elijah, the Messiah, and the one anointed for war are the four carpenters. Jesus is all four of these. He is the prophet that brings judgment on Jezebel and the prophets of Baal, he is the Messiah, anointed to be king, He is a priest according to the order of Melchisedek, and He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the captain of the host.

Why are they offended in Him? Is this jealousy? Is it envy? Or is it bigotry? Do they feel that you have to go to seminary and get a Phd before you can teach the word of God?

4 But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

Everyone knows that Jesus is the Carpenter's son and yet only those in his home town hold that against Him. This isn't simply bigotry against those who didn't graduate from seminary, it is jealousy. I saw this the most in the black community. If someone rises up out of the hood to be a success, perhaps go to Harvard, and become a doctor. The only ones who are jealous are those from the neighborhood he grew up in.

5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

Be warned, jealousy and any sin held in your heart will short circuit the work of God.

6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

Think about this, the "offence" was based on jealousy and now Jesus is calling it unbelief. Either you will hold to your bigotry and it will become a root of bitterness and jealousy and defile you with unbelief, or you will discard it so that faith can grow in your heart.

Who let the dogs out?

Mark 6:7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

This chapter concludes with Jesus healing people all over the land, but it begins with how He is unable to do that in His home town because they have this root of jealousy growing in their hearts. If you are praying for a miracle, if you are praying for healing, first examine your heart and make sure there is no jealousy or root of bitterness in your heart. You have to remove that before the tiny seed of faith can grow and bear fruit.

8 And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse: 9 But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.

Wow, I love this! I used to do a lot of hiking and we had to carry everything on our backs. Those packs would be fifty or sixty pounds. To take a walk without a backpack was a pleasure by comparison. What is interesting is that they were to take a staff, a walking stick. This tells me there were wild dogs. We are coworkers of the Lord. He'll take care of food and housing, but we need to be ready to defend ourselves from the dogs. How many of those who go out with the gospel are not ready for the attack from the dogs (evil workers, the concision, those who pretend to be Christians but are really spies trying to bring you into subjection). When you are dealing with dogs it is all about the mind. I had a job once taking a census and I ran into many wild dogs that would attack me. I found that in my mind I would visualize killing this dog and the dog would sense that, back down and run away. Dogs are looking for fear, if they sense you are not a lamb but a lion about to rip them apart they will run. The Lord allows us to be attacked by wild dogs to train in us this mindset that Jesus Christ is the Lion of the tribe of Judah and no one can dare attack us.

For example in the last week we learned the head of our worship team, the head of our children's work and the second leader in the worship team are all leaving the church. Three people all of a sudden announcing they are departing for an unknown period of time. Is this an attack from the dogs? Prior to this announcement we had seen our Pastor was going through a serious attack, he asked us to pray for him but gave no details.

So then, here is my prayer this morning for them:

2 Kings 6:8 Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp.

Lord Jesus we ask that you reveal the plan of the enemy and their camp and their traps. I especially lift up the Church, the Pastor, the worship leaders and the leader of the Children's work.

9 And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down.

Lord Jesus we pray for warning signs, let us know if what is happening with the worship leaders and the leader of the Children's work is a warning sign of the Syrians coming down to the Church.

10 And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.

Lord we pray for the church and the pastors and those in ministry that they would heed this warning and be saved many times.

11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?

Lord Jesus we pray trouble the heart of the enemy that they would see you are defending the church repeatedly from his attacks. Confound them, trouble them, cause them to be broken beneath you, the rock of offense.

12 And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.

Lord Jesus, we pray for a microphone into the bedchamber of the enemy so that we would hear and know all the plans of the evil one against the church and all the saints.

13 And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan. 14 Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. 15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

Lord Jesus, since they have laid a trap for your church to fall into we pray you would lure them into your own trap to be taken and captured.

16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Lord Jesus, I pray open the eyes of the pastors, ministers and saints that we would all see the angels that are defending the church, give them dreams, visions and a word from You to see that You are with them.

18 And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

Meanwhile Lord, we also pray that those who have plotted against the church to destroy them with hidden traps and snares. That they would become blind. Your word says that the curse causeless shall not land, we pray that the curse of blindness they have sent out onto the church would return onto the head of the ones who sent it out.

19 And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria. 20 And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.

