12 Baskets Full

Mark 6:33 And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him. 34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. 35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: 36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. 37 He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat? 38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes. 39 And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. 40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties. 41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. 42 And they did all eat, and were filled. 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. 44 And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

This is a major lesson to learn when you first start ministry. The job can look overwhelming, how are you going to feed all these people. You want some great big incredible testimony. But then you learn that some kid has a testimony that with the Lord's blessing can feed five thousand and you get 12 baskets full after everyone has eaten. This makes no sense when you are talking about food and yet we have all had this experience. Some small little testimony that strikes a nerve and causes an outpouring blessing and everyone goes home blessed. For the most part Christianity doesn't do this, they are afraid to let people in the congregation get up and share their testimonies.

45 And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people. 46 And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray. 47 And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land. 48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them. 49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: 50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid. 51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered. 52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

Mark directly ties this to the miracle of the feeding five thousand. My first year teaching it was brutal, I was killing myself trying to keep control of the class and teach them. After a few months I got laryngitis. I was terrified, how could I teach a class if all I could do was whisper? So at the start of class I would ask a kid to help me, they would stand up, I would whisper to them what I wanted to tell the class and then they would say it. I was stunned at how helpful and attentive the kids were. The lesson here is that you need to realize you don't have to do it all. If you have different members of the church sharing their personal testimonies and if you have the Lord in the ship, then you will be surprised how much easier everything is. Having faith includes having faith that the Lord is in the other believers as well.

53 And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore. 54 And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him, 55 And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was. 56 And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

No advertising, no marketing, he doesn't spend money on food, doesn't spend money on venues. Let's compare our ministry with His. Why are these people running to Him and carrying about people to Him? They hear about how He healed someone in a home meeting, or how He healed someone on the street and no one wants to miss out. His ministry is focused on healing people and because of that He doesn't have to pay for any of the other stuff.

Send in the fault finders

Mark 7:1 Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem. 2 And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault. 3 For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.

Notice this is "some of the disciples" and they did not find Jesus teaching this, only that some who were following Jesus did this.

4 And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables. 5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?

They are charging Jesus because He is not teaching His disciples to walk according to the tradition of the elders. They are not blaming Him for teaching people they don't need to wash their hands, they are blaming Him for not teaching the disciples to follow the traditions of the elders.

6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

This is a major problem with Christianity, they teach commandments of men as doctrines rather than the word of God. One example is 1 Corinthians 14, this is the only chapter in the New Testament telling us how to hold a Christian meeting and in that chapter Paul said "whenever you come together each one has:

26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

But the vast majority of Christianity ignores this.

8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

So they lay aside the commandment that each one should be able to stand up and speak in a meeting and share the thing they enjoyed and instead have traditional teachings on the washing of pots. According to Ephesians we are washed in the word. In Christianity they have commandments on how to minister the word in the meeting. Some church services are so choreographed that the words of the Priest and the congregation are all written down. They have a liturgy which tells them on a daily basis what Bible verses they are in. Nothing is organic, nothing allows the Lord to speak through the members.

9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

The commandment of God is that everyone has, everyone is to bring something they enjoyed of the Lord that week to the meeting and they reject that commandments so that they can keep their tradition called a liturgy.

Identifying the source of the problem

Mark 7:10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: 11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.

