I agree that all Christians should be supportive and praying for other Christians that live in these hostile areas. Sadly though it is slowly coming to the point and time where even in America and other places, we too will be persecuted and killed for our Christian beliefs as well. It is only a matter of time and in some cases have already begun.
And I agree that it is not right that the same people doing the slaughtering enjoy equal protection in America and other places. But most that are here are the peaceful ones escaping from those in their own countries wanting a better life and to get away from those who persecute.
Not all mind you, but most. Sadly there are some here that want equal protection, but are here only to spread the hate and start the persecution of Christians on our home turf.
I don't believe in judging everyone in a country by the actions of a few that do wrong and evil. I try to tell my cousin that all the time. He puts down my husbands home country and calls them terrorists, and I try to explain all the time, there may be a small handful there that are so, but not everyone!! You cannot put a label on a whole country because of a few rotten apples that do dumb things. If that were the case, what should we call Americans, we terrorize ourselves and mas-murder one another ever day. So does that mean ALL Americans are bad apples and should be labeled as so...no
We can all learn a lot from each other and from other cultures. We need to look at a persons heart and character, not just where they are from. And we as Christians should always stand up and fight for other Christians. United we stand divided we fall.
My apologies for going off subject there for a bit, but I wanted to share the views that some seem to have of these countries that are persecuting Christians, and helping those that are prejudice against all people in some of these hostile countries understand that not everyone in these places are bad. Like my cousin should not be pointing fingers at other countries, when look at what we as a nation do to ourselves and the way we act towards one another.
I just wish everyone could live in peace and be respectful of one another and each others beliefs. If one religion wants the freedom to practice what they believe, then they have the right, the same as a Christian should also have the right to do so as well. And if someone has no religion or beliefs, then be respectful of those who do, especially if they want to be respected for not having any beliefs.
It is all so very simple