Lord I pray lead these blind ones who have attacked your church, your beloved, into the hands of the Pastors and ministers and leaders.

21 And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them? 22 And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.

Lord we pray that those who are one with the Satanic and demonic overlords, those involved in witchcraft to bring down this church, that they would be fed with the word of God and that they would be refreshed with the water from the word and that they would be converted. May they, like Saul of Tarsus, be confronted with Jesus Christ, the king of kings and may they realize they, like him, are blind, and may they be converted.

23 And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel.

We pray that all these occultic forces arrayed against the church would be terrified of You. We pray You would be glorified in their eyes and that God the Father would be hallowed. That You would teach them they are powerless against your church and if they dare to raise their hands against Your church they will be put to an open shame. Amen and Amen.

Does anyone follow the Lord's instructions?

Mark 6:10 And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. 11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

A few years ago you could not say certain things on Youtube concerning Covid19 and the vaccine. Now according to the Lord's instructions that meant you should have shaken the dust off and left. But did they? No.

Others were not permitted to question the official narrative about January 6th, according to the Lord's instructions that meant they no longer welcomed you, shake off the dust and leave. Did they? No.

I was suspended from Facebook for a month. They didn't tell me what the offense was, they didn't tell me what post was offending anyone, they didn't tell me what rule I violated. All of my posts were based on the Bible so my understanding was they wanted me to stop speaking the word of God. That same day I cancelled my Facebook account. The same thing happened to me on two other Christian forums I had been on. I shook off the dust there and left them as well. I have also left Youtube.

We are not to submit to them when they no longer receive you nor hear from you. We are told to depart. When you stay you are helping to build up Facebook and Youtube even though they have just revealed to you that they refuse to receive the word of Jesus Christ nor hear it. Just leave, you don't want to be there when the day of judgment comes.

I know one ministry that complained vociferously that all of his videos over decades were lost because Youtube cancelled his channel. But prior to that happening he was already bending over backwards to comply with their rules (remember when people would come up with clever ways to talk about the forbidden topics). Instead of playing that game he should have shaken the dust off, moved all of his videos to his website and directed everyone that he was departing and explain why.

Do not distract me unless it is something very important?

Mark 6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

I have heard that "there is nothing wrong with having a little fun". In other words it is not sinning to go to the shopping mall to hang out. It is not sinning to spend a few hours watching a football game or basketball game, etc. It is not sinning to out to a bar and have a little fun drinking and dancing.

So let's address this because I suspect every single Christian has heard this. We are aiming at the mark. If we misaim we will miss the mark. But suppose you are not misaiming, you are aiming at the mark. You might still miss it. The New Testament mentions both, misaiming and missing the mark. Obviously misaiming is worse than aiming at the mark and missing the mark.

In the occult they misaim, they believe in God, they believe in making sacrifices to God, but their "prayers" are devilish and they are not praying to Jesus, but to demons and fallen angels. Now you might think believing in God is better than being an unbeliever? But to misaim is like Saul of Tarsus rounding up anyone his religion didn't like.

So when they say "there is nothing wrong with having a little fun" they are saying they are not like Saul of Tarsus, they are not misaiming.

OK, but I think of sin as a magnet. I am throwing a dart at the dartboard and this big magnet is pulling on it so that it will miss the mark. They say "there is nothing wrong" but is it helping you to hit the mark or is it helping you to miss the mark?

My standard is not "to do no wrong", the standard in the New Testament is if by any means I might gain Christ. This thing they are saying there is nothing wrong with, are they gaining Christ?

It seems to me the one common characteristic of all these things that are "fun" is that you cannot fellowship about the Lord. The bar with the dancing will have music so loud you can't talk. The basketball game, the football game will be filled with distractions and loud cheering making it impossible to fellowship about Christ. All of these events are simply a waste of time where people can ignore their relationship with God and the sins they need to repent of.

13 And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

Do you understand now? The reason these ones are powerless to cast out any devils much less many devils or to heal those who are sick is because they fell for the temptation. You would rather watch someone else play a game, a shadow of spiritual warfare, rather than actually be a spiritual warrior. You would rather drown your sorrows and failures at a bar than actually heal those who are sick and anoint others to be victorious.