This was the first commandment with a promise and the promise was that it would be well with you and you would have a long life. So if we simply look at where that is not true, for example it has not been well with our Public school and we are seeing a lot of kids who are not having a long life but are being killed by gang violence and drugs. Then we can see where we have not honored our father and mother. Now this word "For" means that this explains what He said about them not honoring God's word but rather they are teaching their own traditions as commandments. School has been twisted. It used to be called "read" and now they call it "study". They used to say "I am reading history at Oxford" which is now converted to "I am studying history at Oxford". This is significant, study indicates you are preparing to answer certain questions on a test whereas reading indicates you are reading the books. Many of these bible studies are organized around questions. They read a passage, ask a question, and everyone is encouraged to answer that question. However, reading is different. If we were covering chapter 7 of Mark you would encourage everyone to read the chapter and then when we come together each one can share what they enjoyed about that chapter. When the tradition is that the teacher "teaches" and all the students simply sit and listen then you have to ask questions to elicit a response. Your tradition has corrupted the process. As a result no one would refer to their studies as "reading". Today, in public school it is more common for kids to graduate High school without reading. When I homeschooled my kids I gave them the fewest tests legally allowed. In NYC we were required to have them take a standardized test every two years and so that is what I did, they took one standardized test after two years, it was the entrance exam to the specialized High schools. Instead I had them read, in my opinion their teachers were the authors of the books they were reading. Every week we had "guest lecturers" people like E.B. White and Jack London and Mark Twain and Charles Dickens. I was a teacher in the NYC public High schools, I taught science, and my students scored very high on the statewide regents exam each year. When factoring in improvement from previous tests they had taken my kids were far and away the highest performing kids in the city. I remember what one kid told me, my favorite comment: "you are the only teacher in this school that doesn't teach". I tried to minimize my speaking, often down to 5 minutes, and then set them free to do the work themselves for the rest of the period. This was based on the concept that people learn by doing. When a father or mother teaches you, they teach you by letting you do. We are commanded in the Bible to teach our children, but somehow everyone thinks that if they simply hand their kids over to the public school to teach them then we are free of this requirement. As a result kids don't honor their parents and we have brought a curse on this country.

12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;

Note the word "and". This is a second aspect. It used to be parents taught their kids and as a result kids were trained in the professions their parents were in. I knew a kid who was 16 and was highly skilled in automotive repair. I saw a video of a little girl who is competing in rodeos. But they don't allow you to do that anymore. There is a disconnect from kids and parents. This is not an accidental byproduct, it is a conscious attempt to sever this tie. If the parents can train the children the father will have a garage he works in, the son will soon have three garages, and the grandchildren will franchise this and have ten. At this point they will need kids who are marketing, some who are lawyers, some who go to business school, etc. But the elites don't want competition. They use the public school system to keep you from competing with the large multinational corporations. They want you to train the kids to work in their cubicles, not in their board rooms.

13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

The biggest motivation to a kid is to stand in front of their peers and present something they did. Take that away and you take the motivation away.

Defiled, common, not holy

Mark 7:14 And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand: 15 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. 16 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

This word defile is used in Acts 11:9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

The word is translated "call something common". It is also used in Hebrews 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

It is translated as unclean in the sense of not sanctified. Not holy. To be common is to be not holy.

17 And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable. 18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; 19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

The only way you can become defiled, common and not holy is through the things that enter into your heart. When Jesus enters into our heart we get a new heart, we become sanctified because Jesus is in our heart.

20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

So everyone needs to understand this. The reason they annul the word of God and replace it with their tradition as a commandment is because of evil thoughts like adultery, fornication, murder, theft, covetousness, etc. The schools system has become a law, you must educate your child. True, you can homeschool and you can go to private school. But many don't have the time or money for the other options. The people who make this rule have evil thoughts. Look at schools today, a lot of foolishness, a lot of pride a lot of blasphemy. If these things are coming out then you know what is in the heart. In the whole world they separate boys and girls high schools because they know if they don't they'll get fornication and unwed mothers. So why is it that only the US doesn't understand this? In the rest of the world the high schools have uniforms so everyone will know who the high school girls are, it will be a sign saying not to touch. So why is it that only the US doesn't understand this? Actually they do, that is why they distribute condoms. Science has proven that if you have multiple sexual partners it will be much easier to be unfaithful in marriage and for the marriage bond to be broken. The goal is adultery and fornication and the reason for that is covetousness. They know that single parent mothers are the biggest group of the poor. In 1950 18% of black families were headed by an unmarried female. That is essentially when they desegregated the schools. In 1960 the rate increased to 22%. In 1970 28%. 1980: 40%. 1990: 44% and today it is 73%. Why do you think Mom's for Liberty is complaining about the lascivious books in the library and used to teach the children. They are teaching them to commit fornication and adultery, to have children out of wedlock and to be poor. Then the welfare system rewards unwed mothers while punishing those who are married.

