Talmud?

Does anyone here pay attention to, of follow the Talmud.

And if so, to what degree.

And if not, why not?

I don't. They are not Biblical writings. But traditional writings from what I understand. They are like commentaries. Some people use them for Bible study, but, they are just as useful as today's commentaries . Not very useful at all imo. They mostly fall along the lines of traditions of men.
As a Christian, other then for a historical perspective an insight into Judaism ,it has nothing to do with me and my walk as a Christian. I rather spend time to learning God's words.

Now before you roundly condemn the talmud, remember this...

Rom 3:1 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
Rom 3:2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

How would we know the calendar today? The Jews (specifically the Rabbins) preserved the method of determining the calendar. (Surely you do not think the Gregorian calendar is the correct one?)

The Talmud can be useful to understand a point. I don't use it as absolute authority, but it is helpful.