People who say "there is nothing wrong with having a little fun" have a goal of not being something, rather than of being something. If your goal in life is to not be evil then it makes sense you would say "nothing wrong with this", but if your goal is to be something it is completely different. I remember the story about Larry Bird. He told his girlfriend not to distract him while he was practicing unless it was really important. She comes down and tells him there is a very important phone call. It was Sport's Illustrated, they wanted to do a cover story about him. He got angry and told her "I told you not to distract me unless it was something important"!

Macbeth and the birthday party from hell

Mark 6:14 And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him. 15 Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.

This is like the internet, lots of half baked opinions.

16 But when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.

Do you remember the story of Macbeth and his wife washing her hands of the blood after they murdered guests in their home? When you commit sin you can try to hide it, but it is there. A small sin might be like dirt swept under the rug. But a big giant murder, very hard to hide and soon the body begins to stink. Even if others can see what you did they can smell the stink. This is what is happening with the Charlie Kirk Assassination. They were trying to hide embezzlement and money laundry through the non profit organization. But they can't, those records are public, anyone can download them and look at them, they are on the IRS website. The people who seem so cold and calculating will become mental cases just like the story of Macbeth or the story of Judas.

17 For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife: for he had married her. 18 For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife. 19 Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not: 20 For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

Why is it that we never suspect the wife or the girl of being evil and satanic?

21 And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee; 22 And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee. 23 And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.

Why would you do this? Bizarre, a damsel dances at your birthday party and you will give her half your kingdom? I do not understand this expression but it certainly sounds like a guilty father trying to buy his daughters love.

24 And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.

Wow! I used to see a TV show as a kid about a guy who would give people a million dollars and then watch to see what that did to them. People would do all sorts of things with the money and it almost always ruined them. But they never had an episode where the person used the money to behead someone who had said something they didn't like.

25 And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.

What kind of family is this, are they all psychopaths? This is like a horror movie.

26 And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.

It is hard to believe that such a big fool could be the king. But we all are a ruler over something. Rather than judging King Herod (the Lord will do that) we should examine ourselves and our own foolish mouth.

27 And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison, 28 And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.

Launching the ministry

Mark 6:29 And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

So Mark talks about John the Baptist being killed as soon as the disciples are sent out to minister. Think of John the Baptist as the forerunner, like the first stage of a rocket. He is killed so that the second stage can ignite. In Matthew he launches Jesus ministry when he baptized Him but then his death launches the ministry of the disciples.

For example, consider Charlie Kirk's assassination. I went to the memorial because I knew his death was a significant end time event. Prior to going I heard a lot about his stance as a Christian and his evangelistic ministry on college campuses. When I got to the memorial they had Christian singers for the first few hours and then when it started Charlie's pastor kicked off the Memorial. Everything that I would expect of a Christian ministry. But then it took a sudden right turn into the ditch. One politician after another talking about how powerful that ministry was in getting them elected. The president of the US was there. This was as big a political event as this birthday party for King Herod. What was the big deal over Charlie, there was a lot of dispute over his stance on the LGBTQ+ community. This is not that different from John the Baptist telling Herod it wasn't lawful for him to have his brother's wife. That memorial service was Biblical just as the disciples taking up John the Baptists body and burying it was Biblical.

On the one hand Charlies ministry and assassination have truly paved the way for the gospel, on the other hand his ministry is a warning to us about becoming unequally yoked with politicians and large donors who have their own agenda.

30 And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.

This is a great failing of most of Christianity. I spent the first 20 years of my Christian life in a church where everyone had an opportunity to share a testimony at the Lord's table meeting every Lord's day. We need this, we need to have experiences in the ministry and the gospel each week and then on the Lord's day we need to come together and everyone share their experiences of the Lord. Maybe you enjoyed a hymn, maybe you enjoyed a verse, maybe you had a wonderful experience, maybe you had an answered prayer. This is what the Lord did with His disciples but this is not what most of Christianity does.

31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

This is also a reference to a retreat. But a retreat is not so you can all come together and listen to more sermons. The purpose of a retreat should be to reflect on what took place the previous year.

32 And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.

This is the other problem, a retreat should be in a desert place, not a place with worldly distractions. Many of these "Christian" retreats are held at resorts. This is supposed to be an opportunity for everyone in the ministry to fellowship, not go sightseeing.