But wait, it is not this bad in the suburbs (not great but not as bad) why? If you have enough money for after school programs those kids are playing sports or doing something after school. That is not true of inner city schools. We had a basketball team in the high school I taught in. There were 2,000 kids in the high school and ten kids on the basketball team. When I was in England in the private school that they called a public school, every single kid was on a team, if you weren't on the first team you were on the second, and if not on the second then on the third, etc.

The school system they have designed for the inner city is defiling, it originated out of evil thoughts to control and subjugate people.

Dealing with an unclean spirit

Mark 7:24 And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.

This is the opposite of most ministries. They advertise, put it on facebook, put up posters, buy ads, etc. This is like Michael Jordan, at the height of their success "he could not be hid".

25 For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet: 26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.

So, if you kids are in public school and if they have an unclean spirit, how do you cast that spirit out?

27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. 28 And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs. 29 And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.

Instead of dealing directly with the daughter, Jesus dealt with the mother. This word is like a two edged sword. In the public school system half of the parents would go ballistic if you called them a dog. The other half are completely subservient and if you said there are truths that are only for the elite in the private school they would comply. The only way to deal with this is to admit your current situation is that you are poor, you are not the elite. They are not treating their children the same way they are treating your children. That is simply the fact. However, just because I have been humbled in this way does not mean I can't consume the same truths. The fact is they can't hide these truths from you, the crumbs fall from the table. Follow the breadcrumbs, remember Hansel and Gretel. They took you into a forest, fed you to a witch, but follow the bread crumbs out of that forest.

30 And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.

It is incredible how fast kids will snap back when they discover they have been lied to. Look at the success of the Charlie Kirk ministry, it is a testimony that kids will respond when they learn they have been lied to.

He maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

Mark 7:31 And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.

This chapter comes with the Pharisees and scribes sending fault finders to find fault with Jesus ministry. With what judgment you judge you shall be judged. Instead this boomerangs onto them and Jesus reveals their wicked and deceitful scheme. They have made the poor deaf so they can't even hear what is going on. They are pushing for fornication and adultery to destroy the family unit because a successful family over generations is the secret to wealth. That is why they fill the schools with lascivious books and blasphemy and why they are so proud and want to get rid of any reference to Jesus Christ. But He also is getting the dumb to speak. The purpose of Public school education is to beat into the kids that they are dumb and not to speak. Flip the script, make the speaking of the children the key to your motivation. There is nothing that will motivate the kids more than knowing they must stand up and speak in front of their classmates. You have to start at first grade because the kids love to participate and it must be woven into all the instructional practices throughout the 12 grades of school.

32 And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. 33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue; 34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. 35 And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.

The secret to speech is hearing. This is what I did when I homeschooled my kids. I had been homeschooling for about six months when we visited my brother. He told me that they couldn't speak (they both were fluent in Chinese and could not speak english). I told him I wasn't concerned about speaking, my focus was on listening and I told him he could speak to them and they would understand. Of course my brother and others did not understand. They thought they had found fault. But three years later my two kids entered HS, and no one knew that english was not their first language and they both wound up being the valedictorians of their respective schools (my son had passed an exam to get into one of the specialized High Schools and my daughter went to a high school with 2,000 kids).

36 And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it; 37 And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

The Game plan for the tribulation saints

Mark 8:1 In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them,

The Gospel of Mark is known as the Gospel of Peter. Mark abandoned the ministry of Paul and later was mentored by Peter who denied the Lord when He was crucified. Both of these brothers indicate those who are left behind after the rapture. I believe the agenda of the book of Mark is very much for those left behind after the rapture. Another way to look at this, Mark is the gospel for dummies (think of all those how to books with that title) whereas Luke is the full gospel. Mark begins with John the Baptists ministry while Luke begins with John the Baptists conception. Anyway, this chapter sounds like the situation right after the rapture. You will have a great multitude turning to the Lord, but they will have nothing to eat. Think about it, those who are raptured are those with all the oil, those left behind have no oil. Also consider this, we already fed a multitude and had 12 baskets full, those are the 12 apostles. This event took place at the beginning of the church age during Jesus' ministry. Now this time we will have seven baskets full indicating the churches. Jesus was the one feeding everyone before, as Peter said "You have the words of life". After Jesus ascended the churches needed to learn to feed the believers with the word of God. Well this is also a picture of the rapture, some Christians have learned to walk by faith, others are simply spectators expecting someone else to feed them.

