It just seems logical to start by making a list of religions that have synagogues!

Exactly. The collection of synagogues which deny Jesus Christ as God and Messiah. I thought this was obvious, although perhaps not, given the modern day propaganda to the contrary.

Lots of religions deny the Lord and don't call the building they meet synagogues

I think it is those who persecuted the first century Christians.