2 I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: 3 And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.

The "three days" should remind us of the three days that Jesus was in the tomb. Sending them away fasting should remind us of Jesus being baptized (depicting his death and resurrection) and then being thrust out into the wilderness to fast for forty days. The wilderness should also remind us of this. Then compare this with Revelation 12. The manchild is caught up reminding us of Jesus being taken up, this is the rapture. The woman is thrust out into the wilderness fleeing from the dragon and the two witnesses have a ministry to feed the woman for 1,260 days. During the book of Acts we had two witnesses (Peter and Paul) and during the tribulation we'll have two witnesses. These are the two olive trees in Zechariah, and these are the ones selling oil that the foolish virgins go to.

4 And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness? 5 And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

Seven indicates the seven churches.

6 And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people. 7 And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them. 8 So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets. 9 And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

The seven baskets remind us of the seven people who were waiting tables in Acts with Stephen (Acts 6:5). Jesus is our forerunner, He has cut the path of faith. The apostles also walked this path, paving it. The men of faith during the church age also walked this path, the narrow path that few find, making it easier to find and follow. After the rapture many Christians will be left behind and realize they are on the broad way that leads to destruction. They will repent, turn around and find the narrow path. Therefore the experience of Jesus and the Acts of the apostles is a game plan for them. Those who repent after the rapture will be in the same situation as those who were left behind after Jesus' ascension.

Healing the Laodiceans after they are left behind

Mark 8:10 And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha. 11 And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him. 12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation. 13 And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side.

In Matthew and Luke we are told that it is an evil and adulterous generation that seeks a sign and the only sign they will get is the sign of Jonah. But here there is no sign given. So let us consider this using the understanding that Matthew has a specific agenda to the Jews who are saved at the end of the seven year tribulation, Mark has an agenda to the tribulation saints rescued out of the tribulation (primarily by being martyred) and Luke is to the pre tribulation saints raptured at the start. Why is someone who is adulterous asking for a sign? They don't want to get caught.

So consider the sign of Jonah, he was spit up out of the mouth of a fish after three days. That sounds like Laodicea, Jesus said He would spew them out of His mouth. The apostles left behind after Jesus resurrection and ascension were the sign of Jonah. They went to and fro throughout the city telling them to repent because they were about to be judged. Likewise the Christians left behind after the rapture are the sign of Jonah as well. In Luke we are being told that the rapture will be the sign of Jonah and in Matthew we are being told that the two witnesses killed and then raised will be the sign of Jonah. But in the first half of the tribulation no sign is given because they just had the rapture. If seeing the rapture and knowing that you are now left behind does not cause you to repent, then you have hardened your heart, you will not repent and so it is pointless giving you another sign if you are going to ignore the rapture.

14 Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf. 15 And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. 16 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread. 17 And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened? 18 Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember? 19 When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve. 20 And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven. 21 And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?

Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Your faith will be strengthened if you spend time in the word and in reflecting on all the things the Lord has brought you through. Continue to reflect on them because it will impress you more and more how the Lord has been working in your life and leading you to such a moment as this. Then that faith becomes a lens by which you can view the Lord's speaking and get a clearer understanding. Our journey of faith should cause us to abandon our natural concepts and views. In another gospel Jesus explained that the leaven of the pharisees is the traditional teaching of men that is in conflict with the word of God. The leaven of Herod would be those "Christians" involved in politics and who think they will bring in the Lord's kingdom by passing laws and electing representatives.

22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. 23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. 24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.

There is a blindness pervasive in the church in Laodicea and among those who are left behind. It is the teaching of the nicolaitans. The teaching of the elites. They teach some men are giants, like trees walking, and the rest of us are peons who should know our place and do what we are told.

25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

We need to see clearly, every man is simply a man. Some are very capable in some things but lack in others. No one is complete in themselves and no one is unnecessary. It is like the human body, every part of the body has an important function. So we don't disrespect leaders, but we also don't idolize them and put them on a pedestal.

The Scouting report of Satan's Game Plan

Mark 8:26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

They bring a blind man to Jesus, He heals him, but doesn't want him to go into the town or to tell any in the town that Jesus healed him. Why? Aren't we His witnesses? This is sandwiched in between Jesus telling the disciples not to tell any man that He is the Christ and the Pharisees asking for a sign from Him.

27 And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? 28 And they answered, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets. 29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ. 30 And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.

The Pharisees and Herodians had already played their hand in rejecting Jesus. It is not clear in Mark unless you understand this is to the tribulation saints and after the rapture they still are asking for a sign. But when you look at the accounts in the other gospels it is very clear that when Peter says that Jesus is the Christ the Pharisees had already officially rejected Jesus as the Messiah saying He had healed others by the prince of the demons. Jesus knew that they were now heading to Jerusalem where He would be crucified because as Messiah He was a threat to them. Therefore if any of the disciples said this to anyone they too would be crucified.

This word here clearly reveals that the time will come when saying that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God will be punishable by death. We know that this type of persecution does take place in the tribulation to everyone refusing to worship the beast and take the mark of the beast.

31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

This is the point, they have played their hand. When Jesus asked why they were seeking a sign it was because He knew they were planning to kill Him.

32 And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.

Do you get that, Satan's plan is designed to provoke those that love the Lord. We need to steel ourselves, this fight is to the death.

33 But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

Everyone of us needs the mind of a martyr. You must become a martyr long before you are actually martyred.

34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Step 1, I have decided to follow Jesus. In order to follow Him I must deny myself.

35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

Have you ever heard the expression "there is nothing wrong with a Christian doing this"? Well, it may not be sinful, but are you trying to save your life? Don't you know that we are called to lose our life for the Lord's sake and for the sake of the gospel?

36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Are you the one who is selling all to buy the pearl of great worth?

38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Once again, the doctrine that all Christians will be raptured prior to the tribulation is not Biblical. Jesus is quite clear, if you are a secret Christian, ashamed of His words, then the Lord will be ashamed of you when He comes.

couple of comments.

1. I believe it is irrefutable to say that King Charles Heraldic achievement is described in the book of Revelation as a way to identify the antichrist. I am not aware of anything that Tim Cohen says about King Charles with regards to Biblical prophetic speaking not being true. I am in agreement with him on probably everything he has said.

However, just as the genuine Christ has 12 apostles, I believe there are many antichrists, or many representatives of the false Christ. Let's address them:

Obama -- I think he is the Assyrian mentioned in the Bible.

Trump -- I think he is a modern day Nebuchadnezzar

Emmanuel Macron -- I think he will be the one given the keys of the kingdom, just as Peter was.

Hillary Clinton -- I believe she is a modern day Jezebel.

Vladamir Putin -- I think he is the counterfeit's son of thunder along with Maduro.

Elon Musk -- I think he is the antichrist equivalent of John the Baptist, the one who paves the way for him.

The point is that despite everything that refers to King Charles in the Bible there is a lot that refers to Obama and Trump and Macron and Hillary and Vladamir as well. The mistake many make is to lump them altogether and think it is one person even though John told us there were many antichrists. In fact there are probably 500 crucial people in the sphere of the Antichrist right now.

Secrets, everyone has one

Mark 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

Take a look at this experience, it wasn't all of the disciples, it was only three of them, and they were sworn to secrecy to not tell any man until they had seen the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, risen from the dead. In the last chapter everyone got to hear the scouting report on Satan's game plan. That was not a secret. But the glorified Christ, that is a secret.

Phil 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

We need this vision but the reality is the majority of Christians will not see this until after the rapture. Everyone should be praying to see the kingdom of God come with power.

2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

I think it is clear that the number of days is significant for every gospel. In Matthew and Mark it is "after six days" and in Luke it is about eight days. To be fair the seventh day is after six days and if you are near the end of the day it is about eight days. In Matthew and Mark it is the culmination of six days of creation and in Luke they are looking towards eternity. Six is the number of man, so Jesus glorification is after man has tried everything on his own, and eight is the number of new beginnings so Jesus being glorified is like the sun rising on a new day.

3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

This is a picture of the rapture. But it is a prophecy. You are not to tell anyone until Jesus is risen from the dead. I like to think of these prophecies as transparencies. I remember seeing a textbook of anatomy and it had about 25 transparencies showing the human body and you could remove one page at a time and it would show you the skin and everything beneath the body. It was like 25 slices so that you could get a three dimensional view as well as being able to see inside.

4 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

Elias is Elijah and depicts the prophets, Moses depicts the law, the Old Testament is called "the Law and the Prophets". Meanwhile Jesus is the incarnated word of God, so He is the revelation of the Old Testament and the New Testament is that word become flesh. Jesus is going to rule and reign in glory, but it will be after He rises from the dead and defeats sin and death.

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

During the feast of tabernacles, which is the last great feast of the year depicting the marriage feast of the Lord, you make a tabernacle (a shelter outdoors) to remind yourself of when you left Egypt in tents.

6 For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

This helps us appreciate how glorious Jesus appeared and how terrifying it must have been for them to see Jesus in glory with Moses and Elijah.

7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

In the last chapter Jesus asked who men said that He was and we got the full range of opinions. They didn't mention it in Mark but we know from the other gospels the range went all the way from someone who was one with the prince of the demons to the Messiah of God and everything in between. On the one hand it is important to be aware of what everyone is saying, on the other it is even more important to be able to tune out all the noise and hear Jesus speaking. Imagine you are driving in a car through an incredibly noisy city. You hear the construction sounds, people yelling, honking horns and playing loud music. But you close the windows and turn up the volume on your stereo which is playing an audible version of the Bible. We need to magnify Jesus while turning down the noise from the world.

8 And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

Think about what is going to happen when Jesus is crucified. They are going to be terrified, they are going to be in fear. Do you run, do you scatter, what do you do. You will need to tune out the world and focus completely on the Lord's speaking. This lesson may be what Peter, John and James told the other disciples in that upper room when they first saw the resurrected Jesus.

9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things

Mark 9:10 And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

The rising from the dead is the missing puzzle piece. They could not understand what they had seen until they understood what rising from the dead meant.

11 And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

Prophecy is like a giant jig saw puzzle with a thousand pieces. You have to put them all together and it can take thousands of years. There are many prophecies that we cannot understand until we see them fulfilled. Everyone saw reference to Israel being at the center of the End times prophecies and yet prior to 1948 they couldn't understand. Many taught that those prophecies were metaphorical. I remember in the 1970s fellowshipping about the mark of the beast and we could not understand how every person on earth could be required to get it. Made no sense how they could monitor transactions in remote rural settings. But now that we have Starlink, RFID chips, and quantum computers it makes a whole lot more sense.

12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

It used to be fifty years ago that there was no real distinction between people in the world and Christians. All religions seemed to be pretty much in agreement about being good and peace loving. But now there is a sharp, clear divide between evangelical Christians and everyone else. You have these violent religious extremists. You have violent protestors concerning LGBTQ+ issues. You have people defending corrupt and evil men. You have lies and gaslighting being the norm in the mainstream media. This clears up the confusion as to where each person stands.

13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

Yes, they relate that to John the Baptist. However, for us today I would relate that to the New Testament ministry. All of the apostles were treated this way, but the fellowship of the apostles is restoring all things. Over the last two thousand years we have had many men of God who have been one with the Lord Jesus Christ to "restore all things".

Why could not we cast him out?

Mark 9:14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them. 15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him. 16 And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them? 17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; 18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not. 19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me. 20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming. 21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. 22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

Children, demon possessed, where the demon is casting them into the fire and into the water to kill them. This describes kids using drugs and getting involved with gangs and getting involved with protests, foaming out their shame, gnashing their teeth and pining away.

23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Look at this father, first he says your disciples couldn't do anything and now he is wondering if Jesus can do anything. This is the source of the problem. The parents have left God, it is the apostasy. Without the word of God as the truth which is the keel to your boat you get tossed around by the wind and waves. It is impossible to sail a boat without a keel. You will get pushed onto the rocks, you will be unable to steer, it is a disaster.

24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Do you realize that the catastrophe that has happened to his son is helping his unbelief. Seeing that you reap what you sow, and that there are consequences for abandoning the word of God, that is helping him to repent and return to the Lord. Those who are left behind after the rapture will be those who are apostate, meaning they have left the Lord. They walk according to their own opinion doing what is right in their own eyes. It is when things get horrible with gang violence, drug abuse, and rebellion of children that the adults will repent.

25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

In the name of Jesus Christ, the king of kings we also can command the deaf and dumb spirit to come out. Do you realize there was a deaf and dumb spirit concerning Epstein island. It seemed regardless of how much we asked to have full transparency they couldn't hear us and they couldn't speak it into being. But people didn't quit, they prayed and they refused to forget this.

26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

Now we see this spirit crying and violently rending them. They are literally calling for insurrection now that the files have been ordered to be released.

27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

There is a foul spirit in the US, ever since Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election. It is crying out and rending this country sore. This latest plea for insurrection is the death knell. But this is not to kill us, it is to make this foul spirit come out from this country.

28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

This is the key question.

29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

You can't teach this away, you can't debate scriptures and this foul spirit will say "you are right, I am wrong". At some point we need to go on from the rudimentary teachings to prayer and fasting to cast out foul spirits that are trying to destroy people.

What is about to happen is not allegorical.

Mark 9:30 And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it. 31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

We need a thorough and complete understanding of what the enemy is planning so that we can brace ourselves. Look at how Peter responded, he didn't brace himself. Look at the ones who cut off the ear of one of the soldiers, he didn't brace himself. What is about to happen is not allegorical.

32 But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him. 33 And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way? 34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

Do you get it? You can't be the champion unless you defeat the champion. Up until Jesus sin and death was the champion. Jesus is the Messiah, this means like David, He has been anointed to slay Goliath.

35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

If you want to be a leader that is simply ambition. But if everyone wants you to be a leader, that is a calling. The only reason everyone wants you to be a leader is because you are a servant to all.

36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them, 37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

What does it mean to be a servant to all? It means you are a servant even to this child. The Lord will send people into your life and it is your job, as a servant of the Lord, to receive them and not to doubtful disputations.

38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

There are two aspects to the Christian life, you have teaching and you have ministry. There are children who pick up the word and get excited and yet are not well versed. Do not receive them to doubtful disputations. Encourage and teach them. There are others who are involved in ministry. None of us is the head, Jesus is the head. They do not have to follow you, as long as they are following the Lord.

39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. 40 For he that is not against us is on our part. 41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

The apostles have a crucial ministry, a critical calling. But that calling does not mean others are subservient to them. You do not get to tell others what they are to do. Just because the Lord has called you to a high ministry does not mean that He hasn't called them too and if they are obedient they will not lose their reward. Jesus is the head, all of the believers including the apostles are the body.

42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

This is where we can exercise authority. False teachers, and those described by Jude who are trying to cause harm, we can bind the evil ones.

43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

The church is the body of Christ, He can cut off any member that offends Him. Once again this seems contradictory to the assurance of eternal salvation. A body can get a cancer, and we will cut the cancer off lest it kill the entire body. The basic theory about cancer is that the cell has mutated to become cancerous. It used to be part of the body and operating in obedience to the body but now it is no longer doing that and has become cancerous.

45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

The foot would represent those that bring the good news of the gospel, the evangelists.

47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: 48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

The eye would represent the prophets.

49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

The lesson here is very easy to understand without any dispute and we do not need to debate if these people were ever saved in the first place. The lesson is that we may have people who are very much appreciated in the church for the work they do, for their evangelistic ministry, for their prophetic ministry and yet they may get cut off by the Lord. This is a fact, but it needs to be a sacrifice that is salted with fire and a sacrifice that is salted with salt. Think about Ananias and Saphira. They were salted with fire when they dropped down dead and they were salted with salt when Peter warned not to try and deceive the Holy Spirit.

50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Has today's Christianity lost its saltness? Well then, have salt in yourself. Stop complaining about how someone else needs to deal with this and you deal with it and then have peace one with another.
